Pros: Like the style, looks really nice. Band fits ok, not too tight but secure. Cup is good size, wires don't dig anywhere. Cons: Fabric comes too high up under the arms, it chafes. Straps are too wide apart for my liking, more chafing along the armpit. The strap is fastened in a bad angle to te band in the back, when I put the bra on, the plastic buckle turns a bit and digs into flesh on the outside and sticks away from my back on the inside (closer to the spin) and it is really uncomfortable (had the same problem with Freya Halle, which was otherwise really perfect)
Had to give it back, it was faulty - the hooks were comming off
Fit like a 28JJ. Gave me kind of a "ski-slope" look (My husband's words) It had been the bra I wanted for a long time, now I know it doesn't fit. Very cute!
Freya Faye 30J I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.
Faye is an unpadded underwire bra in a full cup balcony style. It comes in a White, Black or Beige w/cream dots/snowflake type pattern. I tried Faye in 28J, 30J, and 30JJ in black, as well as 30JJ in white.
The 30J measures band 27” to a max of 33.5" with 3 hooks with 3 rows of eyes, and like the 28J, the straps are very long.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 12.5”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 15”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands.
Nice basic black bra from Freya. Material is very soft, full coverage style.
This is an older model, so the cup shape is rounder, and the band is firmer than what you would expect out of a more recent Freya. I purchased this based on the fit of my Freya Hopscotch, and the band here is MUCH firmer, so it ended up being a band too small for me.
If you normally size down in Freya, you do not need to for this bra.
Took a long time to break in, and after a 10 hours of wear it still irritates my skin on the armpit. I find the cups rub me a little bit, as in the straps are set a little too wide. The stitching a crossed the top of the cup cuts into my breast tissue, causing quad boob.
I just received this bra so I might update it in a few weeks to let you know my final review.
I purchased the Jolie balcony in 30J after I previously ordered a 32HH Freya bra (my usual "Cleo size") but I found the band too large so I had to send it back. The band on this bra is about the right size, but it's a bit tight so I will have to get an extender to give me an extra row and some room to breath. I hope the band stretches out a bit in the future. I hesitated between the HH and the J cups, being a 32HH ...going down a band size, but I don't regret getting the J cups because it fits like it should.
The center gore lies flat against my chest although I have the constant feeling it doesn't when I look at it. The top of the wires in the center are a little bent outwards that's why I have this feeling.
The straps are large, which I liked in the previous Freya bra I bought (the one I sent back) but with this one, they have a tendency to slip from my narrow shoulders.
I love that there are 3 hooks instead of only 2. There is also a side support in the form of a flexible vertical straight wire on each "wing" of the band.
The fabric is soft and airy but not really see-through on my skin, which I like.
I didn't have the choice of colors and received the "chili" color which is a very bright red, almost pink color. I thought I would dislike it because red isn't a color I'm comfortable with and I don't think it goes well with my complexion, but I was surprised to be pleased by the "chili" color ! There are cute little red roses with navy "bows" between the cups and on the end of the straps. The cups are made from a cobweb-like fabric, with a pattern of simple flowers. I don't like the flower pattern much, it looks like it has been drawn by a 5-year-old... It doesn't go well with the overall adult silhouette of the bra, in my opinion. It is not very obvious when you wear it though.
This bra gives my breasts a rather natural shape, which I'm not used to with the brand Cleo I usually buy (which gives me the best rounded shape), but I don't think I look bad in this bra so that's ok.
On first try, I thought this bra wasn't as comfortable as my Cleo ones, especially around the wires, but I hope that will change once it becomes nicely worn in.
So in conclusion, I have mixed feelings about this bra, but the overall feeling makes that I am keeping it and hope for the best between me and this Jolie piece of underwear https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />
I require one extender with this one, with both bra and extender on the loosest row. There some spillage, but the bra itself looks so good that I really can't make myself care. Also, I get the fabled creaking wires when I move a certain way? Fancy that.
This fits very well, although the band is a bit stretchy. I bought a band size smaller than I usually do, and bought a cup size up as a result. The straps are very long, but can be adjusted the full length of the strap and is a non-issue.
I don't know if it's just my shape, but from the side it makes my boobs look pointy--and almost pointing straight out. from an angle it looks okay, but from the side it's just weird. And under a shirt there is a definite line where the lace meets the rest of the cup material.
The lace is really flat, if there was more room in the lace it would probably look good, but as it is the lace "flattens" the top of your breast into the round cup. Very strange.
Also, the wires are "creaky" in the casings. So, whenever you move you hear groaning noises. Awk!
Need a bra extender, but thats fine as I am normally 32 anyway quad boob just on one side annoyingly! Wires also pushed forward by boobs so just too small for me! good straps that adjust all the way, but weight of boob pulls it down causing them to lengthen over the day some backfat escaping as wires are low on the armpit diagnoal shape of cup cuts through tissue causing the quad boob nice solid bra and pretty pattern, well made.
This fits similarly to the black 32HH 4102 I reviewed. When I first got it, the band was too tight (unsurprisingly, since my break-the-tape measurement is 30.5") but after a few months, it stretched to fit comfortably.
This is probably the best fitting bra I have, but it does dig in underneath my boobs as the day goes on. I am using an extender at the moment which makes it a little better. The straps are fantastic. I don't have a quad boob happening and it doesn't dig in under my arms which is amazing. The straps still slip off my shoulders throughout the day, and the shape is a bit too pointy. I like to wear a crop top over it to give me a rounded shape.
Love the color (black and pink). It feels sturdy. The lace at the top of the cup tends to dig in and make me look pointier and flat on top. So glad in comes in my size, though!
This is bra is so very pretty. I initially had doubts about the whole orange and black and teal thing, but this is gorgeous. I first tried this on in a shop in 32HH. The volume seemed okay-ish, but the band was too loose, so we tried a 30 - the shop didn't have a J, sadly. So I ordered it off Bravissimo. 30 band is on the spot, at least, this band is pretty loose. Now, I'm in doubt if I really need a sliightly larger cup size or not, at least on my left breast (the larger). The cup wrinkles slightly in a spot above my nipples, but is otherwise well filled. My breasts are close-set, and the gore tacks sort of but not entirely, that's what has me in doubt. The straps are wide, but have this scratchy edging. Aside from that it's a pretty good bra. And so pretty!
