I have shallow 28C/D breasts and this bra fits surprisingly well. I simply don't fill it up completely (slight wrinkling, moreso on smaller breast). But it gives me a smooth line from breast to cup, smoother than even the Marcie. I wouldn't wear it though simply because unpadded bras don't seem to agree with me. My nipples are always hard and they just don't hide it well enough, and the shape under a top is not the most flattering. Band fits nice and snug on a 28 ribcage, snugger than their padded bras.
I bought this as an everyday comfort bra and unlike the first few 28 band bras I bought, this one fitted without feeling too tight. Perhaps I'm getting used to them and am making a better transition from my old bra size (32A).
I was quite surprised with the fit of the cups though as Cleo bras are normally a very good fit on me. The centre of the cups looked too close together and when I'd put it, on it was indeed closer than what I am underneath! I think I would have done better buying the next cup size up but sadly they didn't have it in stock so I shall stick with this one.
It is otherwise a comfortable basic everyday bra that gives a decent shape underneath a tight top.
I accidentally ended up with this, after Asos made a mess of my order. At first I was pretty reluctant to keep it, not being a big wearer of fluro animal print, but I tried it on and it's actually a pretty good fit.
The band is fairly tight for a 28. It fits me well when on the tightest hook, while I find most 28s are still a little too loose on the tightest. The cups seem to run a little small too - I am technically quad-boobing on my biggest boob. I am quite uneven though (possible a cupsize + difference) and there is still some significant gapping on my smaller side. It's definitely wearable though. The straps are quite wide-set, though not to the point they bother me, and I need them nearly at their full length, despite being very short. Wires are slightly too wide.
All these problems are quite minor for me though, and it's a very comfy, wearable bra.
Cup runs slightly small (which is great if you're in between 28C & 28D). My favorite bra at the moment and my only 28 band. Slight gapping in certain positions and have to re scoop & swoop once in a while since it's a moulded bra.
I really like this bra. The band seems to be a bit too stretchy (stretches to about 30), but that is the only complaint I have. (also the reason bratabase is listing this under "Didn't fit") It's exaggerated because I need a 26 band, but someone who is 28-30 would probably be pretty comfortable with this. I have to wear this on the tightest hook from the start, so I do not know how I will fix it when the bra stretches. There is not enough room for a rixie clip, and very little to alter down with the strap placement being so close to the hooks.
Edit: After a few wears and a few bigger bras, it's become more apparent that this bra is too small. I won't be keeping it.
This was my first bra by a full bust company, after wearing 32A/B for years. The cups are just a bit too narrow (but feel fine), and they cut in along the top edge on "big boob days". The shape of the cups is not good for me in this size, they're too pointy from the top and pushed to the center. The band fits well, I don't have to adjust it throughout the day. As people usually mention, the lace doesn't really sit flat.
I think the cups were a little small for me, and I will be swapping this out for a 28DD to compare. I quadboobed out the tops just a little too much, and the sides were resting on my breast tissue. I'll give that size a proper review if it fits better.
I got the scarlet Marcie, and I it had the defect in the seam that is common. The horizontal seam on one cup is pulled too tightly and cuts into the middle of my breast. I hear this is an easy fix by wetting and pulling the seams, but I don't want to risk being unable to return the bra.
I wish this bra fit me! The center gore is soooo comfortable. I love the way the cups craddle my boobs. The straps are soooo soft that I forget I'm wearing them. There is also no noticing of where the straps connect to the cup (like I get with my Cleo Maddie).
This was a really good tshirt bra, just not for me. It is very lightly padded, and the small lace detail at the top seemed to stay hidden under clothes. The cup size was one too small for me here, and I measure a true 28D. I had to try on a 28DD in this bra.
Unfortunately, the center gore stabs into my sternum. I tried several methods/directions of bending the wires, but I couldn't get it to work right. ):
OK, so this bra FEELS great, and fits a hell of a lot better than any other t-shirt bra, and looks great under clothes. The cup shaping pushes stuff inwards, and creates a nice cleavage without adding bulk. I was afraid the seams or the lace would show, but they don't, and the top edge only shows a little even though it's very thick. There's no gapping or quadboob.
There's just a couple of issues:
1) This is totally personal preference, but I was hoping that this was full coverage, or at least 3/4 - but this definitely fits like 1/2 cup or less. I'm keeping ...it because I don't actually have a good solution for the wideneck days, but I was expecting something with a bit more coverage. It's not really a support problem as much as i like having fabric in the underarm area.
2) The top edge. Ugh! While I have to give credit that this doesn't show through clothing unless it's skintight, the top edge is REALLY thick (like maybe 1/2 in or so where it meets the seams), and looks sort of goofy on it's own. Compounding the problem is that the lace is sewn on wrong - it will wrinkle and fold under no matter what your shape. It's pretty clear the lace part was added to distract from the really thick edge, rather than form a functional panel. Read more 128 more words
I sent this bra back before I signed up for Bratabase, so unfortunately I don't have any measurements. Sorry!
However, I found that the band was unbearably tight, even on the outermost hook. I could barely extend my lungs out all the way wearing this bra. It also gave me a very very slight quadboob (almost unnoticeable).
The wire placement (other than general tightness from the band) was wonderful for my wide-set roots, and my breasts filled out the lovely lace cup which is rare for me in an unpadded bra like this one. I would love to find this bra in a 30D, but I haven't had any luck.
I had high hopes for this bra because I heard that it runs small-ish and is good for shallow boobs, but unfortunately this did not work at all. It seems I have a same problem as the other reviewer that I don't enough tissue at the top. The measurement suggests that it should fit, if not quadboob. Yet I get a massive gaping at the top... Other than the cups, I thought the band felt pretty normal for a 28. The outside of the cups was smooth and did not show through. It would be a great T-shirt bra if it fits.
Cute and promising bra, but unfortunately being a moulded bra it didn't quite match my shape. I'm more full on bottom than it wants, maybe? Or more likely the gaping along the top I got was the result of my forward shoulders; due to scoliosis, I can't pull them back into "normal" comfortably.
This was my first experiment trying to find my true bra size. I don't think either the size or style worked for me. The band feels a little too tight even on the last hook which I didn't expect. It gives me protruding underarm fat on both the front and back. The cups don't feel big enough and seems suffocating, esp. on my larger right boob. Quadboob on both sides and a tiny bit of wrinkling in the lace material near my left nipple. The underwire digs into my ribs on the right side and leaves it aching after wearing the bra for a few hours. With a t-shirt on, it made my boobs look way too close together and pointy. Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with this one.
I bought this bra when I was trying to figure out my size.
It was much too small for me. Massive quadboob, not wide enough and cut into my breasts on the side. The tight band is what you can expect from other Cleos.
I will try this in a 28DD when I get a chance because I think it might work well.
I think the fit is pretty similar to Jude, except Sally seems to be a bit pointy compared to Jude under shirts. I had the center gore problem again, but that mostly went away after I bent the wires a bit outward. For some reason though, the wires dig into/press my sternum when my posture is bad (slouching, hunching, etc.), but the pain and pressure go away when I straighten myself up. Maybe this bra will force me to be in good posture...
Close, but I think the cups are just too wide out, and the cups near the bottom and the outer edges are shallow and flat and don't fit my breasts in them. The wires actually move down below my inframmory and there's a little crease sometimes that occurs.
The biggest disappointment was that the top of the cup curves in way too rapidly, causing a disruption in any smooth silhouette between breasts and cup. Instead of cupping and making the most of my shallow breast tissue, cup stops short and cuts right into it, leaving a ton of tissue out!
Cute bra, cup size is right, just definitely not the right shape for me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
