This my 3rd 'Elegance Underwire Lace Bra (9845) from Glamorise. I think they've been my favorite bra for a few years now. And I am sad to say I think they have been discontinued! : ( That is why I ordered this off of ebay . I've checked around couldn't find any 40DD's except this grey/purple one.) (not my favorite color) So now I have 3 of them . My 1st one I bought around 2 years ago. It's white and is on it's last hooks and just about worn out. My 2nd one is nude and it's almost brand new. All 3 are in 40DD.
... The 9845 is a full coverage , cut and sew 3part cups that almost look lace but are really of a soft mesh material. They have the super padded 'Wonderwire' underwire which are so soft and comfy! The 4.5 inch side wing and 3 hook and back makes a sturdy band. This one is a grey-ish purple color(I guess they are calling it 'lilac') with pink bows on the gore and on the straps right above where they connect to the cups. Also the same pink color lace that runs across the upper cups. The straps measure just over 3/4" wide
    I love these bras!
I got this one from a seller on ebay for $31 and free shipping and it only took 3 days to arrive! I'm really bummed that they are discontinued. I am gonna keep my eyes open for more of these bras in 40DD and I might even try a sister size of 42D OR 38DDD!

I liked the Glamorise bras I tried out! They just didn’t fit right unfortunately. Cups too wide. Really liked the construction though, so sturdy!

    • 1

@dogmarwulfe, That's too bad they don't fit you. : ( Their @Wonderwire's are so comfortable and soft!

    • 2

Yeah, the wonder wires are pretty great! I was very impressed with them. I’ve been wishing for quite some timeI could justify buying the model you’ve reviewed here. I just can’t though. I’m glad you’re getting to enjoy them though, and I’m sorry they are being discontinued. That sucks.

    • 2

@dogmarwulfe, I saw on my blog where you said you were interested in @Rive Gauche bras. What size, I have 3 I think. Maybe I could give you one!

    • 1

Aw, that’s so kind! I don’t find many people on here lately that wear my size. The 70H fits well, but I’d be up for trying 75G. I just think the Rive Gauche is such a comfy and beautiful bra.

    • 1

@dogmarwulfe, I looked everywhere and all I can find is my nude @Rive Gauche 40DD. I could have sworn I had a kind of a maroon colored in 85F. It will probably turn up, but, those would be too big for you any way. : ( I'm very sorry! : )

    • 1

No worries!!! If you ever come across a Rive Gauche in 70H or 75G I will absolutely buy it off you. <3

The Great Amazon Prime Wardrobe Try-On, Part 4!
My shape: projected, soft tissue, narrow shoulders and roots, FOB
Fit: Wide wires, though, refreshingly, the straps are rather narrow-set. There's this weird, folded over extra layer of fabric all around the underwire inside the cup. I'm not sure what it's for. The wires themselves feel flimsy. Doesn't support my breasts, makes them look like sad, heavy sacks on my chest.
This is probably one or two cups too large for me. Gore doesn't tack.
Appearance: This looks grannyish to me, no offense to anyone. I do like the color, though; it's a grayish mauve.

This bra seems well made. It fits tightly like a sports bras does. The straps are very thick although tapered. I don't know that it does anything for my posture despite its name. I'm 5'4" and the wings are too tall for me so that it irritates my arms. Also the gore is very long and on my tends to want to fold under. With 7 front closing hooks to do up, it's not for those with dexterity problems! It is wireless, which I like but it fits so closely that it rubs and I must take it off before too many hours.

This bra is different than bras I have worn before. I have been losing weight so many of my newer bras are too big. It has a size 30 band when I usually wear a 28 band, and it is a 30E/30F so it's on the smaller side for me cup wise but fits both my larger and smaller breast okay. It fits oddly, but not in a bad way. It feels a bit shallow and the wires a little wide but it is still somewhat comfy. Wearing it I have no real cleavage and some odd skin buckling when I do a full scoop and swoop. But, ... overall my breasts settle into it comfortably in an unexpected way that I like the bra. The straps are close enough together and adjust enough. The middle clasp is interesting I keep wanting to slide it the wrong way but it stays put. There are two wires that come straight up at the gore area that are spaced somewhat far apart that are firm, as seen in the pictures. They seem to push my breasts to the side a bit but it's not exactly uncomfortable or digging into my sternum There's no oppertunity to tighten it if/when the band stretches out because it is just a single front clasp. I dislike this because I like wearing 28 bands. This bra is black lace and while it doesn't make my breasts look big and voluptuous, its comfortable and sexy enough to wear in the bedroom. I got a good deal and was debating getting the same bra in tan, but did not. Seems to work okay with my recent loss of weight/cup size/lack of upperfullness I have now. No push up here! This really feels like a minimizing bra and not the usual look I go for, but overall I like it! It feels well made. I decided against getting another one in tan but I will be keeping this.

With respect to the middle clasp...are you by any chance left-handed? I feel like bra closures like snaps or clasps are always designed for someone who is right-handed lol.

    • Sorry I missed that comment #carrythedollhouse
I am not left handed I am right handed, one of my few front clasp bras, I think this one is weird and like, I want to intuitively pull it either up or down, opposite of what I need too. They all happen to drive me bonkers until I get the hang of it. This one I think is the one I have that felt extra weird to me though, which has caused pause in the bedroom during evening activities lol

I tried this bra in this size and 44G - Glamorise » Sexy Underwire Lace Bra (9850). The band on this was really long but the cups fit really well- not super supportive, but a nice relaxed shape. The wire was in some sort of padded sling I would have gotten rid of- too scratchy. The gore and sides were nice and low and the wires were narrow. I was contained and the gore soft tacked. I was thinking this is the lowest gore in my size I’ve ever seen.

In size 44G the band fit better but everything else was too small.

All in all a nice budget bra for being sexy or lounging as long as the scratchy part gets cut out.

    • Thanks@cupandahalf for the info on this bra. I was planning on maybe buying one because my favorite perfect bra for me is a @Glamorise and I love full lace cups. But you say it is 'scratchy' so I'll have to try one on somewhere that have them (if I can find one) before I 'd order one on-line. This saves me from having to return it.

I hurt my shoulder a year ago and sometimes have had issues with bra straps being too tight. I also wanted to try another wire free bra for comfort. I bought this in black. It has a sturdy construction and an internal sling to help push the breasts forward.

Overall, the bra does fit and it does have some lift, but since I'm a 38K US / 38H UK and there's no underwire, there's only so much lift it can give. So my boobs tend to point downward in this bra. It also gives a squarish, east-west look. Thankfully, it doesn't look as bad under clothes.

The Glamorise Magic ... Lift bra does offer back support and it's hard to find a front closure bra in really large sizes, so that is a huge plus. But the overall look of the bra is not what I normally like to wear. I am used to my my Panache Cleo underwire bras that give me a nice, rounded shape and good lift. I did like the Cacique No-wire Cooling bra, but they don't make it in my size and it's harder to figure out the right sister-size now.

For a no-wire bra in extra large sizes that has decent back support, I think the Glamorise bra is a good option, particularly for those of us who are over a US G size and want the option of a front closure bra. Just know that it's a plain, serviceable bra that doesn't have high lift for larger sizes.

I got this for great price on Herroom.com. The material is soft and the fabric is pretty. Great for narrow shoulders. The lace is see-through (I wore inserts for modesty in the photos). The band runs small, the cups run wide. I'm not crazy about the shiny reflective elastic tape showing through the lace along the top of the cup. Not a good fit for me. I have east-west breasts and I think that I'm not full on bottom enough. My ribcage measures at 35.5-36 inches but this 38" band does not fit. I'm still trying to figure out what categories I fit into. I noticed just how much this bra doesn't fit me when I took photos me modeling it! I hope this helps someone else https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

This is my 2nd Glamorise (9845) bra in 40DD. I got the 1st one a year and a half ago only in white. I bought this one because my 1st one has been heavily used and has worn out. So this one is a replacement, I have to say this style is my most favorite bra I've ever worn! Most supportive and comfortable bras and they give my boobs a round shape just how I like! The best thing about this purchase is that I won it from an ebay auction for $9 plus shipping of $8! What a score! I saved about $35!
As for this bra, it is a 3-part all lace cup, cut and sew full coverage underwire bra. Very comfy underwire that they call the 'Wonderwire' which is padded underwire channels. My size ,40DD, has 3 hooks in the back, which I prefer over 2 hooks like a lot of bras have. I will definitely be buying more of these in the future!

Glamorise cup sizing is very weird, I wear 36F (equivalent to UK 36E) whereas I wear 36F-FF or 34FF-G in UK size bras. So this had a lot of empty space at the top. On Amazon it’s listed as a Wonderwire bra. It seems to have a bit of light padding attached at the bottom and sides which provides the main means of support. It’s not enough if you’re pendulous like I am. The bottom portion of the cup has a light beige lining so it does cover your nipples. In the right size could be a cute lounge bra.

    • I actually liked this bra quite a bit and got some lift. It’s definitely more like a heavy duty bralette than a bra

    • Maybe it’s more supportive in the right size. I may try again.

This bra and the Satin and Lace Wonderwire bra = the best-looking Glamorise bras
NOTABLE FEATURES: Wonderwire design element where the MEDIUM-SOFT underwires are encased in fabric; all-over stretch lace.
COLOR: White, beige and 1 fashion color which I chose - lavender-tinted steel color with an orchid-colored trim.

    SIZING:
As somebody between 40DDD and 42DD, when I tried on 40F generously stretchy in the band and big in the cup.
Which means the bra runs 1 size BIG in the band & cup [for avg/short roots and FOB shape].

I exchanged this bra for 40DD and IT FIT! Forgiving stretch lace materials + my soft tissue let me redistribute the reduction in ... cup volume such that I lose the gaping at the top of cups but mostly maintain the projection I need.
The cups were TALL, a full cup both in coverage and in the T seam pattern and 3-piece construction.

    COMFORT:
Having grown used to being trussed up in Panache wires, I hardly notice these softer (plastic?), encased wires.
The cup are 2-ply - an inner layer of powermesh on the inside and stretch lace on the outside; it can get itchy.
I recommend a hand wash and direct application of undiluted fabric softener, i.e unscented Downy, to the cups to prevent potential discomfort.

=> Not an optimal sleep bra but a SOLID LOUNGE BRA.

Epic fail with this sports bra! To be honest, I didn't have the highest hopes since this wasn't available in my proper band/cup. If my existing 34D sports bras don't fit right, chance were low a 34DD would be much better. This bra is also wirefree which - while comfortable - was a departure for me. I am on a mission to find a good encapsulation sports bra and this Glamorise wirefree model does not fit the bill. The band is too big, cups too small, and the strap length is a total joke. SO SHORT! I'm an average height woman ... with average positioning of my breasts and I'm pretty sure I heard seams ripping as I tried to get this sucker on. I didn't even try jumping up and down for fear of tearing the stiches in the seams. Oh, and the underwire substitute in the cups is like little underboob slings, which is probably great if you have nice firm tissue, but for me felt and looked bad. This sports bra did not work. Although - plus one for the very generous band height and 4 hooks!

    Didn't fit

This is just a wire-free leisure bra, intended for sleeping/lounging at home or post-surgical. The only "cup" shaping is a dart under the bust points, so the fit is not at all technical. I just wanted to comment because I saw that no one had reviewed this bra and I know a lot of women, particularly the "small band/big cup" crowd, are constantly on the lookout for a comfortable leisure bra that isn't gigantic. I'm a 30 or 32G in Freya. My breast tissue is very soft and somewhat pendulous due to a large weight loss and multiple pregnancies. So sleeping braless is not an option for me ... because I'm just too floppy. I've struggled to find something I can wear to bed because most basic cotton sports bras and simple bralettes don't accommodate larger breasts. And the plus-sized comfort bras are just too large in the band. This Glamorise, while not perfect, is pretty great. The band is snug enough to keep me contained (although I *have* to wash these bras after the second wear because they get super stretched out) and there is plenty of fabric to keep the girls inside. Support is minimal but fine for laying around. I wouldn't attempt jumping jacks in this bra, however. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> The center gore is VERY tall and the front-closure has 7 hooks and the straps are wide, so this thing peeks above most necklines. The racer back is nice for weight distribution and keeping the bra in place while you're sleeping. I have a different Glamorise leisure bra that has more conventional shoulder straps and that one leaves grooves and gives me a sore neck. And the cotton material, although is gets baggy pretty fast, is especially nice if you "run hot" or have night sweats like I do.

The fit is so good with excellent support 5 hooks on 46D band is tighter at first but relaxes a bit once worn but without becoming slack so holds you in always but not too tight/firmly that uncomfortable. worn for a while so washed many times and keeps shape(i hand wash always in luke warm water then hand dry)Love the 4 levels of support with the front flap as when hooked on 4th level is more like a compression bra so keeps them in and very discrete to wear even under a t shirt which for males is great that need help/support.
The fabric is soft and comfortable without ... being flimsy keeps you from sweating as breathable it is so well made/designed that went back and got some more not cheap @ £40 in uk but for price and comfort/support along with discreteness is beyond price.
Wasn't always too sure on Glamorise but after this bra look at there other bra's etc
I like many wear for all day wear/comfort as few other males wear it too who have found it.
Find it's comfortable from time putting bra on till the time take off and think it will become an all time classic!
The only thumbs down is the bottom of under band can roll up slightly but not the end of the world.
But for me very happy with this bra as think got my prolactin down as nipples not getting so sore as stops things chaffing!
Ive had gyno since young and have Raynauds/Fibro plus found v high prolactin(pit tumor)

Hi thank you well on the 2nd test it was down to 600 odd they did say had come down my FSH is bargain basement level but there still not sure on why/what etc could be lymph nodes as have problem in jaw area just waiting for appointment and i know fibro causes hormone problems as that's where it works/effects us not like normal pains my T is all over the place too plus other things arn't right still could be worse could be ugly? but i know feel more comfortable with a bra/support as nipples get like bullets with pains in that area from time to time but think could be linked with pains in under carriage etc if that makes sense.but learn't to live with it all as we do and still laugh.
Do like to try and leave a decent review as some just say nice/fits etc i do look at things and work them out or round problems rather than nothing.
Have a look/read of Elisabeth Dales web blog @Breast life lot's of info even has a page for males that need and say's ladies could learn a lot from males with way we work round things and look at it.

    • Wow. That's astronomically high, and that's down from what it was? I can't begin to imagine what that's doing to your body. Sounds like you have very serious endocrine problems. I hope they can be effectively dealt with.

As you say, though, learn to live with it, because if you can't, life gets so much more difficult to live.

Thank you for sharing this, oscar.

      --Kristine

    • Hi well it is/was all up and down in many hormone levels they took again and said would work with that level or go on as some say take 7 times odd to find working level!Plus i'm finding out more and more that the fibro causes so many problems in many ways/area's that they never thought or think do as things don't heal for one.
What i have found or finding so far that since worn a bra more it seems a lot better with some other problems like had to wash hair every other day or was tacky that seems a lot better now.
Plus pains in T is less along with nipples etc pains less so who knows what tomorrow may bring?

But thank you for ear to tell to.
But must say learn't a lot about bra's and breast's passed some on to others that have found helpful and if we can't help others well what can we do?

Please disregard wire measurement as this is a wireless bra. However, wire length was a mandatory item in listing a bra.

Updated Dec 2012 after tissue migration and new fitting techniques.

Pro: I bought this as a travel bra for long trips where I want support but no wires (not only for my comfort but to not trip the metal detectors at airports! I don't know if underwire bras do that but it did happen at the local courthouse recently). This bra will likely draw TSA attention because it looks and feels like body armor!
*Even though it's not the most flattering bra, and the material is stiff and a bit ... scratchy (should get softer over time), it does the job I ask of it which is provide a non-wire, no seam bra for travel.

    Con:
*Five hooks is a lot, people! It would be OK with 3. Speaking of TSA, all that metal will no doubt trigger some kind of alarm.
Bottom of the band rolls up--band is too big on my short (compact) torso.
*Armpit boobage. These straps need to be as short as possible and the band up under the breasts as much as possible. Straps won't adjust long enough on most people as there is a small amount of adjustment possible.
*You will not win any beauty contests at the gym wearing this bra, nor will you be able to finish any sprints if you are a G cup, but for low to medium impact activities, this should be OK.

The gore itself, the front closing clasp, is small and fine. But the wires near the sternum that usually is part of the gore dug into breast tissue. Either they are too tall (I am petite and my boobs are short) or the cup separation is too big.

It supports side boobs very well. Side support is a problem I have with lot of bras and Glamorise 9245 at least does this very well.

I had difficulty filling the bottom of the cups. My IMF is quite flat at the bottom, while the cups assume a more UU shape.

    Fits

Rarely worn bra between breast augmentation surgeries. I measured 29-30 inches at the underbust, and 38 inche around the bust at the time that I purchased this bra. Loved it for weight, core, and cardio workouts.

  20. Front Closing Stretch Lace Wonderwire (9245)

    Didn't fit

This was a long shot, but the cup size looked like it might fit. Plus, I found it on clearance, so I figured I'd give it a try.

Totally the wrong size & shape for me. Wide gore sits on breast tissue. Stretch lace cups quad. Band rides up. The dart in the lace (from the strap to apex) stops at an awkward spot. Definitely returning.
