The Freya Lucy is an extremely pretty bra. It’s made from a white satin material, decorated with an abstract floral design, black and pink bows detail the centre gore as well as the straps, and the cups are lined with a hot pink lace. The quality is really very good, it’s extremely well made, and the extra little touches, like the bows, make you feel it’s a bra that’s been made with care.

Personally, I find that the Freya Lucy gives a very nice shape, up lifted but not too in your face, and is wonderfully supportive. I haven’t had a problem with the seams or lace showing through even tight t-shirts, which I think is down to the workmanship of the bra, the seams lay very flat. I also had no problem with nipples showing, despite the thin material, but I think that might be down to the seam placement, others with nipples in a different position to me may find it a problem!
The cups do come up a little high, so this isn’t one to wear with low necklines, but as an every day, supportive and pretty bra, it would work very well.

For the fit; I found the back to be quite stretchy, and although still supportive, I can pull the band away from my back a good few inches. My ribs measure about 29” so those in between sizes may want to downsize if you prefer a firmer band.
I found the cups to be too small for me. At first they appeared to contain all my breast tissue and fit nicely - no gaping, no quadboob, or cutting in, but I found the bra felt very restricting and tight. At first I thought it was the band, but the band’s very stretchy, and it turned out it was actually the cups being too small, giving the allusion of tightness in the band (this took me far longer than it should have to figure out).

The other issue I have with this particular bra is the underwires, they are very pokey and I find the centre gore extremely painful, but I do think it’s more down to my shape that the bra itself. My breasts start close to each other at the root, and then splay outwards, giving the appearance of being wide set, when they’re actually not. I thought the balconette style of the bra would be perfect for me, as I thought my breasts were wide set, but it turns out the wires are resting directly on top of breast tissue, and as there’s very little padding on the end of the underwires anyway, they dig in a lot and after just a few hours wear it becomes very painful.

In short:
Pros - Beautiful bra, lovely quality, supportive, gives a good shape.
Cons - Stretchy band, not ideal for close set breasts, underwires are quite pokey.
