Didn't fit

this bra was one of the first few that came close to fitting me, when i was trying 34D's. I now know I'm a 34DD bordering on DDD, with wide, spread out breast tissue. It was very comfortable for a while, but now is really too small, although i will go to it in a pinch if i need to. I would like to note that aerie bras seem to run at least a cup size small, as when i was comfortably fitting in 34DDs elsewhere, i would double boob in every single 34DD bra there, even unpadded and unlined.

Appearance: The color is a very pretty pink/coral, almost neon but much softer. its sort of hard to describe- the pictures don't match how it looks in person. the pink is mostly under the lace, except for a large sling of it on the outer portion of each cup that's made of a satin-ish material. That same material is used on the first half of the straps. The lace is a very stark white, with a large swirls/vine and floral pattern, and it ends in a small scallop on the bottom edge of the band and top edge of the cup. The gore has an oversize bow int he same coral/pink. I find it very pretty and youthful, and it made me feel pin up! This is definitely my style of bra. Unfortunately, you can tell its "cheap"- there already some fraying despite gentle treatment and infrequent wear, and the material doesn't feel the best against the skin. its not much of a surprise, considering the market is for teen and young adult girls.

Fit: The Reese is a demi cup, with a ballet back and apparently "perkiest" in rating on aerie. it has some padding along the outer side of the cup and lower bit, but nothing crazy. For me, i got a great lift and some cleavage, but not so much that it looked fake or overdone. it seems almost balcony though, as far as the shape of the cup looks on me.The ballet straps and wider band made it much more comfortable for me than most bras, although i do wish it were 3 hook so that it didn't taper down to a 2 hook so fast. It doesn't give much support and because of this i feel like i get more back bulge, and that combined with the cups running a bit smaller means i need to readjust for spillage often.

Because the first half of the straps are made of a more decorative satin type material, there is almost no give to them, and they cut in even when they stretch because theyre thin. there is a metal ring that connects the front and back half whch i often feel digging at my shoulder blade. This also means its only half adjustable.

For a young girl, these bras are probably best. Like most aerie bras, this isnt made of the highest quality material, and runs about a cup size small. It seems suited to a smaller framed person who wont need to depend on it for long. The plus side is that there are a ton of different patterns available, and almost always bras at aerie are on sale. its a great idea for someone who doesnt want to spend a ton on a bra just to grow out of it, but still wants a cute one. I cant see a woman wanting these, if only because of how poor the quality is- it probably wouldnt last very long.
