Okay, this is a weird one. It's underwired, but the underwires don't come up between the breasts at the gore, they just run horizontally along the band and then stop. It feels like a cross between an underwire and a soft-cup. Or it feels like you took the underwires out of your underwire bra.

I have a little empty space at the bottom of the cup, and quadding at the center, plus what I think you call in-cup quadding -- it feels like part of the cup is rounded to the shape of my breasts, and that part bulges while the rest of the cup squashes. It's a shame -- it's very pretty and I'm always on the lookout for a pretty brown bra -- but this one is going back.
