This is and my Freya Mode are my first bras to actually fit! Yay! I was wearing a bra size too big, and I finally decided to take the plunge to try something that the Bratabase recommended. It recommended three discontinued Freya half cups (Freya Tartan was one of them). So I looked at which half cups that had similar measurements/the same cut that weren't discontinued. This bra seems to fit better than the mode only slightly, but they are the same cut and have very similar measurements. I think this one is my favourite because it seems more structured which works well for me because I have soft tissue. I don't even get much gapping on my smaller side with this bra which is crazy. The width is perfect, everything is great. I find it so comfy and it looks gorgeous, smooth under clothes, nice lift, perfect!
My boobs: currently changing a lot cause I'm 21 weeks pregnant. Normally narrowish (but growing), FOB (but growing more even), soft tissue, low-set, close-set, projected/pendulous
I have another Deco half cup in 30F. This 34F is a good size for now. I like that it mostly stays in my IMF even though there isn't a lot of room at the bottom for my projected boobs. It does a great job of hoisting the girls up. The gore is narrow/low enough to not give me too many problems. It's a great width for me, but as I grow with pregnancy/breastfeeding it may sit on some tissue and get uncomfortable.
I love that it's a great t-shirt bra while still being supportive. Yay Deco half cup!
This is now my best fitting bra- it's not "THE ONE" but it is closest I've ever gotten. Very decent immediate depth at the wire. I might try a band extender until the band gets some wear- it's a bit tight for me- more tight than many freya bras are.
This swim top is very flattering. All my Freya's fit me well although longlines are more comfortable. I used to wear 34f but between losing weight and being convinced I needed a smaller band I switched to 32f. I just altered the band on this to make it fit me again. I folded over about an inch of fabric and used my sewing machine to sew it in place. It sounds like a lot but it's not noticeable.
I really needed a new nude-to-me bra that would disappear under thin shirts, as my old Fantasie Smoothing (the unpadded one) was getting stretched and dingy. I like that this bra has narrower wires, and a nicer shape, and the padding isn't overwhelming. I prefer entirely unpadded, though. I should have gone with a 32f/ff I think because it's only a month old and I am already on the tightest set of hooks. The bra gives a nice rounded, slightly minimized shape and disappears under the thinnest of shirts I own, which is excellent, but it's still slightly east-west. Fits my soft boobs a lot better than the deco, that could be because of its balconette shape rather than the plunge of the deco, and is a lot softer and less contraption-y.
Love this bra. It was a great fit. My breasts were lifted with a round shape I liked. I like the secure feeling from a long lined bra but the extra fabric always rolls up. As a bonus I could nurse with it if necessary. I lost weight so it is too big currently but it's so comfy that I'm holding onto it for the next pregnancy.
Great to wear under t-shirts as the seamless cup doesn't show underneath. The band is a bit tight compared to other 34 bands in the Freya line so if you're in between sizes, definitely try on the higher band size to see if it will be more comfortable.
The cups encase my breasts nicely, though my larger breast is in between an F and FF so I do get slight quadboobing after scooping and swooping, but it fits my smaller breast perfectly. The support and uplift is great, like most of the other Decos, and gives a nice rounded shape to my wide-set breasts.
I wish there were 3 hooks per column as opposed to 2 as it doesn't hold the weight of my breasts as well as it should. I find that throughout the course of the day my breasts pull the front of the bra down so it sits lower than my IMF and so it does get uncomfortable if I don't readjust.
Overall I really like this bra and recommend checking it out.
If you're in between band sizes, it's best to try on the larger size as it tends to run small. This bra gives great support and lift, though I find that the material on the band chafes my back. It worsens the longer you wear it. I find that I have to run my fingers on around the band to try and alleviate the discomfort. The first time I wore this, I had red marks from the band being so tight. I usually wear a 34 band in the Freya line, but I could have gone up to a 36.
This doesn't give cleavage as great as the ...Freya Deco Darling, but for everyday wear it is nice and subtle. After scooping and swooping I have significant spillage resulting in quad-boob, but after a few hours my breast tissue sinks back to the side and I find that I have to periodically adjust throughout the day.
It would be unwise to wear this bra underneath a thin shirt as the seam of the cup is bulky and is noticeable. The blush colour is also unsuitable for white shirts as it can be seen. Overall if you're not sensitive to certain materials this would be a good bra to wear everyday underneath thicker shirts. Read more 106 more words
Definitely size up in the cup and size down in the band as it is stretchy. It gives great lift and support and I actually have cleavage with this bra. However, I wouldn't wear this with tight fitting shirts as you can see the edge of the cups from underneath especially when you sit down.
This Freya half-cup @Rapture bra was my first half cup in my correct size-ish, (I need a 32FF), & a revelation; I don't have hard-to-fit, weird boobs, I was (mis)fit! Searching for a bra that fit, I discovered Bratabase via an @Amazon review, & measured myself. I am not a 36D as I was told during my "professional fitting" @ Vicky's Secret; I'm a 32FF! So I began my mission to find flattering bras that fit; were comfy & supportive w/o shoulder strap pain, were flattering, & pretty. I have tried many, many different brands, cuts, & styles. I now know that ...b/c I'm short & short-waisted I need shorter cups; half-cups are ideal. I love this bra; everything about it is flattering. The cut makes the most of my shape - nothing cuts into the top of my breasts, the cups aren't too close or far apart, it doesn't flatten my boobs into my armpits for the round shape, the profile isn't so high that my clavicles look like they have melons growing out of them, & the support is fantabulous. Plus, it is super cute. It's so comfortable I wore it for 12 hours the first day without once wanting to rip it off of me. I love it so much I got the Neon color & will get it in nude & any other color available. (I have this in both 34F & 32FF now, same for the Neon colorway) This is my holy grail padded bra. This unlined, unpadded, half-cup Freya @Marvel bra is made of a soft, matte stretchy material. The small amount of lace is geometric rather than floral & placed on the cup itself instead of extending past it. The top edges of yhe cups lie flat & don't cut into me. It gives a nice round shape which is not something I'd ever thought I'd find in a Freya. (I feel this brand gives more of a "natural" shape, like @Panache) It's supportive & doesn't pinch or mash me anywhere. The straps are adjustable along the whole length instead of just a part of the way. It has three rows of two hooks. I love it.
Love love love this bra. My first longline, the six hooks initially were intimidating. But I quickly got the hang of it. I have lost a lot of weight and my old full cup style was no longer working. This was the first bra I found that made me feel attractive again. It really does fit as perfect as I could hope for, and gives a lovely shape with enough to exposure for medium low cut tops. The hummingbird pattern and color are lovely. The "longline" is not your grandma's torso covered, but seems just enough to to make everything else fall in place. My new favorite.
This bra is great! Love the look of the denim print. The band fits large, so I recommend sizing down. The cups are true to size for Freya hatlfcups. I love the look of the longline but it does tend to roll up with wear.
I'm so excited, I don't think I've ever had a bra fit as well as this one. It's perfect for my semi-shallow shape. It's so soft and flexible in a way I haven't felt other Freya bras. There is a slight problem with there being more lining fabric than the outer one, but since I have to move the straps a bit further in on the cup, it's not too much of a problem fixing this at the same time. Also, despite the straps being too wide over my shoulders the cups still lie flat against my chest, no strange bulging of fabric.
Because of the lining problem, together with some lace, the edge of the bra shows quite prominently through clothing.
I chose to say this fits because it's not absolutely perfect, but it does the job. The wires are a bit too wide, but they don't impact the fit for me really. I suspect the reason I don't get quadboob is the cut more than anything. I have grow a bit since I got it and sometimes I feel like I don't get as much coverage anymore, although the support is still okay.
Since I've grown a bit this isn't as comfortable. It feels like instead of quad boobing, it slides *up* the breast (if you get what I mean) so that the wire sits slightly on breast tissue under the armpit. The wires were juuust about right, I guess they could have been a smidge wider. The straps are scratchy, though.
Yay what a great success story!
