The Freya Deco Vibe Moulded Plunge Bra (1704) seems like a nice, comfortable bra. I haven't yet worn it for longer than a few minutes as I only tried it on and the size I ordered was too big in the cups. At least, it was too big at this time of the month, I tend to fluctuate between cup sizes throughout the month.
First bra I ever tried that comes very close to fitting!
It's a very pretty bra, stretch lace with flowery design over mesh, non-stretch cups. The colour is magnificent, way prettier than in the pictures. A deep, yet bright blue. Very comfortable fabric, and it creates a nice, rounded shape. Looks absolutely stunning, both underneath clothes and on its own.
About the fit: I have very wide roots, and the cups on this bra fit wide enough. Probably way too wide if you have roots on the narrower side. Gore is relatively narrow and short and works with my center-full breasts. Projection-wise it's just a tad off, I think I ...need slightly more projection than this bra can provide, especially at the wires. They sit a bit below my IMF, just enough to become slightly uncomfortable with long wear. Overall, the cups fit the best I've ever encountered. No wrinkling, no spillage, no gore sitting on my breast tissue, no wires digging into the breast tissue that exists in my armpit. My breasts feel very well contained. The band unfortunately is too long for me (I'm on the smaller end of a 30 band), but as I don't require a ton of support it's worth keeping and wearing it on the second hook. I have ordered a 28F to try out as well, fingers crossed the cups will work as well as they did in the 30E! Read more 126 more words
Actually fit me very well in the cups but just didn't impress me with it's looks. The band is quite snug so it would be uncomfortable in summer. Also, it is tedious to do up five hooks.
The fit of this seems good, but it starts to dig after a while - specifically the tag, rings that connect the straps in the back, and the sides of the cups under the armpit. The shape of the cups are rather angular instead of round on me. Sizing up to 32DD helped these issues.
I'm currently between sizes 28E and 28F, so I decided to try a couple of Freya styles one cup size up. I have since found that the unlined balcony styles definitely run somewhere between TTS and a little large, so this was unnecessary for this style.
Note that the band on this style runs pretty big, so you may want to size down if you are on the smaller end of your band size. The cut of this style is the same as the Jasmine Meadow unlined and I suspect the same as the Fearne unlined as well. Please see my review for 28E for more details: https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dnepb/
Jewel Garden is one of my favorite Freya prints. I love that the watercolor petals are both soft and vibrant at the same time. I had tried this in my normal size of 28E in the Unlined Plunge, but unfortunately the shape didn't work for me. I discovered the Padded Half Cup and was able to find it in 30D (one size down) and 30E (one size up); I ordered both, but the 30D was cancelled, so I ended up with just this 30E.
This is a 3HC style and is basically the same cut as the new Patsy, or the cups of the Urban Echo ...Longline. It is slightly closed off, but not as closed off as as the Summer Haze, and the cup height is a little bit taller. Being one band size up, the band is a little loose on me, but not too bad. It stays in place without riding up, but isn't snug. Sometimes Freya 30 bands are like this on me, and sometimes they are ridiculously large. This one is on the firmer side. The band is made from printed powermesh with a gentle leotard back.
Currently, I have gained some additional upper fullness, and I am now in between sizes 28E and 28F. My leaning measurement is 28F, but it is all coming from increased upper fullness, so the width of 28E is still mostly the right size for me. This is just a bit too wide for me, about 1 cm, and a bit too tall in the cup, also about 1 cm. When I move, there is visible gapping at the upper cup. If the cup height were lowered to about 13 cm and the cup reduced in width slightly, the fit would be pretty good. I have a feeling that 28E/30DD in this style would run a bit small, as similar styles for me right now fit but have a bit of overflow from upper fullness if the cup is closed off. It's a good thing that the 30D didn't work out! I'll be keeping this as I really want Jewel Garden in my collection, and it was a great price. At this rate, I may end up fitting into this in a few months anyway.
Aesthetically, this is a simple and lovely rendition of a printed bra. The fabric is thin and silky, and the cups are lightly lined with thin foam batting. Both upper cup and lower cradle are trimmed with white eyelet lace. The print runs throughout the bra and topped on fabric decorates the straps. The rest of the bra is plain white. Straps are wide satin elastic with a picot edge, with small folded white bows at the strap attachment. The center gore decoration is a folded white bow with a small diamond shaped metal charm. If you like soft colors, give Jewel Garden a try! Read more 394 more words
This bra is perfect, I love the shape and feel. I've had it for quite a while now and it is holding strong. The only thing that is a bit annoying or disappointing, so that the cup line at the top is very noticeable under tight shirts, but it is more of an aesthetic thing than a fit thing.
It fits so well it feels too good to be true. The cups perfectly encapsulate me, offering support underneath and holding everything in place without squishing anything. When I first put it on, the band and gore felt a tiny bit snug but not uncomfortable, but throughout the day they seemed to become “broken in” and there were periods where I definitely forgot I had it on. I can feel the lace texture when I think about it, and the pressure of the gore and band sometimes when I bend over or take a deep breath, but even then, it’s not uncomfortable. I laid down on my stomach ...for a while, rolled over onto my side for a while, and then got up and went about my business without adjusting any part of my bra. That has never happened to me! And it’s gorgeous. It gives me a great outline, and under a fitted t-shirt, the lace doesn’t show at all, which I was worried about. Obviously beautiful without a shirt too. I feel like I’ve won the lottery on this one, I’m seriously considering filling my closet with these. All of that being said, I did wear this bra for one (1) day, but if it’s as sturdy as I hope, I could easily stock up on these. Read more 110 more words
About me: dense, center full and close set, bottom full but with tall, gradually sloping roots, so functionally even in some respects, narrow and projected.
I thought this bra would work! But after wearing it around the house for about an hour, my back and shoulders started to hurt (which doesn't happen when not wearing a bra or wearing one that fits well). The band is nice and snug and the cups fit decently well, but, at this size at least, the amount of projection at the gore wasn't enough for me. The bright colors really pop against the pure white background.
About me: full on bottom with tall, gradually sloping roots that make me functionally even in some ways, center full and close set, dense tissue, narrow and projected.
The bright teal color of this bra is beautiful! At this size, it cut in, so I'm hoping it will be a better fit at 30F. The fabric is nice.
Sexy and unique design on this bra in my opinion. The cups are firm in their shape. Though there is a flexibility to them, they are quite pre-molded to their shape. My breasts are shallow on the top, so at first I was worried that I would not fill out the top of this bra. Once I do a scoop and swoop it is in place and fits well. My biggest dislike with this bra is that after an extended period of time, I do not find it comfortable. The material the straps are made of probably contributes to the least comfortable element of the bra.
I love this bra if it werent for one huge con: the fabric. Its soooo itchy, its actually scratchy. It made my sensitive skin burn where the straps touched it. I love the high gore, almost straight beckline and lift this bra gives. The style, the color, the round, wide, slightly projected breasts are great. But i cannot stand it for 2 min!
This bra wasn’t quite right for me, I do love the stretch lace, the color and the fun gate back. But I had quadding. I have relatively high and soft tissue and almost all the cups with an elastic line end up with this cutting in on me.
This bra might work well for self-supporting or firm breasts. It kind of makes my soft/pendulous boobs look smooshed. I also wish they made this in a 28 band, because it's even more stretchy & long than other Freyas I've tried. I do appreciate the very slight padding (it's not substantial) for days I went a little more nip coverage.
This is another fail in my never-ending quest to find a t-shirt bra that fits. I love how this bra looks. The lightly gray and soft yellow lace accents are so pretty (and a nice alternative from a boring nude.) When I bought this bra online, I didn't realize that it was the same model as the Idol - which I had tried in 30E, 30F, 28F and 28FF - with no success. The band for the Freya is quite firm and the bra is very smooth in appearance. It disappears under a t-shirt, unlike the Deco which always seems to leave visible lines. Like the Freya Idol, I find this style a little too wide and shallow for me (quadding at the top, emptiness at the bottom). I am quite FOT and projected, so buying this bra may have been wishful thinking on my part. I love the look and the quality, but sadly this one is not for me. The quest continues.
UK brand t-shirt bras have never worked for me, which I had an easier time accepting when I was 25lbs heavier and bigger busted and really insanely projected for my size range, but it's kinda ridiculous now that I am in the 30F/32E range. I think they design their smooth molded cups to be too "flattening" in order to force a true round shape (no discernible apex at all) so for people who are especially center heavy and/or projected at the apex of the breast it just ends up not working. Are you in the USA or Canada? If you can find a place online or in store that sells a lot of Wacoal and Natori foam molded (unpadded) designs, some of them actually have really fantastic depth at the apex and are not super wide. You just have to investigate the different designs. Usually the ones that are only slightly plungey or else just a good old full cup will have the most projected shape. They all look SO much alike it is a bit confusing at first but if you keep track of the model names or numbers it's easier to discern if you are looking at a new and different design or not. They also run snug in the band so if you are a true 30 or even small 30/sometimes 38, their 30 bands should work quite well.
I really like this bra. It gives a nice shape. I do think it is a touch shallow for me or the wires aren't long enough or it isn't wide enough. I really don't know what the problem is but it gives me side boob.
I really like this bra. It is comfortable. Has nice set straps, not too wide. It might run a touch shallow. Also, not quite sure I measured the cup depth correctly so that may be off. I have tall shallow roots and I gape in almost every bra I have tried. While I also have slight gaping in this bra it is not noticeable under a shirt. So I would say it would be good for those with tall, shallow roots.
