Didn't fit

I think others might really like the Daily Dream but it just isn't for me. The quality seems good and I think it would be a great basic t-shirt bra, although I didn't wear it for long as it didn't fit so can't speak to comfort.
The mesh and embroidery at the sides is a nice detail in the fabrication and the seams in the cups look REALLY flat so good for not showing through shirts. Also the lining isn't too thick so the moulded cups are sturdy but not super heavy. I had a 34K - Curvy Kate » Daily Boost (CK1801) a while ago and from memory it felt much bulkier. Another comparison is the straps which are simple elastic bands without binding or padding. Some will like their slim simplicity although for my size I think they would not be comfortable or supportive enough for all-day wear.
My problem with the fit is my usual one and I know a common one - too shallow and wide. One of my photos shows how the cup joins the wire. It is a vertical join (the cup goes UP from the wire) whereas I need a horizontal join where the cup goes straight OUT to accommodate my projection. My EM bras do this (no idea how, it's a feat of engineering) but I found the Daily Dream like most other bras refused to sit snugly under my bust. It had to sit low with a gap at the bottom and the gore was pushed out and didn't tack.
Despite this the bra didn't cut in across the top and gaped at the sides so the volume is too big for me. In other bras this is about the size I would go for so I think while the sizing of the band is fine the cup might be a little generous.
I ordered a 36K too as I wasn't sure what size I would need. This fit was just the same, only more empty space. I'm not going to re-order a different size as I'm sure the shape will never work.
BUT it could really be a winner for someone.

  • Curvy kates in general are shallow/wide. I tried a few and gave up entirely. 32J here who wears Panache Floris and Ewa Michalak bras for the most part. Wait, I do have one CK i wear during 'shark week' - 32JJ - Curvy Kate » Lola Padded Balcony Bra (SG1901) . Its not as bad . . .
