Success!

So, I went shopping yesterday with my best friend. Technically the occasion for our trip was to pick up a teapot for me (a belated b-day gift). However, on our way there, we passed by a lingerie store having a sale. So, we decided to pop in and have a peek. My friend asks if I think they have my size, and the perceptive sales lady asks, "Which size?" so I said 28FF/28G. depending on the bra, and to my shock, she says. "Those are over in the back there, the Freya bras, only the molded ones, though." I mean, I realize that 28 bands do exist (Obviously, since I own some), but this is a first time I've walked into a lingerie store and not been told that either they don't carry them, or that they'd have to be special ordered. (For comparison, both of these places carried up to at least a UK H cup, and did stock [at least a few] 30 bands, so it's not like I'm comparing it to VS, or something like that) I tried on the Freya Deco Honey Moulded Plunge Bra (1254) in Iris, size 28FF, the Freya Deco Moulded Plunge Bra (4234) in Lagoon, size 28G (since the 30FF at another store had fit fairly well), and another, which I believe was another Deco in a gorgeous raspberry colour with zebra print bows on the gore, and where the straps meet the cup. I ended up buying the Deco Honey, because it was the best fit, so that one will get a fully completed chart, and I can give partial info on the others. I only got the one because, even on sale, it was more than twice what I normally spend on bras. But, as a special occasion, and given how nice it was to actually try on 28 bands in store before making a decision, I got it. I only wish they had a bigger selection to choose from, but who knows...maybe one day ^_^

  • Wow, that is definitely encouraging. I contacted my only local lingerie store (besides VS, which I don't count) a couple years ago, and would you believe it ... even though they carried Freya and Fantasie, they only carried them in band size 32 and up!!! Some people just do not get it.
