After trying to find narrow wires for my center-full, close-set, omega-shaped breasts with no luck, I began trying wider wires with low gores. Success.

This is comfortable! The band is one of the two most comfortable I've ever worn (only 270+ bras https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> ). The other most comfortable band is the Amazing Assets Contour, http://www.bratabase.com/browse/wacoal/amazing-assets-853220/ The elastic and band fabric have nearly identical elasticity. The band feels like a gentle hug with absolutely no digging in. Additionally, the straps have limited stretch which provides wonderful support for heavier breasts.

NOTE: This band stretches 4" shorter than I would anticipate--32".

The ... cups stay in my IMF better than most. There is good immediate and apex projection. Center projection is shallow. And, 853220 is even more shallow near the gore. Overall, this bra runs 1 full size small. Typically, 36DD fits well in Wacoal, but I definitely need a 36DDD in this model. The cup edge is quite closed. For that reason, I would not recommend this for tall roots. Tall, center-full breasts...run.

The band and straps are the gems in this design. Easy to wear, round under thin knits, and supportive straps.... It is definitely worth keeping in my wardrobe.

I really love how the band is made; an inner layer of soft stretch microfiber, a middle layer of some sort of ultra thin stretch padding, and stretch satin on the outside. There is no elastic on the edges, but the layers are bonded together in a nice flat finish. But the band definitely seems short, even on the longest hook. It would most likely stretch with wear (they always do), but it caused excessive 'muffin top' under the arms and around the back. The hooks are 3 x 3, which are awesome! The straps have a soft flocking on the underside, and the front edge ... is connected to the cup with a smooth finished seam (not attached by simply stitching the strap on top of the cup). The gore is fabulously low, especially for close set breasts.
The cups however...are padded with graduated thickness, from about 3/4" at its' thickest (on the lower/outer quadrant), tapered to a smooth edge at the top of the cup that was neither too closed or too open. The width of the underwire is quite wide, & wrapped around under the arms OK, but tried to squish everything in with nowhere to go. I think the padding is intended to push 'up and in', but on me it flattened everything out and spread everything east/west with quadding everywhere. Sure seems designed for shallow & wide rather than narrow & projected.

The elastic and band tension are nearly identical. This creates a unified force that is supportive, smooth, and comfortable. Please note the stretched band length. This band was supportive on my 28.5" underbust.

Ideally, this bra is for shallow, wider breasts. Average projected breasts may find the cup depth acceptable. And, the push-up pads do move tissue toward the center. If you are center full like me, you may need to reverse swoop and scoop to reduce quadding.

I wanted to modify this bra (narrow gore and bend wires to increase projection), but the underwire poked into my lymph nodes. Sigh. My short-waisted physique does not allow room for tall wing wires.

Aside from the tall-ish underwire, this is a very comfortable bra.
