Purchasing: * $39.94 on Amazon with free Prime shipping & returns (not Amazon Wardrobe) * available in black, white, beige, and some fun colors
Band: * Made of a stretch mesh with a stretch lace overlay. Lace stretches horizontally only. Mesh has 2-way stretch. * Elastic at top of band. * Wing support: soft seaming * Continuous band - band is straight under the wires -- a short longline (this won't provide any waist shaping). * Additional seaming (not reinforced with boning) under each apex to keep band flat (spoiler: doesn't work). * Back close with 3 columns of hooks.
Straps: * smooth elastic * soft (don't stand up on their own) * full adjust * ...straight back (not a leotard back)
Cups: * 3 seam (4-piece) half cup * Underwire is unpadded but can barely feel. * Outer fabric is a lace that stretches horizontally only. * Structure comes from a very thin layer of opaque, non-stretch foam. These cups are just barely molded. * Slightly unusual construction: Lace and foam were cut and sewn separately. They are attached only at the wire and top edge -- not at cup seams.
Fit
About me: petite with wide horizontal oval, slightly conical breasts * average projection * wide-set (3 fingers width of space between breasts) * very wide roots (extend past the mid-axillary line) * even horizontal fullness (just barely outer full) * short root height, average vertical placement * mix of firm & soft tissue (front molds to shape of bra, sides push wimpy wires away) * conical shape (but will squish to round) * full on top (2/4 shape, not even or very full) - BUT functionally even to FOB due to short roots and soft tissue * petite (5'3") so have narrow frame * front (anterior) rib flares
Band: * length: tight, took a couple of attempts to fasten on loosest hook * wings: too short, boobs escape * no axillary skin spillage
Gore: Comfortable, tacks, good spacing, height fine.
Cups: * Gives an oval shape. * Wires too narrow. * Top of cup is smooth.
Straps: * Feel wide set but don't slip. * adjust short enough
Comfort & Fit Summary * Band too small, cups too narrow. * Didn't try other sizes, not sure why. Read more 245 more words
My shape: close set, center full, full on bottom, average/narrow width roots, tall shallow roots, soft tissue.
I was first attracted to this bra because of its gray/white print and because it was part of Amazon wardrobe. It was also a Freya model I hadn’t tried and I guess I was curious that maybe this one would do the trick.
The cups on this Freya bra fit surprisingly well on me, no wrinkling anywhere (!!), and the top is pretty open with stretchy mesh which is nice. The only part that doesn’t fit is the gore, it’s too far apart and sit on breast tissue on me. I’m so sad that all the bras that I try have this problem.
The straps are kinda far apart and they don’t fully adjust which might be a problem for some. Also the band is pretty loose, I can put it on the tightest hook right away and it doesn’t feel fully snug. I would definitely size down in the band!
What is up with these Freya bands? They all seem to run pretty loose on me compared to all the Cleos I've tried! I can already put this on the tightest hooks and it feels nice, maybe a tiny bit loose. I love this bra, its fits well in the cups. They come up pretty high, but they're still okay. The fabric is really pretty, but it will show under clingy tops/shirts. It's not really padded, but it does have a thicker "foam" lining (see my pics of the inside cups). The gore is low which is very nice and the cup separation is not bad for the ...height. There is some empty space on the sides of the cups, but it's not very annoying, I guess it does make my breasts loose a bit of oomph factor, but it's not bothersome. Overall, it's probably one the best fitting bras I've tried.
Tempted to keep this, but I'm afraid this will stretch out too much in the 32 band for me. I'm going to try and find this in a 30F and update this review to see if it changes the fit of the cups. Read more 86 more words
The wires are a little too narrow for me. The gore is a little too wide (but not too tall). Narrower straps than on the 32F (5/8" vs 3/4"). Bottom line: the cups quad in the center, gape at the top.
In the never-ending search for the best fitting bra & size, this was a step in the right direction. Unfortunately, though, 32E is a band size big & a couple cup sizes too small.
The quality of the bra in general is impressive. The colors are bright, the details on the band are lovely, and the j-hook is a nice touch. The cups are VERY stiff & structured, so there is some inevitable gaping on my smaller side. The larger side, however, is quading a bit out the side and the top, and the wire sits on my breast tissue by the gore and along the outside.
Because of the stark assemytry between my boobs, I'm not sure that even in the proper size this bra would fit well. The cups just aren't very forgiving!
I don't think this bra has enough immediate projection for me - I have some wrinkling at the bottom of the cups. The cup also seems much larger than my other bras by Freya but they are the sports (4002 and 4892 in 34DD) so that may be the difference, either way I end up with a LOT of gapping at the top & middle. Definitely not a fit on me. Maybe if I size down to a 32D/DD I would have a better fit there but with the other problems it just isn't worth trying that out.
I thought I was buying the 32F cup, but the website where I bougth this bra made the conversion to EU size badly ... So as expected for too small cups, my boobs want to escape and make a quad boob. Also, it doesn't fit my quite shallow shape.
I tried this and Patsy from Freya and this fit better for me - I do get some very slight gapping at the top of the cups throughout the day, but that's not a big deal for me. Not noticeable under a t-shirt, so it doesn't bother me.
I think this bra is too shallow for me and a bit of a shape mismatch. It's not uncomfortable, but I get a lot of gapping in the center near the cups. Disappointing since this is such a cute bra!
Like so many others for me the straps are too far out causing discomfort. I moved the straps in a bit in the front and vast improvement. Otherwise, the fit is pretty good, I can wear it all day.
I was really hopeful this one would fit, since it was one of the recommendations for me. The gore is too wide for its height, causing spillage in the center. If it was shorter as in a plunge, the width would not be an issue. The gore tacks my sternum OK, but squishes the breast tissue up and out. The rest of the cup fits OK, not great. The top edge lays flat until I roll my shoulders forward, then it gapes. Also needs to be wider on the sides since there was side spillage. The band is a bit large. I had to use the middle hooks to start off with. Not keeping this one.
New bra, so no long-day review yet. Feels light and soft. Straps comfortable width for my shoulders. Band tight, but hoping it will stretch slightly with wear.
I love this bra. Its so bright and summery! Unfortunately, the band is too big. I usually wear a 30 in Freya bras, and despite finding this on a fantastic sale, I can't justify the too big band.
As far as the cup fits, its exactly like my 30F Freya Ignite - in other words, a perfect fit for my projected, fob/even, center heavy, short rooted boobs. There's plenty of immediate projection, center projection, and depth. The shape is uplifted and gently rounded - not as basketball-y as cleo bras, but not too pointed (like my Freya tropics bra).
Love this bra it's so cute! I have soft tissue full on bottom narrow breast and I think I might have bought this bra a cup size too big. The band fits well but there is some empty space at the top of the cup and the underwrite digs Into my armpit. Other than that it's a gorgeous bra!
This is a wonderful bra, and I wish I hadn't bought it in the wrong size. I've only worn it 3-4 times total, so the wear is incredibly light if present at all. It's comfortable, easily adjustable, and the high quality expected from Freya.
I love the bright colors of the Parade! It's fun and happy looking. For all that brightness, I can still wear it under lots of clothes - the seams don't show very much for me, and the color disappears under dark shirts or two layers.
Every time I wear this bra, it fits great for about 5 minutes. Then, as my tissue settles, my boobs start pushing the wire down and out. I need more immediate projection than the Parade offers. It also gets a little itchy in the band, still wearable, but noticeable.
