    Didn't fit

My shape: close set, center full, full on bottom, average/narrow width roots, tall shallow roots, soft tissue.

This bra is really cute, however it’s way too big on me (I think I received a mislabeled bra because when I compare the measurements entered here, the cup depth is much too large and I can fit my whole hand in the top part). I initially got this because the gore seemed low enough to maybe work, but it is too separate and sits on my breast tissue. The straps are pretty wide, a little bit wider and they would definitely be a problem.

If you add photos of you wearing the bra, "we" can help guide you to find bras that will suit you better ;)

If you're close set and center full, CK most likely won't work. They have wide gores (like most UK brands) and not much projection at the wire.

    • 1

Thank you AprilGoulding that’s very kind of you! I don’t think I have pics for this bra, but I do have for a Freya bra I tried this week that almost fit perfectly, just the gore and band were the problem. I will try to post those for a fit help. I am definitely still trying to figure out my shape, I may be way off, lol!

    • 1

If gores are a problem, I suggest going to Polish bras...Gorsenia, Ewa Michalak. You'll find narrow wires and space for center fullness.
For reference, IF a UK bra were to ever fit me, I'd be 30F/FF. Which is the sister size to 32E.
In Gorsenia and EM I wear 65G.

Princess is a hard bra to fit, from what I understand. AprilGoulding i tend to disagree. I am center full and close set and the Ellace fits me well (when I have the right size...mine is too small now). It is dependent upon the style, I think. Some are wide and shallow and others are narrow and projected.

    • AprilGoulding Thank you. Yes, I’ve been thinking about that option! I think some polish bras may work well, just daunting to have to order. I’m thinking of ordering from Magda since she helps so many users here. I finally got the courage to post a bra fit request here: http://bra.pe/T7v/

    • Calluna I like the look of the Ellace too. It's actually on my list to try, thank you for reminding me. From what I saw here on batabase though, the gore comes up very high, but maybe it could still work! Honestly, I'll try pretty much anything if I can get it and return it since I'm trying to figure out my shape still. I posted a bra fit request here (finally got the courage!): http://bra.pe/T7v/ This is wearing a Freya bra, I deleted the pics from me trying on this bra since it was so big. I realize now that maybe I should have kept them to compare.

A higher gore can actually be better than a lower one for close set breasts IF it is narrow enough.

    • 1

My Ellace gore was shorter than my Marcie gore and I think both are the same width at the top. Have you also considered reverse scooping to get any trapped tissue back into the cup instead of under the wire? I know that with my Marcie, I have a tiny bit of wires sitting on tissue but it’s not a huge fit issue for me as it does not hurt.

    • 1

Calluna Thank you for suggesting reverse scooping! I didn’t even think of trying that. I will try doing that with some of the new bras I ordered.

    Fits

The fit on this one is pretty good for me. The band is snug without being too tight. The gore tacks comfortably, the wires follow my inframammary fold, and the cup size/shape works fairly well for me. The only real issue I have is that the cup comes up a little high (cuts into my tail of spence) and the straps are set a little too wide for me. I also get a little bit of wrinkling along the top of the vertical cup seam, but it isn't bad. If I'm being really picky, the wires may be a little too narrow at the base.

Ultimately, I'm not keeping this because I didn't like the material. The fabric is somewhat irritating to me for some reason. I also don't like the textured nature of the fabric. While it didn't seem to show under my shirt in the pictures, it does show in certain light and I expect the flower trim to show as I move.

Pretty bra. Staps fit for narrower shoulders, but cups are designed for someone with slightly wider set breasts than me - as well as the cup being a tad too small.Comfortable enough to wear regardless.

  4. I have always loved CK Princess despite the cons outweighing the pros. As the cup sizes up, it hasn't scaled well for my shape. It tends to be too shallow at the wire. If I size up to get enough projection, then it gapes horribly at the top edge of the cup. I usually settle for the gaping since it's much better than having the wire stabbing my sternum. The wires are ridiculously wide, circling almost to my back. And the gore is wide. After trying Polish bras, this gore feels almost crazy wide. But the pros! I love the shape it gives, round and a little minimized. It's a very feminine, sexy bra. It comes in a lot of fun, flashy colors. This doesn't work under a lot of shirts because the lace edge puckers a bit and the fabric's raised dots show through, but it will always be a love for me.

Once more, not the right bra for me. The band is on the loose side of comfortable, the gore doesn't tack and the top of the cups wrinkle quite a bit. Also, most of the cup is made of see-through fabric, which is not something I like. I will be returning this bra.

I actually really love the cut and shape of this bra. The gore is just right for me and doesn't dig. The cups are soft and the design is beautiful. I love the little suede like dots on the fabric. Some unlined CK bras give me a weird pointy upside down 7 shape. This one does not.

Beautiful, soft and sheer. Very pretty in the white, which is what I have. The little dots have a velvety texture to them.
I am FOT with a lot of center projection and also wide set. The cups of this bra are just a tiny bit too wide, but given my problem of finding wires that don't extend out into my armpits, I'll deal with it. Without that width, I'd probably need extra depth. It tacks well for me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

    • Have you looked into Ewa Michalak bras? The wires are narrow, cups more projected, and very augmented friendly, this all coming from a fellow augmented gal who has a ton of Ewa bras. :-)

    • MamaPagan yes! I've just "ordered" an EM from a fellow user to try. Fingers crossed. If all else fails, I'll have a size reference. Looking into Comexim also :)

    • Comexim is nice but less consistent/ reliable than Ewa in my experience. Comexim will have less depth/immediate projection and more tack issues as well. With their softer wires I never got a tack, as in 2+ fingers off the gore was normal with them. Still comfortable but not ideal.

    • MamaPagan thanks!!! Very useful. I appreciate that.
I bought an EM plunge, but I'm most interested in an S fic some va va voom ;) how do you find her sizing?

    • Ewa calculator:
      https://www.ewa-michalak.pl/Size-Calculator-chelp-eng-10.html

Go with actual measurements in cm and don't round up. Make sure your underbust measurement is BTT with no air in your lungs. I find the chart that's down the page from the calculator to be more accurate, but either way you will want to size up a cup or two though due to the implants.

Typically you'd size up for the S and PL styles over the unpadded versions, and most likely you'd want to size down in the CHP. That one will give you more pop of all the styles in my opinion. For a wonderful unpadded day to day bra that is comfortable, go with the BM or SF. Their top of cup stretch lace is very boob friendly!

    • Wow! Ok. With a 30" btt and 70.5" full bust I'd need a 75E. A lot different from 30F.

      THANK YOU

    • With the current Ewa band stretchiness, I'd say you would go with a 70 band max, but could most likely get away with a 65 band. The bands are pretty comparable to UKs (ie 28=60, 30=65, etc) nowadays. I find the cups to be comparable as well so if you wear a 30F UK then it would be safe to try a 65FF in the S and PL honestly. As a starting point at least, and adjust up or down depending on the oomph and coverage you want, or how prone you are to quadding. :-)

    • Here's a few comparison links for the styles:
      PL vs S style:

      CHP vs S style

Super cute bra with a lovely blue color! The fabric is semi-sheer with little polka dots all over the cups, and there's a pink thin satin ribbon laced along the top edge of the cups.
Unfortunately, this is quite out of my size range, so I can't comment on the fit. Curvy Kate bras tend to have wide wires, and this one is no exception.

This bra like many Curvy Kates is more on the shallow side in terms of cup depth but is very beautiful and comfortable.

    • Is this, perhaps, CK6001? It looks like the balcony rather than the plunge. If you are looking for a narrow-ish deep cup, try Princess in the Flamingo colorway. It is remarkably different, dimensionally. Here are measurements and a review for the 32G: http://bra.pe/XYek/

    Didn't fit

The Great Amazon Prime Wardrobe Try-On, Pt 2!
My shape: FOB, narrow roots/shoulders, soft tissue, 32G (though I'm thinking maybe more 30G or 30GG since a lot of these 32 bands are too stretchy for me!)

Fit: Curvy Kate was one of the first bras I tried in my bra fitting journey, and it wasn't long before I realized the wires were too wide for me. I figured, what the heck? I'll try one again, since it's been a couple years. Yeah, they are still too wide. The wires feel like they go halfway across my back; there's a lot of empty space on the sides of the cup. The ... straps are REALLY wide-set, too, so much so that no strap surgery could help. The fabric and straps are pretty much directly in my armpits.
I ordered a 30GG, but the cups feel either too shallow or a cup size smaller than usual, because I have a lot of spillage. It feels more like a 30G to me, so keep that in mind if you are looking at trying this bra.

Appearance: This bra is seriously adorable. I got the lemon yellow one, which is a really pretty color. There are soft polka dots on the cups, and the top edge has this feminine lace trim with a little white ribbon all along it. It's a sort of "little girlish."
Also, there is no lining on the inside of the cups, so it is very see though. Darker nipples will definitely show through.

Overall, Curvy Kate's just aren't the right shape for me. They have such cute styles! It's a shame I don't fit into any of them. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
