I love this bra. This is the best bra.
I've just entered the world of sub-30 bands. For a year prior, I had been wearing 30Cs and telling myself that those were tight enough, because I was not going to enter the 28D hell. (and a hell it has been!) But my god am I glad I bought Mimi Holliday.
Mimi Holliday bras are glamorous, elegant, super sexy, comfy, made out of really nice materials, and just amazing. I feel so great when I wear this. I actually bought the bra in two colors, blush and bloom, because I'm so in love with the brand.
I love that Mimi bras ... are padded and very round, despite not being a molded cup, because I find that my small bust won't round out nicely in an unpadded bra. I love that the cups are tiny and the wires low, because I don't want or need high edges on my small frame. I love the bold colors and pretty lace, for giving me playful lingerie options.
This bra is not for people who prefer modesty. It's almost designed so that your areolae peek out - go check the promo photos on their website. It's also a very delicate feeling bra, a fact reinforced by having only one hook in each column on the back closure. I cannot imagine this bra being very supportive of or even covering much of a larger bust. The cups are shallow!
But, if you're a small chest, check this brand out!

Only complaint: these are high price point bras. Buy on sale or prepare to pay a lot.

    • Looks like you got shallow wideset breasts. You might want to check out the padded halfcups by "Cleo by Panache", ie Cleo Martha/Sadie/Juna/etc as well as Curvy Kate Thrill Me/Tease Me. Ewa Michalak might also be a good brand for you to try, but use their size calculator.

So, I added Coco Loco recently, in 30GG and it was way too small in the cup. I ordered another one in 32GG, wich is my last chance with this brand
as they don't seem to have a H. And I barely believe it, but it fits. The band is almost too large but ok right now.

The cut is literally perfect for my bust shape. It works so nicely, it lifts enough, it gives me a very very rounded shape and the wires are narrow enough.
I still can't forgett it when I wear ... it, I'm still very aware I'm wearing a bra when I wear it out, this might be because it is still sliiiightly tight, the longer I wear it the more the wire is pushed down and then I start quadding a bit. Weeell I kinda got this order right before my period and my boobs start swelling exactly a day before so I'm praying I will shrik into a 10/10 fit in a few days. Still, It's my best fit so far!

The only thing I'm disliking a little bit is the hard wire, I'm way too sensitive and such things bother me kind of quickly, I'm gonna see how the wires work longterm.

I also ordered the matching panties, they are cute and sexy and all but if I'm honest - not the kind of thing I can wear every day without beeing bothered, everything under the sun slides around and wears out on me, so it's mostly average cotton panties and "boyshorts" for me. But I like to own matching sets

Yet another bra that would fit perfectly if only the cups were 1-2 sizes larger. Unfortunatly I ordered this in the biggest cup-size available. The wire width is narrow enough, the cups give a the nice and rounded/ more shallow then projected shape I'm looking for and the underbustband is quite tight. Would be absolutely perfect if the cups weren't too tight. I did gain even more weight recently but I'm keeping this in case I (hopefully) loose the extra kilos again. I'm open for suggestions if anyone knows a brand that offers a similar ... cut with larger sizes :/

Style-wise: Honestly, the outstanding designs that Mimi Holliday offers were what originally intrigued me, sadly they only offer a few bras that fall into the size range that is even remotely wearable for me. I've never seen a bra in this kind of pastel green shade and I love it. The design is really cute and fun and the fabric is really light and soft and the price is good.

(Might add better pictures tmr, it's already dark now)

ooohhh... I've never tried this brand, becasue I need narrow, deep projected cups. I wear 65G in Ea MIchalak. Might have to try a Mimi :)

    • It's absolutely worth a try at least :D This one is even on sale right now on the Bravissimo website~

    • 1

Such a beautiful color! Sorry it doesn't fit, but I am sure it would sell quickly here on Bratabase if you list it though. 💚

    • 1

I love Mimi Holliday as they have shapes that are compatible with me. Unfortunately, over the last 5 years, they have narrowed their size range on both ends and I am currently sized out. I can still make do with shortening bands though as I do love their colour combinations. Given that you find the band tight, you may want to try a 32 band.

This was an unknown eBay purchase, and despite much online searching I can't find the model (there's nothing on the tag, no model # to go by, and the seller didn't have much info either). From the construction, it looks like one of MH's "comfort" bras. The color scheme looks very much like the Coquette series, except they don't seem to have made a comfort bra in that colorway, so I'm stumped.

This was so nearly perfect for me. The cups fit great, wires are comfortable, the stretchy lace is very breathable for summer wear, and the wings aren't too low or too high. However, the straps were ... WAY too long. I generally don't have to shorten straps much on bras (I think because I'm low set despite having short roots?), but these wouldn't adjust short enough for me so I've had to alter them (taking almost 2 inches off) to get a bit more lift out of the cups, which don't really have a ton of lift to begin with. The projection is good, and while it's not the most supportive bra I've tried, it's fine for me as my breasts aren't very heavy.

Problem #2, for me, is the velvet trim on the band. It stretches, but it thins out a lot when it does, and that cuts in and hurts after a while. It's not comfortable at all for long-term wear, and I'm trying to figure out how I can maybe create a frankenbra out of this one by either adding something to it or maybe replacing the band entirely (maybe something a bit wider, especially since this bra only has ONE row of hooks, ouch). I love the rest of the bra, and really want it to work if I can make it happen. Elastic velvet is definitely something I'm staying away from in the future.

Mimi Hollidays in this size range are getting increasingly difficult to come by. I bought this AW 2013 model new with tags on eBay.

Man I love this brand. You put it on and feel no pinching, poking, or scratching at all. The only thing I wish was different was the 1-hook closure. I feel like it creates wrinkling on the sides of the bra, and some "back fat" which I don't care about but I feel like the tension would be more even if there was another hook or two.

General notes on the "fully padded super plunge" cut:

It is very low cut. It covers the bottom half ... of the boobs, and the nipples, and that is it. The padding is soft and about 1/16" thick with no gross push-up bump or anything. I used to hate padded bras and one of these was my gateway into them. It does not make my boobs feel like I'm trying to make them look enormous or anything.

The cups are a little shallow but I feel like this helps give "cakes on a plate" cleavage. I'll see if this slides out of my IMF after a day of wear before I set the fit. I am crazy projected and narrow for my size but I feel like a lot of shapes could wear this bra provided the cups aren't too narrow for what you need.

This is my first new bra since losing some weight. I'll probably head into my first bulk cycle this winter but until then it feels great to have that properly-tight band feeling of a new bra once again.

What a cool bra. I love half-cup bras, and this is one of the prettiest I have seen. I want one! Went to the website for the first time and loved the variety. I hope the devaluation of the pound due to Brexit will make these bras less expensive for us Americans.

Gore doesn't tack, otherwise a pretty good fit. A teensy bit too wide for my root (sigh), and the cups run small and shallow (I wear 30G in most other brands), and my projected boobs don't quite fill out the bottom of the cups because of the shallowness. However, none of this is bothering me when I wear the bra, so I just go with it.

The materials are comfortable, but honestly at £50/$80 a piece I expected more than that. Most of it is plain mesh/lace, except for a small part of the band (covered in more mesh) and the straps, which are silk. The colour was also ... a little bit of a disappointment, as it's not quite as orange in real life. It's beautiful, but there's a hint of coral in it, which is not a good colour on me. One thing I love about this bra is the width of the back tape; it's like a 3-hook clasp, but there are only two hooks (across four columns!). Really, for me, it's not the number of hooks that does it, it's the width of the back band. Props to Mimi Holliday for doing this right.

One day, when attempting to remedy the floating gore, I removed the underwires, and discovered that they are ridiculously flimsy. Yes, they're metal, but they're about 1 millimetre in width. I was planning to narrow the gore to get it to tack, but for Fun and Science, I replaced the wires with a pair from an old Curvy Kate bra (sturdy in comparison), tried the bra on, and by golly, the gore is right where it should be! So now I have two pairs of Mimi Holliday underwires that I don't know what to do with. Coat hooks? Christmas decorations? Does anyone want them?

    • It's very interesting that replacing the wires made the bra tack! How did you close up the underwire channel again so they stayed put? I understand this is the challenging part of switching out underwires.

      Excellent review!

    • 2

learningaboutbras Hey! The wires that were in the bra were so thin I'd be surprised if they could support the weight of half a grain of rice. My boobs are rather projected, so bras that are too shallow like to float somewhere very far from my torso. i'm also centre-heavy, so non-tacking gores are often an issue when the cups aren't deep enough in the right places. Replacing the underwires have completely changed the fit of a number of my bras - some like the aforementioned thread-thin wires, and some that were so firm and pokey that they were actually painful. It's also good for altering the width of a cup without damaging the underwires. Or if you have a problem with the wires being too tall or too low.

I cut a small hole on the inside of the wire channels, in the back towards the armpit. Once I had swapped out the wires, I took my old reliable sewing machine, a regular zig-zag stitch, and went over the opening a couple of times. I usually go forward, backward and then forward again, to make sure it's strong enough. I've done this on several bras, and no wires have popped so far. I could post some pictures, if it would help. (And maybe next time, I should type up a quick tutorial!)

I'm glad you like my review! I always try to be as thorough as possible when writing about bras.

    • 2

dagobra, it is exciting to think I could change out wires and keep the new ones in place. I don't have the fit challenges you have--projection and centre heaviness--but a lot of times there isn't enough coverage under my arms. I want the wires and the wings higher under my arms. I usually want the center gore lower.

I think a bra adventure with a tutorial and pictures if possible would be great. I can't be the only one intrigued by the idea. If anything gets me to learn to sew, it'll be bras. :)

  8. Angelique Jet Lace & Silk Satin Maxi Bra (AW12-282930LG)

Oh man, I am just a sucker for impractical bras. Just what I need, ANOTHER flimsy black lacy bra in my life. But there's something about Mimi Holliday bras that I can't resist. Usually Mimi bras are made from such nice materials that it feels like a luxury just slipping one on. Who needs support when you have silky lace?

The Angelique is your basic black lace bra. The 3-part cups are lace, with a light inner lining of sheer material that, I assume, is for some degree of support. The straps are a narrow half-inch, and wrapped in soft satin-y material. This is much better than ... some Mimis I've worn, where the straps are basically ribbons. There are two hooks, and for some reason, the rows have more space between them than usual, making it impossible to use an extender. The cups don't lift my boobs up as high as I'd like. The shape seems natural, whereas my usual goal is "round and uplifted". At least the shape doesn't veer into pointy territory. The cups are a decent width, same with the height of the gore. And no digging into my armpits, yay!

I'm between band sizes at 29 inches, so this band seemed rather snug. In fact, when I measured it, the stretched length was 30 inches, while it measured 22.3 inches unstretched. Does that make this a "true" 28? So if you're right at 29 or 30 inches, and don't like a snug fit, opt for a 30 band instead, especially since the weird placement of the hooks doesn't allow for a standard extender.

Anyway, I'm keeping the Angelique, because the material is very comfortable and the cups fit with no quadboob. My tits don't *always* need to look like they are on a platter, I suppose https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

It truly is a comfort bra. I find myself wearing it during heatwaves for casual walks in the park. The shape of bust this bra creates is basically my natural shape of breasts but gathered from the sides to the middle. It kind of accentuates the placement of nipples in thin t-shirts, so mind that if it bothers you https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":p" />

Fit-wise, it sometimes cuts in my bigger breasts and wrinkles on my smaller one.

The materials used are lightweight and good quality. I appreciate the lack of any bows/crystals hanging from the gore, though the swans IMO would look better if they were smaller in this size.

    My stats for reference:
28G.5, FOT, tall and narrow roots, center full, projected, average to high set.

    Look:
I love the design of this bra. It has little spades, hearts and clubs going up and down the cups of the bra and the front panel of the panties. The contrast of the black lace and see through parts is gorgeous on my pale skin. (This is one of the first times I'm happy to be a "vampire" lol). Panties are very full coverage and high-waisted, I'd call them french cut.

    Fit:
The gore is rather wide, so it would be a huge problem for me if it tacked. The upper line of the ... cup is super stretchy, and yet I still quad in both cups, I can still stretch the top of the cup more, so I'm a bit baffled by this. Maybe it's because the bra was made for a wider and slightly shallower shape? Anyway, this bra gives a somewhat pointy shape and runs slightly small in the band (and possibly the cups?), it stretches to 28" without warping wires and 29.5" full stretch (warping wires, as far as it would go, would definitely mess the bra up over time. I only did this measurement as the wires are pretty firm and I think they can take it.)

I have fairly even breasts, with wide and somewhat tall roots.

    ---

Aesthetically, of course, this bra is one of the cutest things I've ever seen.

First things first, I ordered from Bravissimo and the description said that the cups ran small, so to order one cup size up. I did this and ordered the 30E while I normally wear 28E/30DD. I do think it runs small because it fits me pretty well, however I would be curious to see how the 30DD fit on me, especially with the way the upper cup fits.

The fit is a bit strange; I don't quite have enough upper fullness to get a super great ... fit in the top of the cup, even though it fits "okay." I didn't realize until it arrived that there is a small piece of elastic along the top of the cup which I'm sure is to help the bra give a more fitted illusion for those it doesn't quite fit. It does help with that I think.

The shape the bra itself gives on me is kind of pointy. I never intended on getting this for an every day bra, but it is still something to consider.

Even though the 30 band stretched to ~31.5, it genuinely feels snug and firm (even as someone used to Cleo bands lol), so I may have overstreched it a bit in measuring. I definitely think your normal band measurement will be fine.

The underwires seem.... significantly softer than what I'm used to? The gore always seems at risk of floating/bending away from my body which is not something I ever experience in other bras.

My primary concern with this bra is snagging!!! There was already a frayed bit of lace on one of the cups that I trimmed off after removing it from the box, but I feel like some rough spots on my hands are catching slightly on the lace which makes me nervous for sure! I will try to be very careful and gentle with this set.

My first and last Mimi Holiday. Silk? A bit. Lace? Scratchy. I've been spoiled by other manufacturers.

If you've tried Heidi Klum silk bras, this MH bra is guaranteed to disappoint. There are a few square millimeters of silk. And, the silk is not located in the places that improve comfort.

The cups are wide and average in projection. Because of the cup width, this bra fits better than many others. The cups also fit shorter roots admirably. There is a thin piece of elastic across the top of the cup. Because it caused a bit of quadding on my short pair, run if you have tall roots. The ... quadding did not show under a shirt; tolerable for me.

Because the cups are shallow near the gore, the gore floated. This is often more comfortable to me than a tracking gore. Nevertheless, it instantly generated the discomfort I almost always feel in a wired bra.

Those who appreciate narrow bands and straps, this is your bra. The straps were not uncomfortably wide-set and should work for those with average+ shoulder width.

The super plunge seems like a typical gore to me. If you are searching for a low gore, this bra doesn't have it. Why would a manufacturer name a bra "super plunge" when in fact it is not? Misnomer.

The cup is lightly lined with black inside the cup and a bicolor fabric under the lace on the outside. The two fabrics under the lace is peculiar. The lower half is more ivory and the upper half pale orange. There is not enough color difference to warrant the change. It looks like they ran out of fabric and substituted something similar. Perhaps those less enthusiastic about color won't notice. I adore color, but this is a peculiar combination.

    Pretty. Scratchy.

Helpful review! I've been disappointed by Mimi Holliday plunge bras, too. For me, it was the gores not being low enough in 30F plunges. I think the silk on mine was on the outside of the cups, where, like on your Love Heart Super Plunge, it doesn't do much good in terms of comfort.

This is a story about how there is more to a bra that fits than just knowing the cup width and depth. In this case, the cup width and depth would seem to be almost perfect for me. It is very similar to other bras I own. However, the shape is awful on me. I like a bra that will lift and has a high apex. This apex is very low. Well below my nipples low. This causes an inverted seven shape (did I describe that phenomenon correctly?) and is very unflattering on myself. I'm guessing that this would look better on someone who is full on bottom, ... rather than my even shape.

The first time I tried this bra on, I immediately noticed that the gore was floating very far from my sternum. The wires in their natural shape are too weak to stay near my ribs. I measured the cup depth and knew that wasn't the issue. So I bent the wires. It fit much better, but because of the shape mismatch, I have to concede that there is nothing I can do to make this work.

The band has been altered with elastic added at the back. The band fastened on the last eyelet (there are four eyes, but only one hook) felt okay, but I noticed that the band was lower in the back than the front. The straps were already at their shortest length so these straps are too long and would need to be altered to be made shorter.

The bra lives up to its "comfort" name. It is very comfy and would be a good "lazing around the house" bra. The colours are attractive and the lace is pretty with cute bows at the gore and straps. I will be listing this bra so hopefully someone else can give this a good home.

This bra interests me and I would like to subscribe to its newsletter... in a different size, maybe.

Aesthetics: The print on the lower portion of the cups is beautiful and interesting. The pink color is is light and feminine.

Comfort: YES, all of the above. It's a Mimi Holliday so it is made of softness and unicorn pillows. The fronts of the straps are covered in silk for extra softness and the wires are very comfortable.

Fit: The cups are wide and a touch large, and the straps might not adjust short enough for those who have high-set boobs. I am set fairly low and still had to tighten the ... straps as far as they would go. This might also be partly because the cups are a little too big for me. The gore is nice and narrow though!

Coverage: Lots of it, which is nice. Good top coverage for those who have tall tissue. Generous sides give a nice secure feeling similar to the 60E - Comexim » Coco (381). Even the band is nice and wide- a double hook, and the hooks are set far apart.

Miscellaneous: Four sets of hooks! Man, I really wish the cups weren't so wide.

  16. Azure Allure Silk Satin & Lace Super Plunge Bra (AW12-200)

    30D

    Didn't fit

    Update:

DO NOT WASH THIS BRA IN THE MACHINE!! I usually throw all my bras in a laundry bag in the washer on cool water, and that was fine for all my bras, BUT NOT THIS ONE. This bra is very delicate, and will just completely lose all of its elasticity in the band.

    Original post:

First off, this is an absolutely gorgeous bra. It's a lovely turquoise silk with blue-purple lace over it, creating this lovely peacock sheen. It's also a very comfortable bra--no part of it rubs or itches. It seems to be very well made, and there's no loose threads or bad ... stitching or puckering.

My torso measurement is 28" or so, and I knew this when I ordered this bra in a 30D. It was on sale, though, so it was the 30D or nothing. What I wasn't expecting, though, was how stretchy the band is. I could stretch this band all the way out to 32". So even though this bra is just a few weeks old, I'm already wearing it on the closest hook. Speaking of hooks--there's only one hook per column, but there are 4 columns, unlike the normal 3. There's enough room for 2 hooks per column, though, so I'm not sure why they didn't do that, and I wish they would have. I'd never worn a bra with only one hook per column, and it doesn't feel very secure at all.

The straps are just straight up silk, which feels amazing. On the down side, they don't tighten very far. I have them as tight as they will go, and I wish I could tighten them a good inch more. Even though I'm 4'11", I've only ever had this problem with one other bra before, the 65D - Huit » Lilies & Poppies (8254C4D). The straps are also set a bit wide, but I'm thinking that the wideness problem would be solved by wearing my proper size, 28DD (or so).

I would describe my breasts as shallow with a wide base, and the cups are perfect for this. There's not very much projection, and there's an open top so definitely no quad boob.

Overall, I love this bra. It's beautiful and comfortable. I am definitely keeping it, though I am going to try altering the straps both shorter and narrower.

    28D

    Fits

I'm glad I finally got around to trying a Mimi Holliday bra from a sale on Haute Look. I have been meaning to try based on overall reviews that the cups in the 28D run shallow and small (and will thus fit my small 28C/D bust when most 28Ds are a little big).

The cups are definitely very low cut after scoop & swoop...nipples show just a little but with a quick nudge I can hide them just under the top edge. The volume is absolutely perfect! My breasts are fairly even in terms of fullness, maybe a little fuller on bottom and the volume of the cup works ... very well despite how short the cups are.

The downside to the low-cut cups is that the top edge of the cup, which is a pretty padded and thick edge, hits the apex of my breasts and is pretty noticeable under a smoother, high cut shirt. Actually, it's noticeable under TWO shirts I'm wearing right now. However, the overall shape the cup gives is great, lots of lift and roundness, minimal gapping when leaning shoulders forward. If only the fabric closer to the edge tapered a little more it would be a little more invisible under shirts. This bra is definitely useful for a very bulky & low cut "plunge" top.

Another downside is that the straps are VERY STRETCHY, so i have them on almost the tightest setting at the moment to fit me. Though, I am only 5'0" with a much shorter torso than most so I usually have to go with pretty short straps.

The bra is very comfortable, the top silk of the cups are very soft & silky, gore tacks well but doesn't dig in, no displacement of boobs after scoop & swoop. The band is a little on the stretchy side I feel for a 28, but I'm wearing it in the middle hook now. Could also be that there is only ONE hook per column instead of the traditional 2 hooks, just be aware!

  18. Daiquiri Super Plunge Bra (SS12-160)

This bra is really comfortable and cute for me. It seems I'm destined to be stuck to these super deep plunge half cups because of my shallow breast shape..

The quality seems very high in both materials and make. Straps are comfortable, light padding is nice and the satin & lace on the front of the cups is lovely.

Only problem I have is the top of the cups is sewn in such a way that it is slightly thicker and shows under a tee.

    Nipples barely covered.

Got it on sale and it is still a rather pricy bra.

Edit: After a month or so of owning this the band is stretching fast. Still comfortable and supportive but I've had to move to the next hook already.

  19. Macaroon Fully Padded Super Plunge (SS2013)

Here I have what I believe to be one of the last few @MimiHolliday bras in size 28:4 . Thanks to another user who pointed me towards the website selling a few. It was worth every penny. Most would probably feel that this bra may be too small, but it is perfect for me. The minimal coverage with nice lift and roundness, it is all I ever could have wanted.
While the band measured true to size, while being worn it felt very stretchy and a bit loose. Therefore I made the decision to wear it on the second hook out of four. For whatever reason ... mimi Holliday bras, well at least the super plunge, have only one hook instead of two...which I really do not like. Even on my lean back it cause indents, "rolls." The band is made of a standard power mesh with a fairly soft high quality elastic.
The straps are not 100% silk as is stated on Mimi Holliday descriptions every where. They are only half adjustable; the adjustable part is made of what I believe to be (perhaps fold over) elastic and the non-adjustable part is made of silk. They were very thin. Which is something that some people desire, while others do not like thin straps and prefer thicker more padded straps. I could see some one with a heavy bust not really liking these thin straps as they're likely to dig in. The silk is soft and smooth.
Thankfully the foam the cups were made of were lined in cotton with nice flat seams. I tire of bare foam cups against my skin and don't understand why all companies don't simply line the foam. Foam is not the nicest feeling stuff. There are stiff tulle bows placed where the straps attach to the cups and at the gore. They are sheer and appear to be about the same color as the eyelash lace that decorates the cups. It's really hard for me to define just exactly what color it is because of the underlying pale pink. I think it may be a pale beige/peach color. The lace extends above the cups to decorate the breast and also extends below the cups to decorate the rib. The only reason this bra doesn't disappear under clothes is because the lace is gathered at one point on the bottom of the cup and is then spread across the rest of the cup. Hopefully the picture will be clearer than my description. The cup is compromised of a two piece cut and sew foam with one horizontal seam. Normally this would be very shallow cup. But because of the way the cup is assembled to the cradle it comes out at very horizontal angle. It doesn't come out as an L , a ninety degree angle, but more like an 70/80 degree angle. This makes this bra have all the projection while still coaxing the breast up into a nice rounded shape. The top part of the cup simply holds the breast in without cutting in. I would definitely call this an open top cup.
The wires are pretty narrow and they touch at the top of the gore. About 4.3" at the top of the wires and 4" about a centimeter down. The gore does get wider towards the bottom of the gore, but it is not very tall. It's certainly not a gore I would typically attribute to a "super plunge," aka just a piece of fabric connecting the cups, but is more of an average gore height, IMO. The wires are softer like Comexims, but are not as flexible. So they're comfortable, stay put and don't flex around. This is where this bra definitely wins for me over the Cleo Maddie Moulded Bra I own. The wires come up high enough on the side to really hold my breast in shape, while following my breast root pretty nicely. I've yet to find a bra that doesn't sit on any tissue at all and this bra seems to do that pretty well. My Cleo bra has a taller cup height, but it allows my breast to escape out the the sides and doesn't hold me in place very well.
All in all I would have to say that this bra is my favorite so far. So far it has been the only bra that I thought would be the best and ended up being the best. But not just about this bra specifically, about all of thr older Mimi Holliday Super Plunge Bras (maybe the newer ones). Now I really just need to get my hands on a non-padded version. I have only been able to find in 28C .....but am very tempted to take the PLUNGE, just to see. You know...for bra science. If you're aware of any older Mimi Holliday bras in the 28D/DD range being sold anywhere or you would like to sell, PLEASE CONTACT ME! I fear nothing like these exist these days. This bra worked out so well for me! I am only center full without much inner/outer fullness and am not particularly FOT or FOB. I am a bit conical, narrow-ish boobs, with -on the narrow side- of average root width, about average projection and tall-ish roots with breasts that act like they have short roots. I also believe the bra could work for a wide range of women unless you have wide roots, very heavy outer fullness that requires dedicated side support, someone whom requires very tall wires and wings, or you are VERY shallow as the bra does require some projection (although I suppose you could buy a smaller cup size, but that could risk nipple show-age!). Just about the only other women I can think of that this bra won't work for that isn't preference related is women with unusually high set nipples. We all *generally* want our nipples IN the bra. If you are FOB you may want to go up a size (or two since many women may want to go up a size for better coverage) to better lift and contain your tissue.

    • I just came across your review, not sure if you're already aware but I've just checked the Mimi Holliday site (as I often do, definitely my favourite brand aesthetics wise) and they seem to be making 28Ds again! I saw only one but it's one of their most recent designs. Hopefully this means they'll make more, don't lose hope! And maybe email them to say how happy you are they do 28s again so they know how important it is!

  20. Blueberry Muffin Silk Chiffon Padded Balcony Bra (SS14-140)

This bra is so beautiful in person and has a very firm band for Mimi Holliday. After a couple years of regular wear it only stretches 29"!

It's a very comfortable bra and gives a natural but slightly rounded shape for me. The material is very luxurious but has held up well for regular use and hand washing. My only issue is the straps can only just tighten small enough for me since they aren't fully adjustable. So if you are high set you may want to keep that in mind. The cups are also very close on top, which is great for my FOB shape but won't work if you have tall roots of FOT.

Overall I would definitely recommended Mimi Holliday half cups for a comfy beautifully bra. I wish they were cheaper so I could have more!
