This is probably the best bra I've owned. The only thing I don't like is that the straps are a set a bit far apart so they aren't hidden easily under some tops.

Fantastic bra! Padding is light and flexible; lace is non-irritating, shape is round and uplifted. The color is a bit different from what I expected: the promo photos seemed to show a neon yellow with slight green tinge; however, in person the background color is closer to chartreuse. The straps and lace are somewhere between salmon and watermelon. The cup seams lie very flat and are discreet.

One question though: why, oh why, do Panache/Cleo stubbornly continue to skimp on their straps?? Reviews on here are loaded with complaints about the straps. On practically every Panache/Cleo bra I have had, the ... straps have to be let out all the way. On this bra, the straps adjust barely long enough to even be wearable, and I am only 5' 2"! (Note: Straps were unwearable as is -- see update below.)

Otherwise, the fit of this bra is fantastic -- band and cups are both perfect. This is quite possibly the best-fitting bra I've ever worn and definitely in the top 2 or 3.

Darcy is a variant of the "wildly popular" Cleo Juna (6461) and I will buy Juna and its clones again.

    *** UPDATE ***
I ended up having to lengthen the straps on this bra by attaching an additional piece of strapping at the back. I happened to have an old unwearable VS bra with pink straps that matched, so I used pieces of them. So, now my Cleo Darcy has back straps with VS's logo all over them!

    I have other Juna reviews here: 30DD - Cleo » Juna (6461) and here: 28DD - Cleo » Juna Balconnet Bra (6461) .

Basically the perfect bra -- almost. Fits comfortably, looks great, has just enough padding (about 1/8"/0.3cm) , and I love the lace detail so that it's not completely boring beige. The band is tight enough but not too tight or scratchy. The straps and cup seams are even comfortable on this bra, and I like the cotton-ish cup lining as well. The one thing -- and it's a very minor thing! -- that sometimes bugs me is the spot where the vertical cup seam meets the lace seam. There is a little "dot" there where the seams all meet that is visible under ... thin or tight tees. It can be a little awkward looking is all.

This bra is pretty much what I would call perfect and I will definitely order more, in fact I already also have the flamingo print 28DD - Cleo » Darcy Padded Balconette (6821) , which is a Juna clone. (Interesting side note: the Darcy doesn't have the 2 little "dots" that show under shirts. The Darcy also fits ever so slightly tighter in the cups, band, and straps.)

So the first time I had tried this on in a shop I fell in love with the Juna! Really liked the half cup pattern and how my boobs looked in it.

Remember that Panache bras tend to run at least one or even two sizes smaller than freya brands, so sizing up from freya in your usual band size is necessary. I wear 28d in freya but 28dd/e in panache. The cleo maddie however does not need sizing up as they tend to run large.

The wires lay flat against my sternum but not the Central gore. I quad boob slightly in the left cup (shown in picture) but okay in the right cup. The lace trims don't lie flat against my skin but this is not a problem. In terms of appearance it definitely gives a good uplift although the vertical seems are just slightly see-through under tops.

Very comfortable to wear - I can definitely see this as an everyday bra! In terms of quality - panache and freya are still superior to the cleo range...!

    • Did you try a 28E for comparison?
Juna runs small in the cup and the quadboob situation looks quite notable, way more than would be tolerable in a well-fitting bra.

This bra is more comfortable than the Cleo Juna, but is still the wrong shape for me. First off, it runs half a cup volume too small. Second, the bra is designed for someone with horizontally oriented breasts and mine are vertically oriented. Third, while the straps were long enough for me, I had to set them at the loosest setting. This makes me question how it would fit on someone who is taller than me or has a longer torso. I am short and have an average length torso for my height. I don't like the cobalt color of the bra.

Alright, perhaps single vertically seamed bras aren't entirely a lost cause on me. I suppose they just need wearing in, so long as they're the right depth.

I bought this well used, not too stretched out. This fit me much better than the brand new 30D Juna, and the flattened seam meant that there wasn't extra room along the seam.

It's not a perfect fit on me. It's a little too closed on top for me. The lace wrinkles, but only in the bottom half of the lace. The top half lies flat. It's no quadboob, but my roots are clearly a bit too tall for the cups.

The ... width is still good, the straps are still good, and the band has stretched enough that I'm wearing this on the second hooks straight off. The gore initially put pressure on my sternum that wasn't uncomfortable but very noticeable. Fortunately, the wires are flexible enough that I could bend the wires away while wearing the bra. I've found that occasionally I need to rebend the gore outwards, no more than once a day, but it's not a problem.

Honestly, this bra is so comfortable, I'll probably keep buying it going forward, even if the cups aren't perfect for me. It fits well enough otherwise.

This bra is adorable, and it's fit is "close enough" for me. I do get "quad boobs" and I dislike the short sides, but I'd put up with a lot more just for the flamingoes. What a cheerful summer bra!

This was one of the first bras I got after getting measured a 28DD (which after self assessment I have gone down to a 28D). It is so adorable it just didn't fit me. I love the fun print. The padding is about 1/4" thick. Straps have felt like texture on the side that sits on your skin so it's not itchy and the fabric overall is very comfy. Straps are also fully adjustable. The cups give a rounded shape. Band feels tighter than other brands' 28", as per usual with the Cleo line it seems. I find that the color looks a little yellowish green in person - like a highlighter. But it is still super cute.

I tried this on in my calculated size 28DD and (as I imagined) the cups were too big. My boobs are shallow with a wide root so that may be why. The cups were flat in some positions but as soon as I bring my arms together in front of me the gapping would appear. Otherwise the bra itself is very pretty. It's not very good for everyday wear as the lace shows up bumpy under thinner/jersey fabrics and my nipples still poke out. I found the band to be slightly tight while wearing it for 20 minutes so I would imagine it would be uncomfortable after a whole day of wear. As the bra is made of lace, it is slightly itchy especially around the center gore. The center gore may also be slightly wide for me. The straps are fully adjustable which is always great!

    • Cleo bands are known to run tight; have you considered buying bra band extenders to wear with them while they break in?

And, the only position of fit that really matters is standing/sitting normally, upright, etc. Gapping is bound to happen in other positions, but the one that matters most is the one you will be in 98% of the day!

    • tiggaren Oh it's good to know that some gapping is allowed. Although in this case just raising my arm seem to have caused gapping. I'll keep band extenders in mind in the future! :)

    • 1

Molded bras, especially, will gap when you reach forward or up. Gapping is definitely allowed, as long as it's not when you're standing or sitting upright. Don't have letterphobia. Or letter shock. Or whatever you want to call it. A DD may sound huge or unreasonable to you, but it's not I promise. It's just a letter. Pictures would really help us help you :)

    • lcl0706 Are you unable to see the pictures on the left of my review? It's showing up for me. :\ If you can hopefully you'll be able to access if the gapping is acceptable or not. Thank you for your help!

    • Oooh! I see them now. My bad. Yes it does look a little big. What about trying it in a 28D?

    • 1

      lcl0706 Yeah I think the next sizes I'll try are 28D and 30C. :)

    • 1

Are you making sure to scoop and swoop thoroughly? I swim in my bras before I pull all the tissue into my bra.
Also, I think this bra might be wrong for you at any size. Your review makes it sounds like an orange in a glass effect, where the cups are too projected for you in any size you try.
I would personally skip the other sizes and try shallower bras.

    • animated Right now the issue seems to be that unless I have perfect posture (shoulders behind my ears, arms at my sides, upright) the bra will gap here and there. I'm not sure how normal that is but admittedly the one bra I have that never gaps is a 30A and after scooping and tucking I will have a slight quadraboob effect.

    • It's mostly about your comfort, but a little gaping is okay. It sounds like this bra is uncomfortable for you though, so I think a different size and/or a different bra would be better. Don't write off 28DDs yet though!

    • 1

Well, I don't swim in my bras before s&s, so there's that. I might have a little extra space, but usually not much. At first, s&s'ing helped me to realize that I need wider wires though. I didn't realize how wide my roots were until I went to grab all my tissue.

Like I said, I do think this particular bra does not fit you, whether it be too big in the cup or too projected for you. If your heart's set on trying it again, I'd go for a 28D. I wouldn't bother with a 30C, just because I'm all about wearing the tightest band you can comfortably wear without being in pain. The band is the last thing I compromise on if I'm looking for the right fit in a bra, even if it means trying sizes I never could have dreamed of (28G anyone?). I will go up in the band if there's solid evidence the bra in question runs tight in the band.

    • 2

animated lcl0706 Thank you both for all your insight and help! I guess it's just back to the drawing board. Geez finding the right bra really is turning out to be a treasure hunt adventure. :\

The wires are the perfect width. and the band is quite firm, perhaps overly so. The gore ever so slightly doesn't tack, but the width is exactly right for me. However, the top edge of the bra cuts in along my larger breast, and maybe along the smaller as well. I am fairly even, so I can't tell if this is a shape or size issue. Also, I have a hard time keeping my nipples under the seams, and the bra gives me a slightly downward-pointed shape under clothes. I realized that this is because the bra's apex is lower than my natural apex, which points to the bra being too small.

I am going to keep monitoring the fit throughout my cycle, as well as try a more open Cleo in a similar size.

This is my first bra that is my proper size (and not a 34A I'm trying to squish myself into). I think the band is a little stretchier than I would prefer, even on the tightest hook. I love the wide wires, as I have a wide base. I can tell this bra won't give me a boob-ache like my old bras. I can actually get this bra's straps and bands tight enough to support my boobs without it riding up or digging into my tissue.

Pros: Gore tacks and does not dig into my sternum. Wire doesn't dig into armpit.

The only con is that there is a strange little uncomfortable stitching right where the left band attaches to the cup. It's not happening on my right boob, so maybe it's due to my left/right being different sizes.

Edit - after months and months of wear, I can confirm that the itching was temporary and went away within the first few washes.

A cute bra, I got it pink this time. The band is sturdy and might feel too tight on the loosest hook with the first couple of wears. After that it'll become more loose, I'm currently wearing it on the second hook. It might become too loose for me in the future as I actually may need a 26 band. I've bent the wires at the gore as they stabbed me at the sternum, now it sits flush and feels comfortable.

The cups fit my shallow shape pretty well and give them a more rounded shape. I have tall roots and my breasts start near my collarbone so the cups cut in a little, but it's not a huge issue. The straps unfortunately are too wide for me. I can't wear this bra under a thin shirt as the nipples would show if I'm cold.

This is a very nice bra, the fabric feels luxurious and of good quality. I am not fond of the lace because it is not positioned very well in relation to the cup. It doesn't affect the look of the bra under clothes. The wires poked me very badly, it was painful to wear the bra for even just 5 minutes, but it was the wrong size. I'm sure if you were the correct size it would be fine. I just need wider cups.
All in all, I recommend this bra, just make sure to get the correct size.

It felt too tight the first time I wore it, but after wearing it the second day, it was comfortably snug. It left red marks, but was not painful. The cups want a little bit more top fullness than I have, but otherwise this is one of the best fitting new size bras I own. The wires are a wee bit narrow, but maybe that's just because I'm not used to wearing this size of bra. I don't think it was breast tissue it was pressure against, but just my side in general. Again, not painful, just something I noticed. I felt it made me look small in the chestal area but I'm used to push up and molded giving me porn star cleavage so what do I know!
I think I could benefit from going a band or cup size up.
The colors are brighter irl than they are in the stock photos, and I love it. The colorway makes me feel like it's summer all over again.

This surprisingly fit. I am shallow, and neither FOT nor FOB. The Cleo George is a Marcie clone and I expected it to be more projected than it was. This is a good bra if you are sorta shallow or have average projection and are neither FOT nor FOB. The band ran true to size.

It's entirely unsurprising to me that it fits. Marcie is a good bra for shallow shapes in this size range. There's some evidence that shallow overrides evenness/FOT/FOB and if George is the same then that's why it fits.
