wooop!
so my Ewa Michalak order, my Comexim order and my panache order that were all placed with weeks between all arrived today, strange but happy!
I will post pictures and measurements and all soon, I will also do fit requests on the two I am keeping to make sure they really do fit well. But right now I just wanted to ... write and tell you a little bit about them.
So I ordered the slowianki PL from Ewa in size 55FF, I was so worried that the band would indeed be too tight and the cups too big but I was so relieved to find the band wonderfully snug on the loosest hook!! (this has never ever ever happened to me before) and it seems like the gore wont be an issue either! (they usually hurt my bony chest) When I swoop and scoop I fill out the cups no problem, and it seems the tissues will actually stay there now since the band is tight enough *angelic choir* I have just a tiny bit of gaping right next to the gore, but my breast are set really far apart so that always happens to me. One drawback to this bra is that the straps don't adjust far enough for me, I will have to shorten them, but that's not a biggie. Next time I order from Ewa I will see if they will make the straps shorter for me.
Now to my Comexim order, I ordered the Joy Longline in 55H.. ladies it is even more gorgeous in real life, the most beautiful bra I have ever owned. Now here the band is a whole different story, compared to the Ewa Michalak bra this band feels at least one size larger.. a real bummer.. but I still think it's good enough to keep. It's super stretchy but the material is soooo wonderful! The cup size was good I think, I didn't quite get the oompf I expected but that might be due to the band.
I also ordered a sports bra from Panache, unfortunately the cups in the 28 F were too large so I'm exchanging it for a 28 E.
But all in all I'm super excited!

YESSSSS. Finally, a strapless swim top that doesn't threaten to pop over or under my boobs when I move! The cups are SUPER stiff and moulded with huge pushup pillows in them. I didn't expect the pillows at all actually, since I ordered the top off of ebay and the bottom off Gossard's website, since the top ... was no longer on there in Magenta. The padding helps to make the cup its actual size, if that makes sense. Essentially, if they left the cup size alone and just removed the padding, the cup would be too big for the size it's supposed to be.
Even though it has underwires, its way more comfy than any other bra I own. I'm not sure if thats owing to the way that the gore is made (v short with basically only the bottom part of 'traditional' gores that we're used to seeing.) On the wings and the band, there are silicone strips at the top and bottom to keep the band up, and the band itself is pretty tall, which is nice. It sits a teeny bit longer than a traditional underwired bra, but again you can see in all the stock photos and such that it's supposed to fit this way. The fabric is nice and plush, which is also helpful. Overall, its made of very thick materials and of sturdy construction, which is why I think its so comfy and supportive. Oh, and the band is small for a 30, so all my fellow 28-ers, this would definitely be okay for you
The cups themselves naturally give some pretty major cleavage (you can see this in the stock photos if you google 'Gossard Sienna Bandeau' and a nice round shape, only *hinting* at pointy-ness at the apex of the cup.
When I tried it on, I jumped up and down and mimed 'swimming arms' and it didn't budge!! Overall I'm really impressed and happy with this top (esp. since I got the matching bottoms on major sale ). Pics coming soon and I'll update after I take it for a spin in the water!
* I keep forgetting things. This top comes with a removable, thin halter strap and has gold accents

Jj is there any way for me to list this bra? I have the measurements in, but the system doesn't think I do! :o Thanks :)
Ah, it looks like this bra was requiring bust perimeter when it didn't need to. Try hitting "save" again on your measurements screen and see if it's good.
Bra is finished, need to dye it. Figured I'd break up the report on it into a few posts, and just finished the first one. I'll try to get the meaty posts with actual bra pics/sewing up this week sometime.
Make sure to let me know if I miss anything you want to know or if anything is unclear! ... class="smiley" src="https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
*disclaimer: I have a blog, I am not a blogger. I get too wrapped up in my projects to worry about writing about them, but I'm trying to do better for the bra project at least.

There's actually a section here where you can contribute boob pics to go in the boob pic gallery, but I'm not sure how much ppl have been using it.
the best way to get help, I think, is to post a 'fit request' - take pictures in a bra that doesnt fit and post it so we can talk about what that bad fit tells us about what you need. Maybe a few bras that do and dont fit, idk.
Because honestly how you fit in a bra is really what matters . . . according to some rule, I'm fob, but i only fit in bras that are good for fot, so . . whatever. But in some of my fit requests, people were able to point out where a bra was too wide or too shallow or not open enough, and that helped point me in the right direction.
@dbmamaz I'll keep trying that then.
And thanks for letting me know about the picture section, I will look into that instead. :)

I recently had the great luck of winning a Parfait Charlotte set in a Valentines giveaway. Unfortunately my usual 30D seems to be creating a bit of quadboob and I'm not sure if a 30DD would be too big. Or if I can even exchange it.
I took some fit pictures but I forgot to actually upload them onto my computer so they're still on my friend's camera. Which is at their house.
This post is mostly for whining purposes. I'll try to post a fit check tomorrow.

I think I've seen that it runs small and shallow both
I knew it was a bit shallow but it sounded like recent batches were more true to size so I went with the 30D after a lot of waffling. I probably should have gotten the 30DD. I was worried it would be big though. I think a lot of it comes from it being a bit closed on top for me.

Girlfriend at work showed me this. Tell me it's a joke.
The Japanese really think of everything. A company called Soft on Demand has created the BraFile. The BraFile is simple guide that will let you estimate the size of a girl's breast size from a dist...

haha, well we know it's doing many things wrong :P (no band size? that E cup sample is very wrong)
There are a few phone apps where you feed it a picture of a girl, scale her head, plot her shoulders and waist, and bust edges so it will tell you a (very inaccurate) bra size.
This is just a manual version of that.
Let them have it, we know better ;)
I say that girl has been photo-shopped! The background looks wonky around her boob-region.

Does anyone have a 28FF or G (or maybe even a tight 30F) moulded light nude/beige bra that they would like to swap? I have a small handful of bras that don't fit me that I'd like to pass on, and a number of colourful ones that fit, but no plain, can-wear-under-white-shirt type of bras. I've been scouring the listings and haven't seen anything... help! PS I need something with pretty immediate projection; my boobs just push down anything shallow at the bottom
Thanks!!

What about the new nude Cleo Marcie?
Marice is not molded obviously. but i thought molded bras generally had poor projection

I just found out a couple of weeks ago that I was a 32LL. I came in here to help me find bras that fit and are cute. I saw Ewa that advertise in bras in that site. I just hope they fit right because from experiences when I find a bra that I think is a perfect fit, they fit small or the band don't fit.....

have you measured the cup depths of your best fitting bras and compared to the cup depths of what you want to buy? different brands cups are different sizes.
I have ad-block so I've never seen any ads here .. . are there ads here?
Do you mean that I compare different bra manufacturers with the size that I supposed to be? I have and it all comes back to the problem that I have now.
I am going to a boutique shop this week that custom makes bras. I was hoping that I could find something without doing that.

So for the last month and a half I've been trying to lose weight and get in shape. As a result, I've been shrinking in cup size dramatically. It's mostly a plus in that I prefer the smaller boobs, but unfortunately, that means all my bras are too big! I didn't even get to wear most of them because they ... were all too small when I first got them (sigh). That's what I get for buying bras when I knew I would be shrinking soon - silly me.
As the saying goes: my loss is your gain because I'm selling all my bras (AGAIN!) so I can replace them with some that will fit - or at least fit better, heh. If you buy more than one, I'm willing to work a little bit on the prices.
