Didn't fit

This is an incredibly gorgeous bra made from high quality materials. The deep red silk combined with decorative black lace creates a stunning, sensual and dramatic look. The fabrics feel soft and luxurious. I got this on 50% sale as Bosom Galore was preparing for its transition to Katherine Hamilton Intimates, and especially with the discount price the bra is ridiculously cheap for the quality. It makes me feel like a queen, but I really wish it would fit better.

Unfortunately, the shape of the bra doesn’t really go well together with mine. Classique is extremely wide and shallow, whereas my breasts are projected with narrow roots. I don’t really have a problem with the wideness (although there is 2-3 cm extra space on the sides), possibly because my breasts are rather low-set so the cups stay away from armpits anyway. However, the shallowness of the cups causes the wires to press hardly into my ribs under my breasts, which is pretty unpleasant.

The center gore is very high and wide. This again does not really suit my close-set breasts, but it still works surprisingly well. Due to the softness of the wires the gore doesn’t feel uncomfortable at all. It doesn’t really tack, but it does admirable job in keeping my breasts separated. The straps are adjustable only for a very short part. They work well for me but might be problematic for someone with higher set breasts.

I sized up from my usual UK cup size 28FF because several blogs told that this style runs very small. It was the right decision, and there is no gaping or quadding anywhere. The band was also said to run extremely tight, so I ordered the sister size 30FF as well (and qualified for free shipping!). Indeed, this 28 is the tightest one I have ever tried. I have a 26 inch back and I can close the bra, but it feels quite uncomfortable. However, the 30 band felt a bit too loose already, so I kept the 28G and have been wearing it with an extender so far. (The pictures are taken without extender.)

I also got the matching brief in size 8, and it seems true to size. I usually go for a thong for matching sets, but I was somehow much more drawn to the brief here. It’s comfortable, beautiful and I love it. The edges are quite invisible under most pants as well. I definitely recommend it!

Overall, I was so taken by the beauty of this bra that I wanted to keep it. It just makes me feel fabulous. Still, it’s not something I’d want to wear for a long day because my ribs are being tormented. I really hope that the bra would give in a bit and become more comfortable, but I might be fighting a losing battle. In the future, I might be interested in trying some of Katherine Hamilton’s offerings that are designed for a more narrow and projected shape. But unfortunately I don’t think that they will fit into my budget in a long time.
