Provides a natural, slightly uplifted shape. Great support, band has minimal stretch and has not stretched out over quite a bit of wear. The wire stays under the arm get a little stabby after 10-12 hrs of wear, but they provide excellent support. Beautiful pattern https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Overall, a comfortable and supportive bra. There are underwire side stays under the arms that can get a little stabby after wearing for 10-12 hours. Band does NOT stretch much over time, which is great! Provides gentle lift and shaping, but not the rounded look many of the Polish bras offer. The print is beautiful and the lace complements the print.
I normally wear a 30HH but since this style runs about a cup size too large I ordered the 30H. I had a lot of fit issues with this bra. For one, this bra style is very wide - the wires wrap around my sides and reach my back. Also the cups seem pretty shallow which isn't compatible with my narrow projected shape. The cups also feel a bit tall and positioned better for lower set breasts.
Overall, the style is functional and feels comfortable.
I feel like this is the first bra that has ever really fit me the way I want. i won't comment too heavily on the cups, as they are about 2 sizes too large. However the band is perfect. I've never been more comfortable in any bra. The under wires lie flat against my ribs without cutting in. The band secures everything to my torso without cutting in, and the straps, while very thick are phenomenal.
This was my first buy with freya and I was so impressed that I went and got 4 more the next week (in my correct size).
Controversial, but I like the look of this bra - the gore is free of those flippin' tiddly-tacked-on-bows (yay!). Sadly the bra's too small in the band and I was too lazy to return it so hey-ho. An unwelcome drawer-mate it remains.
I chanced it by buying a bra extender to try and get my money's worth out of the thing but no joy. The gore still doesn't lie perfectly flat and the cups are way too wide! I get that whole east-west nonsense going on and I'm the type that demands side-support and a more upfront (dare I say pointy?) shape.
Overall it's just not my type of bra, even if it did happen to fit. I demand uplift and I'm okay with that.
I got this secondhand in a 30H. I thought it would be fine (I normally wear a 32GG), but I think this must be an older Freya model as the band really isn't that stretchy like the new ones are.
This bra is absolutely beautiful and in great condition. However, I just don't think I can pull of 30 bands anymore, I am much more comfortable in 32 or tight 34s. The gore didn't lie flat and I had some quadding. I do think this maybe the correct shape, though. I do prefer the half cups over balcony bras, I've decided.
If I were looking to keep this bra, I'd swap it for a 30HH. I dislike how stretchy the band is, as I was easily able to hook it on the second column.
Like most bras, the straps on this one were a bit far apart for my frame; as usual, they begin just in the crease of my armpit. Likewise, the center gore is a touch too wide, but nothing surprisingly so. It may, in fact, be too narrow unless your breast tissue nearly meets in the center.
The three hooks are nice, however, as are the wider straps. This doesn't make up for the appallingly high center gore that the "extended cup sizes" get. There is no way on earth this qualifies as anything but a full-cup bra--the term 'balcony' is laughable. Since the fabric in the wings is extremely stretchy, the support is less than it should be from a full coverage bra, eliminating my last reason for trying the next cup size up. Into the returns box it goes....
My typical size in most bras is a 30GG. I decided to try the 30H in Patsy because I was getting some 'quadraboob' in the Freya Lauren padded half cup in the 32G. I am glad I sized up. I think the band is perfect and the I fill the cups without any overspill toward the top or the center. My only negative is that the sides come up a lot higher under my arms making this less comfortable than my 32G Freya half cups in @Totally Tartan and Lauren. The bright pink with blue polka dots is unusual, but not my cup of tea. I purchased this for the fact that it came in a 30H. Not a big polka dot or bright pink fan, but the fit under clothes is nice and uplifted, front and center.
I've had this bra for over a year now and it's one of my favourites (red colorway). It's classic Freya produce - dependable, thick-strapped, creating a natural rather than uplifted/rounded boob shape, and almost indestructible. The fabric is smooth, almost like swimwear, and the straps are very comfortable, but also very wide (you do not want to be wearing this bra under a strappy top).
I've altered the center gore, sewing it together, and after this small detail, the bra fits me perfectly (I am a larger 28HH/30H).
My cat scratched a small hole into the fabric of the cups about two weeks after I got it and the hole ...has stayed the same this entire time, never getting bigger (quite amazing). Also, once I forgot my sports bra before a workout and had to spend an hour jumping about in the Antoinette - and my boobs didn't spill even once!
All in all, I always reach for this bra when I am want to feel supported and secure. On the other hand, it cannot ever be called pretty or "delicate" - it's way too heavy-duty for that. Read more 78 more words
Love this! I like that it's bright without any fuss or frills. The cut gives me a much more rounded shape than a lot of Freyas. The cups have a little wrinkling at the bottom -- not sure if that's a shape issue or a size issue (I think they're just a bit shallow for me), but whichever, it's super comfy. I think I also have slightly too much center fullness.
Shape-wise the gore seems quite a bit lower than some of my other Freyas, and the cups also don't come as high (despite what I've noticed from some other reviews -- must be a shape thing). Band is much firmer than Freyas I'm used to -- I probably could have gone with 32GG. But it's not uncomfortably tight, just more than I'm used to.
This is one of those "it fits and it's ok" bras -- it's a sturdy, practical, everyday bra. I have it in white. the straps are really comfortable. It tacks and it fits well -- I have a tiny bit of extra space in the top of the cup but not enough to size down. It's not a thriller bra but the lift is pretty good (not very rounded but that's ok with me) and it's comfortable.
This bra is not what I expected nor would I have guessed it would fit with my shape but I actually quite like it! I would normally consider it too shallow for my shape -- and it *is* a bit shallow -- but I'm smooshy enough that it seems to work for me. I could probably stand to go up a cup size--I'm not quadding, but I spill to the center a bit and there's quite an impressive expanse of exposed skin out the top, not what I'm used to in the balconettes I usually wear. I think that would put the wires far too wide, though.
It's super comfy! Only 2 hooks, and I could probably use 3, but I confess I like how small and dainty it looks.
Edit: After a bit of wear decided the spillover was more than I was comfortable with. Returning it.
