    34H

    Didn't fit

This is probably the fourth or fifth one I've owned, if that tells you anything about my feelings regarding this style. It's an overall great sports bra and I've used it for hiking, biking, dancing, yoga, the gym. I've never had a complaint about what I could or could not do. And the variety of color definitely makes it feel less like a boring sports bra. Getting this in Tie Dye Pink really made my day.

This is the first in a 34H after much research to decide my new size. I think the fit of this bra is perfect and I really couldn't ask for it to fit ... any better. The gore has never laid flat in any model I've owned. I don't know if it's because of my breast tissue/placement (my breasts are not close set, the tissue is soft and maleable) but it doesn't bother me nor does it feel any less secure since the material of the cups and the bra as a whole come up high.

The straps are comfortable where they sit and I love how they are thick and padded. There's no cutting into my shoulders. Wearing it in the racerback style does bring the straps a little too harsh into my underarms, but with some adjustment it isn't the worst. Turning it to racerback assists in keeping my breasts as stationary as we can ever expect them to be at this size.

The band feels fairly true to size. Normally, I will wear a 32 in regular bras for the support I need, but because I've noticed that Panache Sport runs a little tight and has overall more structural integrity, the 34 is the better option and I know that the 32 would have been uncomfortably tight for a few weeks until it stretched out a little more.

If you've never had this bra before, the best way to decide your size is to either try them on, or look at the measurements. I wear a 32KK in Ewa Michalak, yet comfortably fit in this 34H. I compared the measurements of my best fitting bra with a few different sizes of this model to decide which was the closest and had the best chance of fitting. And I did not regret a thing.

Thanks for the review! Interesting that you could size down in cup from your usual size :O I never could get a decent fit in panache Sports and I wonder if I tried the wrong sizes. I also wear around 32JJ/K in other bras but failed with 32J and 34J panache sports.

    • 1

Good review I followed the measurements of boodyboo store calculator and put me in 32HH .i keep this size and try and one down I think this calculator run true .i agreed I always try a lot of sizes and I am very disappointed one size down the gore is far away I put two fingers in

    • 1

I'm not sure why the sizing is SO far off, but each panache sport I've had has been in the G-H range depending on the time I purchased it.

I'm not sure if this is something that works for everyone or what the limitations/comparisons would be. (Like I mentioned, my breast tissue is soft and malleable so as long as there's room in the cup, it'll adjust to it.)

    • 1

I also have soft breast tissue. I tried 32J in this bra which I found constricting and tight, then I sized up to 34J and that suddenly is too large, too tall, gaping on top and almost pokes me under my arms. So I wonder if I only should have sized up in band but not in cups and the 32J felt constricting because the band was too tight? :S

    • 1

Oh just saw you added pictures! That bra print is gorgeous. It looks very nice on you!

    • 1

In one pics the gore doesn’t sit flat to your sternum is it bras issue ?

    • 1

alisa I am always in love with anything with fun print and colors for large cups. We don't get enough of them, so thank you!

maraki So my breasts sit just about an inch apart, but the core isn't the strong support of most bras, if that makes sense. The wires don't come up all the way, but there isn't the firm section where the gore of a normal bra would be. I think that's why it comes out. I wouldn't say it's necessarily an issue? It's been this way for any size I've been in, but I don't feel like it compromises the security of the bra. I hope that makes sense!

    • Yes j understand that I thought that this bra in all sizes must sit the gore flat .mine the 32H didn’t sit but 32HH dit’s may be iam wrong th he fits is what breast have if you feel secure ok but this bra I love it

And the search for the right sports bra continues...

So I got this bra despite knowing that the band was too big, in hopes that I'd just take in the back and work from there... (<-- still haven't done that because i'm feeling lazy) but anyways, the depth fits..sort of..

The bra is an encapsulation type sports bra. Unstretched it measures 28 inches and stretched it is 31 inches. I have to hook this bra on the tightest hook, and still it feels a bit slack. Unfortunately this is also, not fully adjustable, due to the comfort straps (1 inch at the front, and 0.75 at the back). But hey ... at least the there's the j-hook. I joke, but I'm actually serious, because it really does make a wealth of a difference. That being said, I expected fit issues, since a 32 in panache is 2 sizes up my 28. (Some bras a 30 is great, not panache).

Both the minimum and maximum cup height were recorded, this was done by hovering the cup between the knees and hanging the tape measure. This was recorded at 13 inches. The maximum cup depth was measured by stretching the cup over the knee. This was recorded at 14 inches.

The fit, of course has it's issues, but to be honest this is the closest okay fit I'm going to get. It doesn't reduce the bounce drastically...support is lost in the band, but for low-medium impact exercises I should be good.... There is a bit of overspill on my bigger side..but it's not enough for me to say it's too small.

I've realised for me I have to straddle a fine line for what overspill is okay, from what isn't...because going a size up would result in a loss of much needed support. The good thing is that, trial and error has helped me figure out, maybe not the exact location, but the general vicinity of that line.

  5. Sports Top (7345)

    30GG

    Fits

I have been wanting to try the Panache Sport Top for a while based on good reviews, and the fact that I like their bra. I got the black colorway which has a bright pattern running down the front sides. I have read some reviews of people who use it for swimming, and it seems like it would work well for this as well as regular exercise.

This top has the same fit at the sports bra, which I like. It provides a good amount of support, and a nice shape. The fact that there is a top on the bra makes it more challenging ... to hook the bra, there is tight fabric on top and in the way.

I haven't worn this to the gym yet, but it feels like the same level of support as I get in their regular sports bra. As stated in other Panache Sport reviews, the band is tight and the cup runs big. For reference, I bought this in 30GG, as the 32GG I had bought recently felt big in both the band and the cup. I had to fasten the 32 on the tightest hook. I can hook the 30 on the loosest hook. I haven't done a thorough measurement of myself recently (although I need to). My under breast measurement is a 28.5 tight, and over bust is 38. I would ballpark my UK size at 30HH.

I haven't worn this to the gym yet because I feel very exposed in it. Apparently I need to 1) get over it (haha) and 2) wear it around the house to try to get used to it. It is not any more low cut than the bra, so really not low cut, nor much cleavage. However, the top is form fitting, and I felt like it made my breasts look very large and on display. I can only imagine how they will look during jumping jacks, even with the purported 80 percent bounce reduction.... I am not sure if this is really portrayed in my pictures, maybe the black makes it look minimizing, but in real life I felt very vavavoom. I normally wear a semi tight shirt on top of my bra, but the fact that this panache sport top is tight across the bra and is also tight under the bra and all the way to the hem highlights the size difference between your overbust and underbust measurements.

    • This looks great on you!

    • Thank you for sharing your review! It looks really nice on you!! I just saw it is on sale on Nordstrom Rack and ordered a few of the sizes to try on. Glad to hear the support level is the same as the bra.

    • Glad this helped braluv . FYI I found someone selling lots of sizes on ebay for $28, that is where I ordered mine, in case anyone else is trying an inexpensive one.

    • Thanks Sonya !

    • That top looks wonderful. How long is it?

    • It really does look spectacular on you. I hope you can eventually feel comfortable enough to wear it at the gym.

    • Thanks Sovavosi and MamaPagan! I will measure it, that is a great idea.

    32GG

    Fits

I took a risk on a Panache sport that was cheap in an adorable black, neon orange and leopard colorway, and was only available in a 32GG. The quality is nice, and the shape this bra gives is very nice. So many larger cup sports bras give strange shapes, but Panache really does a good job here.

I normally wear a 28-30 band (preferring somewhere in between these measurements), and am around a HH or J cup (UK). Panache Sport bras are known for being tight in the band and large in the cup. I therefore assumed that this bra would fit closer to ... a 30H. I figured this would be reasonably close to what I need, especially factoring in that this is a sports bra, and some compression is OK with me. All in all I like how the bra looks on me. It is very fun, and fits reasonably well. I have to wear it on the tightest set of hooks, and although it is not riding up, for the sake of exercise support, I would prefer it even a bit tighter, which lets me know that a 30 band in this bra would work fine for me. The bra cups go up to HH in the 30 band, and I think that would be a worthwhile size for me to try.

I feel that my breasts fit reasonably well in the cups. I am close set, and the gore doesn't tack, but I believe the gore rarely tacks in Panache Sport. More concerning to me is that I dont feel that the outer sides of my breasts, under the armpit, don't feel very contained, it seems like they could slide a tiny bit out. The wires dont extend to the end of the channels on the side, and maybe I would feel a bit more comfortable if they did go up a tiny bit higher. It is weird, I am not used to this sensation, and I am not sure it is really a problem. I guess I will find out as I truly try out wearing and exercising in it.

I'm glad this one more or less works for you. crossing my fingers that it holds up well.

    • It looks good. I hope it fares well and withstands a workout. :-)

    • 3

I feel like there is only so much I can ask for. Lots of people say this bra hugely reduces or eliminates bounce, but I still have plenty of bounce, I think sports bras can only do so much as breasts get heavier...

    • I hear you there, haha.

    • Good bra sciencing veggiechic ! At least it sort of works out for you and you can loosen the band if you find that you have any swelling with exercise or in general. Maybe for days when you feel bloated?

    • 1

AFAIK they don't have a 30HH. I went looking for one on Amazon and the top size I could find was a 30H. That size on me did not fit 2 cup sizes too big. It was the cosmic colorway though, so maybe that one fit differently.

    • Sovavosi , good to know, I have seen 30H as well, but when I looked at the size range listed in bratabase it showed through 30HH. There is only one listed with no review, so it might be a mistake. Mysterious. I actually looked at what size you had to help me make an educated guess on whether this 32GG might fit me before I ordered it.

    • Their sizes are weird, I’m glad this one fits you.

    • 1

When I read your reviews and see the HH I was very happy but it’s no this size in their range I am 29 band and I go for 32H I write my review down I think we must contact panache to change the sizes I know it’s firm backs but it’s stretched out

    • 1

I wrote Panache about making a 28 band in larger cup sizes and they said there's no market for it. They don't care.

    • 2

This is not good they must listen to their customer we must contact inch other and complain that to start their backs smaller and bigger cups I will contact them but they don’t answer me we must do something

    • Hello probably I made wrong I must go down another’s size I write my review in 32GG what do you think?

    • Hi there panache hear us and made this bra in 28 and 30 up to J .i try it and I see how it fit

    • It tops out at a H cup for 28 bands I believe.

    • Hi I buy 30 J from bravissimo iam waiting to arrive

  7. Sports Bra (5021)

Damn is it tight. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> There seems to be a very large jump in cup size from the 30E to the 28E. The shape is much different as well. It has a very FOB shape with an upward point/slope, and very shallow on the bottom half. I couldn't quite feel the bottom of the 30E, but this sits nearly an inch below my boobs! I feel like I'm escaping out the sides, underwires want to sit on breast tissue on the sides, I get major quad on top, and yet there is empty space at the super high apex! No amount ... of swooping and scooping will get my boobs to take the shape of the cup. It's almost shaped like a 7 and my boobs are an upside down seven, so completely opposite haha.

As for the band, it is sooooo firm; it barely stretches and I have to have an extra 2 hooks of an extender for it not to kill me currently. Either my 30E REALLY stretched out, or the dark dye makes this bra run small. I do know darker colors run smaller, and I bought the 30E a long time ago so the bra could have changed over time, but this just seems to run almost 2 sizes smaller in the cups, shallower with a pointier cup shape, and really tight in the band.

On the flip side, IT'S SO PRETTY. Oh my gosh I love the galaxy!! Usually I pass on navy (black or dark purple would have worked with this color scheme as well) but it's so dark and the galaxy is so nice, I just really love the look of this bra. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I'm on the lookout for great leggings that match!

I don't know if I want to try a 28F, or another 30E in this bra if it really has changed over time... I already took the tags off and wore it as a t-shirt bra for a day (which btw, at least that upward pointed shape looks great under a t-shirt haha) so I guess I'm going to make it work for now. I just work out at home. It won't be an option for a lazy day bra any more, but as it stretches and I wash it, maybe it will soften up.

Anyone else notice a difference between an older and newer Panache Sports bra? The model number is still the same... Yet to me it's so different. Hmm.

    • That’s different. I keep hearing they run a cup size too big, but the ones I’ve tried have either been the correct size or too small in the cup. I can’t comment on bands as they don’t sell a 28 anywhere close in my cup size and the 30 and 32 bands are too huge.

    • 2

Sovavosi I followed the "cup size too big" rule on my first one so sized down in cup, but also sized up in band, so technically ended up in a sister size.
Just looking at the measurement comparisons, and how they feel, there is a HUGE overall volume difference between one cup size. I shouldn't have half the cup empty in one and then exploding out the next!
      Thanks for your input. :)

I tried a crap ton of sports bras recently, and this one and the Fit Fully Yours (FFY) were the two winners, each with redeeming features.

Like the majority (read: all but the FFY) sports bras I tried that day, I had to size up to a 32 or 34 band. This one was 32DD but in retrospect, I probably should have tried the 32E, as I had a little more side boob visible in this one than I did with the FFY.

The straps, as is, were fine and fit better than the FFY, but the J hook was fixed and not as comfortable, as it felt like it was pressing on my shoulder blades. I'd be curious to see if it was better in the cup size up.

I do not own this, however I wanted a record of the bra...pics and review for later purposes, and to support the site.

I think that I might prefer to get one used, if at all, because of the not 100% fit.

I have Panache sport in 32DD, 30E, 30F and fake one in 32E. I must say the 30F is best one, it’s snug but not too tight. The 32DD and 30E are definitely too small but I don’t feel any discomfort when using them . I just get little quadboibs over the cups. Definitely is the best bra for exercising, my boobs are painful if I use tops like Nike, Adidas or poorly reducing bouncing. These panache are amazing .

    • 1

I love Panache sport bras even though they don’t make my size. I still use them, that’s how well they work! 😀

    • 1

explain Sovavosi ! i was just double-checking - i can still fit a 32JJ in some panache, but i'm huge. I just bought another decent exposures bra, first bra I've had in ages (I do have bra-shirts, one of which i'm wearing now, which I use for low impact workouts/yoga) and honestly, i dont do high energy stuff, so its enough, but i did wonder if there is anything i can fit in to

    • 1

Well they don’t make my band or cup size so I’m wearing a 32HH. The cups are too tall but the bottom and wires are just fine. I have it hooked on the tightest hook, and the bra still manages to keep my boobs separated and it wicks sweat really well. It doesn’t seem to shimmy up my back that much despite it being 2 band sizes too big. I just use a rowing machine and some weight lifting. I don’t know how well it’d work for high impact because of the band being too big.

How is Decent Exposures for yoga? I was thinking about trying it.

    • 1

Closest I see on amazon would be a 34J, which is close. hmm.

I love Decent Exposure, I wore them for years, but I wear them smaller than recommended, so they act like a compression bra. I like the lined lycra. I have a long-sleeved velour bra shirt I bought for doing yoga in the winter, and its a tad small (but i think it managed to stretch some?) and I like it. I do yoga at home tho!

Weird, I never entered the larger one. I think the one I wear now is a 30 G and its pink. this one is older; 30F - Decent Exposures » Cami-bra Scoop Back (410) . the bra I ordered was a racer-back lined lycra in 31 I, i think

    • I like Panache for medium and low impact, as the sizing isn’t quite right for me (currently sort of 32HH). For higher impact I’d probably squeeze myself into an Enell and cross my fingers. Actually had found a soft cup sports bra with separation that worked surprisingly well and looked like a real bra, but am sized out now (Glamorise). The J hook on Panache has never worked for me, as it makes me feel like my own boobs are suffocating me. I think it would work for smaller cup sizes though (and more slanted shoulders?).

This doesn't fit me as it is two band sizes too big. However, it works well enough during seated exercises that it doesn't seem to matter. I use this while rowing and it manages to keep my boobs separated and the sweat from pooling underneath them. The cups are generous and run a little bit large. This bra also chafes my armpit area a lot less than my 30J - Freya Active » Underwired Sports Bra (4002) despite it being meant for a wider rib cage. A great sports bra, it just needs more sizes.

    • 3

That's awful! Why can't Panache get their stuff together and make more sizes! 😫

    • 3

So true! I love my 30H but have to wear it on the last hook from the start... Indeed, Panache, why? People with 28 backs can't have large breasts? :-(

I'm glad this one works okay for you but it sounds like it's far from perfect. :( The color and design is fun. ;)

    • 3

Panache is far superior to Freya sport IMO. It feels like all these companies are saying unless you are of a certain size range you don’t get to exercise, and that’s wrong.

    • 1

I think only Elomi and Bravissimo make bras that might fit me. I was going to try them because I'd really like them for more active outside time this summer.

I think it's probably hard to design bigger bra cup sizes, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't try. Especially since sports bras don't need the same aesthetics that other bras might

Short roots, projected, center full, close set, slightly narrow, omega shape, short waisted,....

The band is a bit short. You may want to size up. My under bust is 28" and the 30FF was too tight for breathing https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" />

This size fits much better than I anticipated. The cups fit my short-waisted physique well. In several other sports bras, my one complaint was the cup digging into a tendon in front of my shoulder. 32E is one size smaller than I usually wear and my tendon is happy.

However, this smaller size creates a different issue. My lymph nodes begin screaming within a few ... minutes from compression. The cup doesn't quite accommodate my full on bottom tissue. So, it spills over into the gore and into my underarm. Because this is wire free, the gore spill is comfortable and acceptable. However, the underarm spill and subsequent compression hurts.

Because my exercise is often short in duration, the discomfort may be tolerable. Certainly, the bounce is minimal which is my primary concern.

This bra is the most projected wireless bra I have encountered. However, like many wireless bras and several wired bras, the cup collapses and the band digs in while I sit. For me, this really is an "exercise only" bra. The shape is round and my prominent nipples are shrouded. Although I won't choose to wear this all day, I can create an impressive list of reasons why someone else would want to wear it all day.

When I first saw this bra, & its promise of 83% less bounce-reduction, was available in my size, I had little faith it would live up to this promise, or be as comfortable as it promises to be either. Wow, was I wrong! I can jump up & down in this thing, & my boobs barely move at all, which is a mean feat given their lack of fullness after a series of weight fluctuations, making them susceptible to escaping the confines of some bras, although definitely not this one. While it's less flattering than my other bras as far as silhouette under clothing goes, ... it's more than acceptable to wear under a t-shirt when going to the grocery store or similar, in my opinion, & it's my everyday bra due to the comfort it offers in addition to its ability to keep the 'girls' under control while running errands, doing the housework, etc.

Much to my sorrow, my poor, long-suffering bra recently popped an underwire, so I'm now looking for a replacement in my current size, & had forgotten how expensive these bras are when they're not on sale. I got mine at a reduced price because it was a former season's colours, & my old school colours too, so I'm hoping my luck is a bit better this time & I can pick up a bargain again, but in a far nicer colour.

This is the first proper sports bra I have and I'm amazed at the support and coverage it gives. My shape is projected, full on top and centre, with tall and narrow roots, soft and self-supporting tissue, and super close-set. My usual UK size is 28FF/G depending on how open on top the bra is.

The band runs true to size but it feels like the 3 rows of hooks gives a snugger or more secure fit than usual. The cups are wide, tall and shallow, which makes it compressive and high coverage, so everything is held in place. I got the wireless version because the too wide wires ... and gore would become a problem for my narrow and close-set boobs, probably making it uncomfortable.

The straps come with a hook to turn it into a racerback, but in the pictures the straps are already in the loosest setting so I'm not sure how I could use the hooks. This is not a problem for me, as I don't need to wear the bra as a racerback, but if you have a long torso/ low set boobs, the straps might not be long enough for you.

Thank you for this review, it looks really good! I have the wired version and my issue is the wires are uncomfortable between the boobs so I'm going to look at getting this one. How does the seam in the center feel, is it soft? It looks like it could be good for preventing sweat from pooling in that area when working out.

    • 1

That colour is so nice! Glad it worked out for you

    • 1

WildWolff Thanks! I can barely feel the seam in the centre when I put the bra on! My breasts has no space between them so my boobs aren't separated without wires, but they are definitely not smooshed together. I haven't worked out in the bra yet. I think there would be sweat going down my cleavage but they won't be pooled because the centre is floating away from my chest. Hope this helps!

margesimpson Thanks! I love the color too.

    • 1

Thank you for the reply, it definitely helps! I have no separation either and mostly wear plunge bras but I doubt a plunge sports bra would work well. This one looks like it would be supportive while working out and not painful like the wired version I have. I love the color!

Ordered this one recently as I have been trying bras consistently for quite a while now, on my never ending hunt for the one unicorn bra that will be comfortable to wear for every day, I thought I might try a sportsbra for a change (And hoping a fitting sports bra would motivate me to go for runs again lol)

First of all, I love the design of this bra. I love the color combo. And I love the build in J-Hooks. I love the look the most when the straps are hooked to a ... Racerback.
If I wear the racerback bra to often it gets painfull tho as there's too much pressure on the nerves and trapezius muscle that sit right on the neck. Maybe the bands don't adjust long enough too, as you can see I can only wear the racerback when the bands are adjusted to max lenght.

I like that they offer a unwired version because wires are very often uncomfy for me. The Cups are padded and very spacious unlike a compressing sports bra.
It's overall pretty supportive and unlike the compressing sportsbra I've been wearing up until now my breasttissue doesn't try to find a way out, everything sits in the cup savely and doesn't slip under the band, quad or squeezes out on the sides.

The paint on the plastic J-hooks comes off super easy, the first time I closed the hooks a chunk of the orange color came off. Not a big issue but it's a thing I'd try to avoid if I was a bra maker.

I'm practically living in this sportsbra now until I find (or make) my unicorn bra.

It's good that it's supportive! I wonder if a 32GG might work even better--the fact you don't get full coverage and that the straps feel "short" despite not being super tall or low-set suggests to me that the cup may be a bit smaller or shallower than ideal? Since they've been making this one for so long it is usually possible to find past season colors at very good prices...

I've tried the wired Panache Sports bra before, but the size was all off... so naturally it left me with a bad impression.
    I will say that in 30GG I don't think it's half bad.

First and most important -- the gore in this bra tacks on me. It's a soft tack but it's the most tack I've ever gotten in a wired sports bra so I'll take it.
The wires seem kind of sharp though, I can't quite figure out why. Like on the outside, they actually have sharp edges. Not sure how good or safe this is for the bra. The wire channels are mega cushioned on the inside, ... so if they are sharp there, I can't tell.

The cups do run a little bit larger. I find I can't quite fill out the apex of the bra, and not because it's small as the cups don't feel compressing or tight or uncomfortable in any way. I'd say half a cup too large. For higher set breasts/short roots it might be a full cup as the cups are extremely tall. For me, I find if I slouch the fit goes all off, I can't at all fill out the top of the cup. So I guess I should just not slouch.
I don't know if I'd fit into a 30G is the main issue I'm having doubts about returning this, mainly because I think it would be short on the sides. Maybe someday in the future in which case I will just purchase another one cause screw it.
The bra looks nice under a shirt, no pointy, but rather a nice rounded shape. I quite like it. In 30GG for me I fear it wouldn't be very good for anything other than light running/yoga etc. Just cause it's that tiny pinch too large.
Another thing, taking measurements for this bra is really difficult so take mine regarding cup depth/width/height with a grain of salt.

The band I'd say runs very tts. I've seen complaints about the band being tight and maybe it's a colourway thing, but I find this one to be comfortably tight.

So overall I'm pretty pleased with this bra. The colourway is fantastic, kind of a little more feminine and elegant rather than in your face this-is-a-sports-bra, and I find it not very distracting which makes it great for yoga I think. I can't stand colourful loud bras in yoga classes (unpopular opinion but w/e).

That pattern looks great! I find their sizes weird too. Mostly just too tall. The unwired are more closed on top, if you feel like that would work better.

    • 1

Aaaaah I love this one. And that's great that it works for you :)

    • For now it does! We will see how it fares when I get off the pill (which is in like 7 days so).

    • 1

Thanks for the info about it being tall and having room at the apex. I'm certain the same thing would happen to me. I've wondered about this bra, but I think I'll stick with my compression bras...

    • 1

Wilderness1 excuse the crappy drawing but this is how I *feel* my breast sits in the cup... I can't be 100% sure because I can't actually see it but yeah. The blue line is my boob. It sort of acts like a shelf from the bottom and then my soft tissue just sort of sits in it...does that make sense? https://i.imgur.com/NBQ2G8N.jpg
Seeing as we're pretty similar in shape I'd say it's a safe bet you'd have the same thing happen.

I'll also say I just can't seem to pull the wires into my imf although I know they can sit there but the bra is pretty bulky down there and I can't seem to make it right.

    • 2

I love this sports bra. I think I have a similar shape to you both, brasaremean and Wilderness. I size down a cup to a 28FF and it works great for me. It fits nice and snug and lifts/compresses my breasts somewhat so that they fill that little space (like in your drawing) that would be there in a G cup. It feels very secure.

    • Hm Sonya I do wonder then if I should just send this one back and exchange it for a 30G... but I'm so scared it will be small :(

    • 1

brasaremean Thanks for the drawing... that's pretty much what I thought from your review. I have read (in other reviews of this bra), that you do need to size down in this one.

    • I might just get a different one in 30G from poinsettiastyle (cheaper, anyway). Just for comparison. Because when I first put this one on it genuinely seemed like it would not fit on the sides...

    • 2

brasaremean I took apart one of these and the wire channels are actually filled with clear gel. Possibly why it feels weird on the bottom. I don't think that I can actually get mine shoved all the way up in my IMF either.

    Didn't fit

I purchased this bra by mistake, I thought it was the underwired one which I have loved for several years.
Here's how this one fits on me right now :
Firstly, this is the wrong size for me. I should have ordered at least one cup size up, maybe two. I have quad-bood effect in the tiny cleavage it creates on me. I kept it as a lounge bra because it was the second I ordered (first one fitted me even worse) and like a fool I have cut the tag right out of the package. Stupid, impatient me !

The band is tight enough and comfortable, but I feel it ... is maybe not as supportive without the wires, because the straps dig painfully into my shoulders and adjusting them doesn't change that.
In this bra my boobs are squished together and not separated at all. It is not uncomfortable but this bra is more what we call in France a brassiere than a bra. I don't know if it's because it's too small in the cups, or if it's just the cut of this bra, of it's because my boobs are very squishy and soft to begin with.
I was surprised by the very good quality of the material for a non wired bra. It should last a long time without becoming too stretched on women who get a good fit with it. I still feels it should be less expensive that the underwired one, but it's the same price.
The color is coral on the center part and purple elsewhere, it is VERY flashy especially the coral and shows under light-colored clothing.
Also on a side note, it doesn't suppress bounce at all, but the underwired sports bra is like this also on me.

I would not recommend this bra for women with big boobs who like to be supported and comfortable all day long. I would rather recommend its underwired version, which is far superior in support and comfort even when it is ill-fitting, believe it or not !

Look at what I got!!! A couple weeks ago Figleaves was having a sale and I was able to snag this beauty for £29.40 plus shipping, which translated to about $61 CAD (which is basically the best price I've seen in Canada for the Panache Sports bra). Well, I got this in the mail on Friday and I went for my first run wearing it yesterday, so these are my first impressions.

First of all, it's so vibrant in real life! I love it! Secondly, its quality and craftsmanship is absolutely impeccable. There isn't a single thread out of place. Third, it fits pretty well! I was lucky to ... be able to try on a 30F at Broad Lingerie in Toronto when I was there last, and Sam said that this Cosmic colourway (and the black) runs a bit tighter in the band than the other colourways, so she said I should be fine with the 28FF. It fits well on the second set of eyes for me, and I really enjoy that it has three hooks! The encapsulation is a very different feeling to the compression of my Shock Absorber Ultimate Run that I'm used to. I don't know which I prefer yet. The gore does not tack on me, so I don't feel quite as locked in as I was expecting, but it still seems to support me well. I will probably need to shorten the straps down the road, but for now they're fine. I don't know whether I'll use the J hook or not. My Shock Absorber can only be worn racerback style, and it feels very secure that way, I just don't like the tan lines hahah.

In this size range, this bra seems to run small in the cups. The measurements are in the range of other 28F bras I own from Panache and Cleo. It is shaped best for someone with at least moderate projection and who has some upper fullness and tall roots. For those who are shallow or very FOB, I would say you may be able to size down, but it'll depend on whether you still need the depth at the bottom of the cups or not.

Overall, I'm happy with this bra so far! I'll be sure to give an update down the road to let y'all know how it holds up over time https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

This bra might be life-changing. I've never had a proper sports bra that actually fit me before. Before, I used to just wear 2 sports bras and hope for the best. It worked, but it was very tight and my boobs would be squashed together. Peeling the things off after a sweaty workout was almost a workout in itself.

The Panache sports bra is a game-changer! There's no wires, but the cups are molded in such a way that they lift and separate my breasts. The cups hold my breasts in place and keeps them from bouncing around. There's also a J-hook at the back for more support, or ... to coordinate with your top. The neckline is high enough that my boobs won't fall out during yoga inversions. In fact, it covers enough of me that I think I'd feel comfortable wearing it without a shirt over top at the gym.

The band hugs my ribcage - my boobs don't feel like they're trying to escape beneath the band (a big problem I'd get in sm/med/lg sized bras where I'd have to size up to fit my breasts). I love the fact that there's a proper closure at the back - no more trying to wiggle out of a sweaty bra after a workout.

    Didn't fit

Edit: Update December 2016 - 3 months of owning this bra:

The band has gotten very stretched very quickly. It was never all that supportive so I only wore it one to two times a week for the duration of a workout (not the whole day or anything) and still, the band unstretched is now 26", and it stretches to a ridiculous 33.5". I've only hand washed and laid flat to dry so I'm really disappointed overall with the quality of this bra. The band is just too loose to even wear for exercise anymore, and I have other bras that are more comfortable for lounging. ... I hope others have had better experiences, but I wouldn't buy another unwired Panache Sport and wouldn't recommend one to anyone in my size range.

    ---------------------------------
Well - I read reviews of this bra so I knew about the bottom of the cup folding issue. For me so far it's not uncomfortable and doesn't seem to show under tops but I do worry about the cup collapsing more and the straps having to compensate and take more weight. Mostly I feel great working out in this bra because I've been wearing badly stretched out sports bras with too little room in the cups for years, basically forever. I get migraines from nerve trigger points on my shoulders and neck - so it's something I'm really aware of - I just didn't know there were bras with less painful straps! Which makes me wonder... I always thought my nerve problems were related to repeated shoulder dislocations as a swimmer in high school and college - but now I'm wondering if others with large busts have this issue? I dont have a particularly small frame and didn't feel I suffered from the back issues smaller boned busty women frequently have, but perhaps my breasts have been more physically challenging for my body to lug around that I realized!

Anyway, this bra is still a tad too small for me, I've got some quadding at the top of the cups and the cup (even the fold area) is fully filled - I think the bottom of the cup fold is a construction or design issue, because there are two layers of fabric, I'm fully filling the internal coral shaped cup part but somehow on the outside it looks like there's empty space.

I like this encapsulation design, though for me there is still some compression since I'm being pushed up out of the bra. Panache sport cups seem giant and I didn't want to be swimming around in a sports bra, but if I bought this again I'd go with the 30H, which I believe is the largest size they make in this style. Probably because the weight of breasts that large can't be adequately supported by the design, hence the bottom of the boob fold.

One note about measurements - I think the other reviewer may have had a typo in her bust perimeter measurement, On a full inhale my perimeter in this bra was 40" and I believe the initial measurements say 48. Since the rest of our measurements line up quite well, I don't believe this bra could physically be stretched to an overbust perimeter of much more than 40", the material is not elastic and I fill the cups completely with some overflow, I suspect 38 was the actual overbust measurement. So beware if you have a >40 overbust measurement and thought this might fit due to the other set of measurements.

This bra does feel supportive, but in this size range I must agree with the other reviewers and say it doesn't reduce bounce or jiggling the way a good compression bra would. I never had luck running in my wired panache sport either though, for the record, though it probably wasn't properly fitted either.

I hula hooped rather aerobically in this bra for a half hour yesterday and it felt great - plenty of stability and took so much weight I'm used to off my shoulders. Yoga today was also great wearing this bra. I've jumped around some and expect it won't do so well on the treadmill - it doesn't stand up to that kind of repeated vertical motion. For that, in this size range, I'm thinking I'll have to go to a compression style bra... or a couple layered together.

Almost all my retro style nonwired bras fold at the bottom, it does not cause strain on the straps at all :-) I'm now more like 37-38" bust but was previously fuller busted, bigger than you are currently (probably around 41-42" over) so I'm pretty confident this should not be a problem for you. An excessively loose band or insufficient coverage/containment of the upper breast could be a concern for strap pulling though.

    • 1

I've also been wearing this bra already for a while at the gym and haven't noticed any issues caused by the folding of the cup. The straps feel the same way as for the wired version :)
