    Didn't fit

My shape is low set, short and narrow rooted, and soft.

I like half cups and this one came in a 28 band, which I've been trying some of lately since my ribcage/breast size shrunk recently. I got the raspberry colour because that was the only option, though I'm not actually a huge fan of pink. Now that I have it though, I actually kind of like the colour on.

This bra reminds me of 28FF - Cleo » Juna Balconnet Bra (6461) but perhaps not as soft feeling on the outside because of the lace on the cups.... It is a three part lightly padded half ... cup with a lace overlapy and a lace trim along the top of the cup. When I measured, I didn't include the lace in the cup height. Although the bra itself fits, and even bubbles with a fresh scoop and swoop, the lace floats just a teeensy bit when I move around. There is a similar lace trim along the straps which is pretty. However, the straps themselves are a bit thin for my liking. The band is fairly firm, without too much extra stretch. There's a little pleated looking bow on the gore. Three sets of clasps with 2 hooks each. The left cup under the underwire curls up, even when I'm not wearing it, but I don't notice it when it's on. I'm not sure if this is from them storing it or what, but it's a minor irritation aesthetically.

The cups are a bit wide for me, and so the wires don't sit up nicely in my IMF, but run about a cm under it all the way around to the sides. The shape is a tiny bit flattening but still rounded. The wings are too low for me too, so when my arms are down, I see some side boob/fat that looks like it's not being completely contained. It's not that this cup is super shallow, because I think it's typical for a 28FF depth, but I think it may not have a ton of depth right at the underwire?

Overall this bra is decent. I'll probably keep it and wear it, even though it's not a perfect fit.

It’s a pretty bra. Hope you can get a little wear from it even though it’s not a good fit.

  2. The cups have exactly the same cut as the Masquerade Georgiana (5471). It's a 3-part half cup with two vertical seams. The cups are quite shallow and wide, and therefore definitely shallow-friendly.

The cups are deeply red with a black lace overlay. There's a small black lace trim at the top of the cups and the straps, but not too much frilly stuff.
It looks smooth under T-shirts, but the seams show through.
The straps have some adornments too, and I'm not a big fan of that because it looks really weird under tanktops.

The band runs somewhat stretchy, but it feels stable at the widest hook. A sister size down was too tight on me.

    Fits

It's pretty evident that I am a big fan of Masquerade Angie, since I've now collected every color. My other two bras are 30DD, but I haven't been able to find my ideal size of 28E. Given that 3HC cuts run shallow and my only complaint about this bra is that it gives me a more minimized side appearance, I decided to try this in a 28F when I saw it available.

Surprisingly, the 28F fits quite similarly to my Comexim bras in 60H. The Basic 3HC in 60H was too shallow in the cups for me, and I haven't received my new 3HCs from Comexim ... yet, so my impression is based on the Comexim Standard Plunge cut. The wires, cup width, projection, and cup height all feel very similar to my Comexim bras. I would say this is almost a half size too large for me, but it fits my larger side well, and is a bit roomy on my smaller size. The cups definitely feel wider and are much taller than in the 30DD, which helps with giving a more rounded appearance, but it also causes the sides of the cups to come up a little bit high on me, and thus the sides of the cups and straps cut in and chafe a little bit. I frequently get the same issue in these larger cup sizes, especially in foam cup bras, just due to my petite frame, so I think this comes with the territory and is not a sign of a poor fit, as to me it's more important to get correct wire size and cup projection.

In this size, I also notice the wires more when wearing, so between the wires and the taller/wider cups, it is less comfortable than the 30DD, but gives better shape and is more supportive. Again, wires in a slightly larger cup size on me tend to be more noticeable, so this is again a common sacrifice I have to make sometimes to get the right cup size.

The 28 band is much better for me than the 30 band, and it feels comfortably snug. It is made from the same firm stretch satin that many other Masquerade bras use, and there is a gentle leotard back. The decorative straps of this bra extend quite far into the back, and the amount of adjustable strap is quite limited on this particular style.

I think that 28E would be my ideal fit, 28F gives better shape and support with some sacrifices in comfort, and 30DD is my most comfortable but less shapely and supportive option.

My other two bras are both in solid colorways, but I finally got the red/black that I really wanted! The vertical seams down the front in this colorway are black, as is the lace, which creates a nice contrast against the red foam cups. One thing I've noticed is that the lace at the upper edge is sewn rather inconsistently on all of my bras, so this may not lay flat under clothing. The seams are also not always sewn straight, so this is a deduction I would make against the quality of the bra. The fabric also feels a bit less luxe than on other Masquerade bras, but this is a subjective opinion and difficult to describe. Once again, Masquerade switched it up with the center gore decoration on the different colorways, as this one has a black ribbon bow with a small circular gold charm. I don't love the charm and I think it distracts from the overall appearance of the bra, but I appreciate the creativity of putting different decorations on each colorway!

Oh Masquerade, I am so bummed that I discovered this line well after it was discontinued. I liked my first Angie so much that I decided to grab another colorway of it, and was able to pick up Plum as well. I am very pleased that both bras measure extremely consistently and they fit identically.

I've tried a couple of other 3HC cuts since I originally tried this bra (Comexim Basic 3HC, Freya 3HC, Fantasie 3HC, Masquerade Medina 3HC), and surprisingly this is one of the only 3HC cuts that fits me well. For some reason almost all 3HCs are too shallow for me, so while ... they fit, they give me a really flat side profile. Overall, the cups fit me quite well. However, due to the shape of the cup, I would say that it looks a little different than 3HC cups from other brands. The fullness of the cup is a little skewed toward the center gore, which I also found to be true in the Athena. The horizontal center of the cup is not particularly projected and gives a slightly flatter look than you would get in a molded T-shirt bra. Vertically, the cup is also not very projected either. For a foam cup bra, this gives a much more "natural" look than other similar bras, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

The band on this bra measures the same as my Alice in 30D, which runs larger than my Rhea in 30DD. Even though the band is far from snug on me, I found it wearable and comfortable. I'd have to alter it down to get a true snug fit, but since this bra is so comfortable, I may just leave the bra as-is and wear it as a very beautiful and fancy "comfy bra." Though this measures the same as the Alice band, this style has taller wings and a leotard back, so it feels firmer and more stable, but would not be as easy to alter. One note about this is that the decorative straps of this bra extend quite far into the back, and the amount of adjustable strap is quite limited on this particular style. I have been wearing my straps longer than I used to these days, but I still had to shorten the straps the entire way.

Regarding the styling, this bra is much prettier in person than I had expected online. I have both the Raspberry and Plum colorways, which are both solid, but I think the most beautiful one is the black overlay with red. I'd love to hunt this down at some point in a 28E if possible! The cups are seamed foam cups with open floral lace overlay, and the seams are decorated on the outside with satin strips, but I didn't find them to be too lumpy under clothing. There is lightweight lace at the upper cup edge, which extends to the front of the straps. The decorative straps are made from the same satin as the seam detailing, underwire channel, and band. The cradle is also decorated with lace, hardware is gold, and the center gore is actually different between the two colorways I own-- the Raspberry has a cute little pleated bow, while the Plum has a plain bow with square amethyst charm. A thoughtful design touch that I appreciate given that Masquerade bras are luxurious without being over the top with trims.

Oh Masquerade, I am so bummed that I discovered this line well after it was discontinued. I've been picking up scraps and pieces from eBay, so I've mostly been relegated to my sister size of 30DD rather than my normal 28E. Usually sister sizing for me can be a risky prospect since I have a 26.5" ribcage, but while Masquerade 30 bands are a little big, they don't run nearly as big as other brands. Luckily, most of the cup shapes in this line have worked out for me as long as I do the proper research to identify the best size to order since ... they are a bit inconsistent.

Angie is another bra that has worked out quite well for me. Originally I was concerned about this style because the pictures made it look quite unappealing in the solid color, and the measurement info for 30DD suggested that the cups run a whole size too shallow. However, Angie eventually won me over, so I decided to order it. This 3HC cup does run a bit shallow, but not nearly as shallow as the measurement data lead me to believe. I found that the cup depth on my actual bra is much closer to the measurement of the 28E (expected measurement, since there are no measurements available), so I suspect that the listed info for 30DD is simply due to measurement error.

Overall, the cups fit me quite well. However, due to the shape of the cup, I would say that it looks a little different than 3HC cups from other brands. The fullness of the cup is a little skewed toward the center gore, which I also found to be true in the Athena. Once again, Masquerade has delivered another lovely bra. I ended up purchasing another one in Plum and am pleased that both bras measure extremely consistently and fit the same!

Note to self: the outer edge of this bra is 4 inches, which is shorter than many other bras in this size range.

This bra almost ticks a lot of boxes for me: it's less painful in the armpit than a lot of other bras, there's only a little gap at the top of my smaller boob, the gore tacks most of the way & is only crawling onto my larger boob. If the wires were narrower and the whole thing shorter on the sides (wires and fabric both), I'd actually like it.

Too big for me in the cups. The lace wrinkles- but the seams are also kind of puffy and would be visible under a smooth shirt.

  8. This bra is very sexy and fits well. This is one of the first bras I ever got in my new size (38G UK). I don't wear it as often because the way the seams are designed in the front, it will show through clothes, but it's a great bra. It's lacy and very sexy. It's comfortable overall and is one of the bras I can wear most of the day without it being too tight or uncomfortable.

I have large breasts where the root is close together and I have "settled" breasts. So this is a good bra if you have close breasts and need a little separation. My best-fitting bras so far are panache, elomi, masquerade, and the freya marvel/patsy, if that helps. This one has a more comfortable band like the elomi and panache bras. It's not as tight as parfait and freya bras.

I am probably wrong, but I THINK I'm shallow, average root width, and even/FOB.
This bra is absolutely gorgeous! It is a dark plum color with gold accents at the gore and on the band. The band is tight enough for me even on the loosest set of hooks. I could go to the middle but it feels fine where it is now. (I have a sub 28" ribcage) The seams are barely visible under tighter shirts, and are slightly itchy on the inseide, but it should soften up with washing and wearing. It expects more upper fullness than I have, which causes the lace at the top to wrincle, but the actual cup sits flush with my tissue. The wires are 1/2 to 1 in wider than my roots, but it isn't uncomfortable and doesn't seem to effect the overall fit. There is lace attached to the side of the straps which looks a little odd under tank tops etc.
All in all I'm very happy!
