    Didn't fit

I think this is one of the most beautiful bras I've ever seen! I love the little velvet dots. You truly feel like a princess when wearing this gorgeous bra! Curvy Kate Princess seemed like the best fit bra ever when I got it, but I've lost weight, so it's not such a good match anymore.

There is wrinkling on the upper part of the cups. But I'm worried if the cups would fully enclose my boobs on the sides, if I would go down a cup size. I should go down a band size too, because the band is a little loose to me.

    Pros:

    - Amazing look, beautiful!
    - Wires ... are wide enough

    Cons:

    - Band is loose
    - Wrinkling on tops of the cups
    - The lace on the top of the cup is a little itchy
    - Straps are not fully adjustable, only in the back

So, I wonder if Curvy Kate Princess is the best choice for me after all. I wish it was, because it's so pretty. I would definitely need a smaller cup and band size, but I'm worried the wires would be too narrow then, or too low on the sides.

When I lose weight, my boobs seem to only lose volume on the top of my breasts. But my breasts still continue almost to my armpits, nothing changes there. So I still need just as wide underwires as before, I'm just even less likely to fill the top of the cup. Which makes it difficult to go down in cup sizes, and finding bras is even harder than before.

    Fits

This is my second white Curvy Kate Princess in 30D. Both bras fit and measure pretty consistently, but this bra is slightly deeper in the cups than the first one I bought.

So far, it seems that the white ones are a bit more consistent in fit than the black, based on my experience.

    ---------------------------

I've tried the Curvy Kate Princess Balcony Bra now four times, in sizes 28DD and 30D when I was a 28DD size, and now in 30D and 30DD at a 28E/30DD size. I couldn't figure out before why this bra never fit me in the past, but now I realize that the cups run ... one size deep, while the band can run a little snug. In the 30D size, it fits me very similarly to a 28E or 30DD Cleo Marcie, giving a nice and lifted rounded shape, but with shorter wings and shorter wires at the outer cup. The 30DD is far too big for me. Thus, if Marcie works for you, I would recommend this bra but going one size down, and potentially sizing up in band if you are between two band sizes.

Like Marcie, the cups are made from very soft mesh with polka dots, although the dots on the CK bra are flocked instead of embroidered. The lining of the cup is lightweight soft tricot that feels similar to mesh but is a bit more supportive. The upper cup shape is slightly more projected and closed off than Marcie, and the floral lace upper edge is rather thick and much less forgiving than Marcie's embroidered mesh upper cups. Due to the more projected, slightly shelf-like shape of the upper cup, the CK Princess requires a little more upper fullness than Marcie. When worn unlined, this is most apparent on me as the difference between the two fits, as Marcie sits on me perfectly.

The band on this style measures pretty TTS, but since it is so narrow, the powermesh wings don't feel quite as firm as I'd like. The elastic at the cradle is also a bit thinner and less sturdy than on Marcie. The wires, though short on the sides, are quite firm. I found originally that in the 28DD, the wires dug painfully into my ribcage, but it's possible that the band on that bra ran exceptionally small, as the band on the 30D and 30DD measured about 1"/2.5 cm different. Since the wires don't have much flexibility, I'd recommend going with the larger band size if you are between sizes.

The only concern I have about this bra is that the upper cup trim is quite ornate and thick, and it may be visible under clothing. The upper cup lace is a daisy chain lace design with a ribbon insert, which also doesn't always lay perfectly flat. The same lace extends to the front of the strap, while the rest of the strap is plain satin scalloped elastic. Simple skinny ribbon bows decorate the gore and strap attachments. I really didn't like the appearance of the bra in the Flamingo Pink, but I think it looks quite nice in both basic Black and White. Despite its shortfalls, it makes a lovely lightweight summer bra, and I found this looks nice alone or with foam lining pads.

    Didn't fit

The material lining the cup is soft but the top lace is a bit scratchy.
Very cute, but not a good fit for me.
The gore is narrow, but still digs in for me as it is high.
I could not fill out the top and the bottom wrinkled on my smaller breast.
Wires are pretty narrow, but weren't quite narrow enough.

    Fits

After reordering 4 of these in Black, 30D, I have found 2 that fit consistently, and 2 that were totally off-spec and janky. This is the bra with the pink tag, which fits similarly to the White and Black bras I'm keeping, but the band measures a little longer, the cups a little narrower and shorter, and the shape of the band is less naturally contoured than the other two bras.

    Didn't fit

Curvy Kate Princess is weirdly inconsistent. I love the White 30D I ordered, but I wanted a Black one as well. The first Black 30D was way too deep in the upper cup and didn't fit like the White did.

I ordered another Black in 30D from a different seller on Amazon, hoping that the first one just came from a bad batch. This one is better, but still has the same problem of the upper cup being too loose, though the ribbon trim is normal on this one and isn't weirdly long in the cup Furthermore, the band on this one measures about the same, but the cups just don't feel very secure. The bra moves around when I move.

I am ordering two more to see, but based on my experience with the 28DD Black a few months ago, perhaps this color just runs deeper than the White, and it might not be for me.

Oh Curvy Kate . . . why are these Princess bras plagued with so much inconsistency? This is my 5th order of the CK Princess and the third in this size. While the White I recently ordered in 30D fit me well, this Black colorway is not right. Thus, be cautious when ordering this style, and try to order another one to compare if you are having fit issues that aren't due to incorrect sizing.

In this case, I am chalking it all up to manufacturing issues. First, the straps on this bra are weirdly short when compared to the others in the range. ... I have them mostly extended in order to get to the same strap length as on my White bra.

Second, the cup shape and measurements are inconsistent. I remember when I got the 28DD last year that I felt it measured extremely deep in the cup, and now I think this bra is suffering from the same problem. While the actual center cup measurement is similar, the upper cup on this bra is cut too full. The upper cut sits flush against my skin on the White, but it doesn't on the Black. Furthermore, the ribbon trim is too loose on this bra. Overall, it just looks sloppy, though it does look better with foam inserts.

I am reordering this from a different seller on Amazon and hoping I get one from a normal batch!

My shape: Projected, average width roots, short roots, slightly bottom full, even horizontal fullness.

This bra was not to my taste. It is very pretty and did fit but was not comfortable. The lace on the straps was itchy and chaffed on my tail of spence. The material is mesh and is very stiff, rough, and uncomfortable. Because of my short roots I also had some wrinkling near the straps. The biggest issue I had with this bra though was the lace along the edge of the cuff. It is very textured, the flowers in the lace bend out from the cup, and the ribbon woven through bubbles up. Over all the material is the real downfall of this bra. If you were to get it it would only work under tops with texture or sweaters.
