    Didn't fit

This is the most beautiful bra, but also the smallest 30F I have ever tried.

From material to appearance, it's all pretty gorgeous. The design is just a perfect match for my pale skin. The band fits comfortably and the wire is also sturdy.

The center gore is 2.3 cm wide at top, 5.7 cm at bottom and 7.0 cm tall. Although it is too wide for a cleavage, but it looks just elegant and doesn't poke. It's also a friendly fit for splayed boobs.

Unfortunately the cups are only 23.5 cm deep. Normally for a 30F unpadded bra this measurement will be over 24 cm. I feel my boobs are forced onto the ribcage, squeezed out of the cup side and quadded at the cup top.

I wanna to size up to 30FF, but I'm not sure. I have so many bad experiences with Freya bras just because of their shallow and close cup tops. Any suggestions below are welcome.

    • I think it's not an ideal shape for you. Its cups are so closed off on top, they accentuate your bottom fullness and don't make justice to upper fullness.

    • Orange_Kate
Actually I think this bra is too small rather than a shape mismatch for me. The bottom is also not round filled.

    • Oh it is beautiful! Freya has some of the most beautiful soft cup bras, but oh man they never work for me no matter what size I try. They always look so pointy. They make me feel like I’m wearing a 1950’s bullet bra lol.

    • Happy2BraShop
I have also tried Fantasie Side Support before, this model has much pointier cups than Freya unpaddeds. It even didn't work very well on my conical shape.

I think Freya soft cups are more likely to fit extremely FoB boobs. The unlined Fancies cut just like this bra is a seldom one that can generally provide a good fit for most people. So I choosed it.

  2. Rhea is another addition to the Freya Fancies line. It is, for all intents and purposes, Fancies with an embroidered upper cup and standard band construction instead of the gate back. While sometimes styles based on other blocks will end up fitting differently due to different materials used, I feel that Rhea and Fancies fit almost identically despite some construction differences.

Since Fancies is probably my favorite bra ever (judging by the fact that I own 8+ of them), I was so pleased to find out that Rhea shares the same block. There was virtually no info available at the time I ordered it, so I ... just bit the bullet and ordered blindly thanks to Amazon's free returns policy.

Like Fancies, Rhea is a 3 piece cup made from lightweight rigid lace. The pattern is different, as Rhea has a more traditional rose pattern on an open background. The upper cup is the same rigid lace embroidered with pretty pink and green wild roses, but thankfully lined with soft tulle to eliminate scratchiness against the skin. The upper edge doesn't have stretch, but is fairly flexible. This differs from Fancies, which has an upper cup made from super lightweight stretch lace with a band of soft stretch elastic, but I find that they fit the same. I think this is because Fancies is such a good cut on me, but YMMV depending on your roots and how the upper cup fits you.

The band is a nice sturdy stretch mesh plain band, similar to Cleo Marcie, Lucy, etc. Back hook panel is on the wider side, and I feel that the band runs TTS for Freya bands. The straps on Rhea are much narrower plain elastic, and there's a small section of a twinned satin strap in the front for appearances. I wish they had used a wider elastic or textured elastic, as I worry the straps will slip easily. The other odd detail is that instead of a bow, the center gore is decorated with . . . a small piece of ribbon looped through a rose gold bra slider. Why??? There's no rose gold hardware anywhere on the bra, as all the sliders are black plastic. And why a slider as a detail??? Despite Freya's penchant for unusual center gore decorations, this one takes the cake.

Anyway, despite some minor annoyances, Rhea is a pleasant surprise and a welcome addition to my collection.

This is a bad shape for me, and too large of a size. My breasts fill out the bottom of the cup, with just a bit of extra space and loose fabric on the side. The top is too big, except for the top edge is cutting in and causing some minor quadboobing. It seems like if it was a proper size and fit, it would give me a rounded shape. The top of the cup is not stretchy. There are some loose ends on the embroidery.

  4. As much as I thought I liked a bra with simple lines, apparently I am a sucker for pretty, floral embroidery, and this bra has it. I have heard that Freya Rhea is made on the Fancies framework, which may be, as I haven't tried it, but my other currently best fitting bra is Freya Hero, and the fit is not too different. Like Hero, which also claims to be a plunge but is really only plunge-ish, the gore is a bit high for my very close set boobs, but it just makes it without being uncomfortable. The three part cup gives a fairly natural shape. I don't ... have a lot of volume on top, so no problem with quadding, but the cups and edge of Rhea are non-stretch lace, which could make it problematic for someone more top-full. The non-stretch lace does have the benefit of making the bra feel firmer and more supportive. I am short, and I think my roots are fairly short as well, so for me at least, this bra has a lot of coverage for a plunge, like Hero. The rose gold center ornament is a little weird - it does look like a bra slider - but I can live with it. Overall, a supportive and comfortable bra, with that pretty embroidery that makes it just a little better than your average black bra.
