This is a story about how there is more to a bra that fits than just knowing the cup width and depth. In this case, the cup width and depth would seem to be almost perfect for me. It is very similar to other bras I own. However, the shape is awful on me. I like a bra that will lift and has a high apex. This apex is very low. Well below my nipples low. This causes an inverted seven shape (did I describe that phenomenon correctly?) and is very unflattering on myself. I'm guessing that this would look better on someone who is full on bottom, ...rather than my even shape.
The first time I tried this bra on, I immediately noticed that the gore was floating very far from my sternum. The wires in their natural shape are too weak to stay near my ribs. I measured the cup depth and knew that wasn't the issue. So I bent the wires. It fit much better, but because of the shape mismatch, I have to concede that there is nothing I can do to make this work.
The band has been altered with elastic added at the back. The band fastened on the last eyelet (there are four eyes, but only one hook) felt okay, but I noticed that the band was lower in the back than the front. The straps were already at their shortest length so these straps are too long and would need to be altered to be made shorter.
The bra lives up to its "comfort" name. It is very comfy and would be a good "lazing around the house" bra. The colours are attractive and the lace is pretty with cute bows at the gore and straps. Really nice, but doesn't really fit me. I wear it for lounging anyway, and is very comfy for things that doesn't require any movement , but offers no support (because the band is huge on me).
This bra is pretty, comfortable and supportive. It is made of 100% silk. My only issue is occasionally the straps tend to slip even at the shortest setting. Maybe taller girls will not have this problem (I'm 5'0")
I wash this bra in a BraBaby cage in cold water on gentle cycle. Comes out of the washer in perfect shape. Dries in an hour under the sun
I fell in love in this bra so I ordered it in 30F although I knew the band would be too big. It´s because I didn´t find this bra anywhere in 28FF, it was sold out.
The bra consists of indigo blue lace on top of cups, and petrol-coloured silk underneath.
The cups are quite the same as in my other Mimi Holliday bras, except they seem to cover my nipples / areolas a little bit better than in the same model Elferine, which I have in 28FF. I think I am very slightly quadboobing but I´m not sure if going up size would be better. The quadboob seems ...to be a problem when I first put the bra on and swoop + scoop heavily. After a while it seems to disappear, so i don´t know... I´ll have to keep following, what´s going to happen.
Already said that the band is too big. When I wear it in the tightest hooks it´s decent, but I´d prefer it to be tighter. Straps are okay, they are only partly adjustable but fine for me. EDIT. Yes, quadboobing, and the center gore is not touching my sternum. I will still wear this, it is so pretty!!
EDIT. The wires if some Mimi Holliday bras are very stretchy. So the cups will get a little pulled when wearing the bra. So beware. I replaced the wires of this bra so they are much sturdier now. Read more 158 more words
This is a soft cup bra in petrol - blue colour. I ordered it in 30F because 28FF was not available.
The cups are good on me, they fit well, they just don´t lift much and aren´t very supportive. Straps are partly adjustable which is fine for me. The 30 band fits best when in the tightest hooks, however I can wear it in second tightest as well. 28 would be better though.

This is a soft cup bra. I ordered it in 30F because 28FF was not available. I have had most success with 28FF in Mimi Holliday.
The band would be better in 28, now I have to wear it in the tightest hooks. My underbust measurement is 26-27 inches, comfortably tight.
Also the cups are a little too small. The center gore doesn´t lie flat, and when I push it, there is quadboob / boobs escape from the center. I find that the cups run small in all padded Mimi Holliday bras, 1-2 sizes. In comfort bras (=soft cup) I find that cups usually run 1 size too small.

This is my first time trying a Mimi Holliday bra in my usual size, 30F. I hadn't been able to try on even a sister size at Nordstrom, which has some very attractive bras from this line, but not this one, the Mimi Holliday Bon Bon Rose Lace & Silk Satin Balcony Bra.
I like how this bra covers relatively little of my chest. The height of the cup, calculated in a straight line from the top edge of the cup, over the apex, and down to just above the underwire, is only 5.5." The bra presents a very open, square neckline. My Fauve half cups, by contrast, ...go up much higher, both in the center of my chest and where the cups meet the straps.
The straps are only partially adjustable, but I could shorten them enough for me. I'm short and small framed, so partially adjustable straps can be a problem for me.
Unlike my Fauve half cups or the Cleo Marcie, however, the Mimi Holliday Bon Bon Rose Lace & Silk Satin Balcony Bra's profile is vaguely pointy. It has a horizontal seam across the entire expanse of each cup, both in front and back. I believe this would be a great bra if it had one or two vertical seams instead. Beautiful bra! The band is too stretchy for me though and I probably need a 28 band in it. The cups fit true to size but my breasts slide out of them quickly because the band is too loose on me. Would be great for someone who's a true 30 or in between 30 and 32. It was really comfortable for the 10 minutes I wore it. The padding on the cups is only about a quarter inch thick, and there is no push up pad.
Wires are a bit too narrow for me, to be honest, and it's too close together in front for my wide-set build. Also, too big in the band as I'm a 28. Cute, though.
