    Fits

When I first saw the Vixen, I loved its look and immediately thought (or wished?) it could be a perfect fit for me. And it is! Thanks to annabellynn who made this possible via exchanges.
It seems like Freya designs some of their plunges specifically for my shape with narrow & deep features. The fit is similar to Arabella or Oh la la. I read comments and reviews which were mentioning the cups being too closed on top, but this doesn't interfere with the fit on me, despite my tall roots. When wearing it I feel as if I weren't wearing a bra at all, but my breasts are simply lifted by a magic force! So it must be magic. And it seems the force is with me, too. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Looks gorgeous on you!! I so wish I could find a Freya Plunge that fits, but they are too deep when the cup is finally wide enough. Sigh.

    • Thanks Love4Pollinators! Yes, the unpadded Freya plunges tend to be deep. You might have better luck with their half cups.

My new fav, too! Freya plunges are amazing!

So cool that it works for you! Yay!

The measurements on this look really nice. I've never liked freya because I've always gotten a pointed semi droopy shape but now I'm wondering if I just needed to size down

    • 1

revisa I think the newer model plunges don't fit as pointy on me as the older ones.

    Didn't fit

Freya. Whyyyyyyyyyy. Why do you do this to us? I am heartbroken about this bra because I LOVE the aesthetics of it but it fits so horribly that it is unflattering and I'll have to return it.

The transparent mesh is comfortable and sexy. The houndstooth is based on a cream color, not a pure white, which adds sophistication. The upper cup portion has rainbow metalic thread woven into the houndstooth detail that glitters gold, teal, and magenta. Houndstooth. Houndstooth. Houndstooth. Sparkle. Houndstooth. Styled bows. :https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_confused.gif" alt=":s" />obs quietly::

The wires are nice and narrow. That is a about all there is to say in favor ... of the way this bra is sized. The sides are a little too low-coverage for my prefernce as is typical of Freya plunges but I would have forgiven that.

What really breaks this bra is the cup depth and how closed on top the cups are. With a 7.75" cup depth, I would say this 28D bra might fit someone who measures 28DD or 28E, assuming they could deal with the narrow wires and closed-on-top shape. I get a little bit of digging in / quadboob at the top immediately after putting the bra on but it does settle down quickly so you can't see it in the photos.

I might write a letter to Freya. I want 28D and similar sizes to remain available but I'm worried that they'll see low sales numbers and discontinue those sizes. If they could do the scaling/cut a bit differently, I'll bet a whole bunch of us would run out right now and buy this bra.

This one is pretty deep for its size, just compared to the Arabella in the next size up:
      http://bra.pe/CIIf/

    • erispe that is a good point! I wonder if I got a mislabeled or mutant bra. Although I had the same experience with 28D - Freya ยป Totally Tartan Plunge Balcony Bra (1421). Hmmmmmm.

The Arabella is actually in my official Bratabase recommendations. I might try that one next!

I love that bra. But seeing it on you tells me it won't fit me, in a way I'd like. I can tell it would be too closed on top, and I'd probably have that little bit of space to the upper side of the apex.
*if* you didn't pay a lot for that bra, I'd suggest altering the cups (by taken it in on the seam where the upper piece meets the lower pieces); that's also if you really wanted to keep the bra.

    • I guess that would happen for me with Freya plunges, too. I heard all these unpadded plunges to have really deep cups, so I tried Fauve Chloe plunge, noticed that there was way too much cup for my breast and stayed away from Fauve and Freya plunges.
I guess they are made having a different type of breast in mind.

    • This is exactly how the Vixen fit on me as well, and I was trying on a 30G. The cups were so deep, but closed on top. I loved the look of it too. :( I wish Freya balconettes fit differently.

    • Uhh, hate to say it now - for some reason Eveden designs for my shape. Freya/Fauve balconettes especially.

    • I had the exact same problem with this bra and basically all Freya plunges that are from the past 4 years. I've had better luck with their older designs, though!

I noticed that you also have the gap in the side of the cup above the wire, by the armpit. This is another Freya habit and it annoys me so much and I don't know why they do it :(

    Didn't fit

This bra is gorgeous and unique! I love the houndstooth details and metallic stitching on the cups. It's bright and fun without being over the top. Unfortunately I found 30E Vixen to run large in the cup - 9.5" deep with a typical loose Freya band. The top of the cup still lays pretty flat on me, it just seems to want more apex projection and overall fullness than I have maybe. So it might not be great for Full on top. I would love to try this bra in 28E or 30DD.

I've been obsessed Freya bras lately. So many unique patterns, colors, and styles like this one! Got my eye on the Zentangle now. I fit pretty well into the Ooh La La plunge so I think there is still hope despite this Vixen not working.

Thanks for this review and measurements. I've been looking for this same bra. Now I think the cups will be too deep for me as well in this size. I want to try a Freya balcony, but the sizing seems all over the place.
