I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.

Sophia is an unpadded underwire bra in a very stretchy black lace. This makes the cups very accommodating and allows for fluctuations in size due to hormones or weight gain/loss, as well as asymmetry. There are 4 parts to the cup instead of the typical 2 to 3 parts.

The band measures 24” to a max of 32” with 4 sets of hooks and 3 rows of eyes, so the band provides a lot of support.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup ... between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12”

2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 15”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

The cup wires were wide (9” straight across) and curved to an odd angle (the very lazy J) under the arm to a length of 15.5”, but this doesn’t seem to affect comfort. The cups fit very full, but flattened my boobs & tried to push them to the side, which isn’t surprising due to the wire width. The lace was stretchy and comfortable though, and there wasn’t any quad boob. I prefer more projection and don’t want something that shoves my breasts under my arms though, so I gave this one away for another to try last year.

I wish more bras were made with this full stretch lace. The comfort and accommodations that it can provide with properly designed cups would be amazing.
