I'm solidly in between a 38 and a 40 now and this band size is perfect for me. It is firm on the first hooks because the band fabric is so firm. The band tension is right for someone of my size and shape (H or A shaped back). While I liked the extra cup room/apex projection of the 42H, there is still plenty of room in this bra and the scaling of the gore and wings is better for me. It's nearly a perfect fit. In this size ...I can see the room for my center fullness being used. No flat center with my breast tissue pushed under my armpits like the Elomi bras. It's really an elegant, perfect bra. I hope they keep using this kind of scaling and band materials and make the bra in a range of nudes. A++ bra, the best plus sized bra I have ever bought.
I usually fit a Panache 38J or JJ, so plan your size accordingly. FOB can certainly size at least one cup down from their usual Panache size I bet. Read more 101 more words
This does not fit like the Kitty bra I own in the same size. The cups are a different cut with two panels on the bottom, a side support on the edge, and a stretch lace top. The back band is a soft silky material the same as the cups of my @Sculptresse Pure rather than a power mesh. The cups are a very firm nylon. It's not scratchy but it is pretty durable feeling. The lace is soft and does not cut in. The straps are a thick padded material and only the back is stretchy and adjustable. Like the rest of the Sculptresse line, this "nude" is not a nude for me but would be perfect on a woman with a medium skin tone. I can't comment on the shape as it is not in my size and there is quadding in the cup as well as out of the cup. I also have some sort of crazy boxy shape I can't figure out. When I size up I will see about the shape.
If only this bra wasn't so pointy and didn't have such a visible horizontal seam. It's a perfect "nude" for my pale skin, but would be better for full on bottom breasts as it gives that upside down 7 look on my FOT breasts. It gaps slightly on my small side and is a bit too large on my big side as well.
Very open nonstretch top cup, does not cut in. Soft, stretchy straps not fully adjustable. Very round uplifted shape. Light and lined in beige mesh. The wires do cut in after hours of wear (thinking of putting a soft moleskin pad at the end under the armpit). The edges in the armpit are elasticized to gather more side tissue. V shaped back is super supportive and wings are stretchy but firm mesh. Although straps are wideset in front, they are close together in back, and straps mostly stay on my sloping shoulders. Retro punk look without retro shape.
