    Didn't fit

I have a shallow/wide root. I ordered this knowing a 30 band would be too big, and indeed I can comfortably wear it on the tightest hooks, but I intend to alter it eventually to reduce the elasticity.

The cups fit the same as the 28F Just Flew In longline on me - I don't 100% fill them out (better right before my period), but the wires are the right width, and the top of the cups are nice and open, a good cut for shallow shapes.

The cups have 2 vertical seams that show slightly under a thin T-shirt, but I don't mind since overall it gives a nice rounded shape.

Note: the 30 band has 3 columns of hooks (whereas the 28 Just Flew In had only 2). It has really pretty fabric shoulder straps, whereas both the Ivy and Just Flew In longlines have ugly, wide "industrial-strength" elastic straps.

  2. I only recently got this bra but so far I love it. I feel like my breasts look fabulous in it. While my band size is actually between 31" and 32", I went for the 30FF because I'm finding that with some other bras that I've tried with a 32 band, I sometimes have to use the middle hook right away to get a good snug fit.
This bra (at the time) was the closest in containing the sideboob area, while at the same time, it brings my breasts closer together in the front without squishing them.
This bra is also one of the least quadboob-inducing bra that ... I've tried on! I also feel really supported, maybe because of the long-line style.
The only thing I don't like is having to hook up so many hooks! But I would definitely buy another Freya bra, because I feel really great wearing it.

[ETA]: Aaand not much later, I get tons of quadboob. Turns out this bra is too shallow for me and my breasts are not as wide and as shallow as I thought. I ended up getting a 30G which fits better, but still a tad wide. But I love the longlines too much to give them up lol.

Tried this on in a Debenhams, didn't buy it in the end as after wearing it for a few (..ahem, ok, maybe 20-30 minutes I was agonizing over whether to get it or not, plus trying to attract attention from a fitting lady to get some advice etc!) minutes the underwires in the central gore had rubbed on the middle of my chest causing red marks and pain. Such a shame as fitted PERFECTLY elsewhere...very supportive fitting underband, lovely fitting cups...part of me is wondering if I would get used to it over time or if I just needed to readjust straps etc to allow the underband of the bra to sit lower down, this pulling the gore and wires down...hmm. Shame.

I love the style of this bra, and it looks great. I haven't had good luck with Freya, but I really wanted this one. The wires are unfortunately too narrow for me, and I really need a 28 band anyway. This bra is evenly padded, and does not have push-up padding. Gives a nicely rounded, projected shape.

Beautiful cut and fabric - very smooth. At first when I tried it on, I thought it was a good fit, but was annoyed at the extra fabric below the underwires curling up. After not being too keen on the look very much, I did it on the tighter hook and discovered I could do it up on the tightest to get the most support. On the tightest hook the curling of the fabric below the cups wasn't a problem, but I would definitely need a 32GG in this bra, which doesn't exist. I am going to try take it in somehow to make the band smaller. Having said that, it does give a good shape and it is a lovely comfortable bra.

UPDATE March 2013: Since tissue migration, I'm now a 32H/HH. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Even if I had been able to alter the band on the 34G, the cups would be at least a cup size too small.

Six hooks! Six hooks are awesome. I get no back/side flab and can loosen the shoulder straps to the point where they are basically decoration. The extra hooks mean that I'm not getting the cutting into my ribcage that I was with other 30 bands (more of an issue with Panache than Freya). It gives an attractive, rounded shape.

I can't decide whether it's true love though.

It takes a bit of shimmying in the morning to get it in the right position. I assume this is because the band so reliably stays where it's put that I have to be careful where I put it. The front elastic folds up during the day and this problem is only getting worse. I think the first time it was fine because the elastic was fresh but as it stretches out it folds more. I'm sure there's some fix though I object on principle to having to alter bras in ways like this.

  7. Very comfortable, provides wonderful lift and encases all breast tissue on the sides with no signs of migration or gaping near sides, top or bottom.

The fabric is very soft to the skin and the cups are flexible with no padding or molding.

Since it is a longline bra, and due to different sitting/bending positions, the fabric on the front of the band of the bra tends to roll/fold up, but the back stays put. And the straps needed a little tightening for me as the right one would often slip.

The band isn't too snug or too lose. The gore is a bit long and sits high; however, due to the shape and make of the bra it isn't uncomfortable nor does it poke. The gore is just under an inch wide and sits between both breasts comfortably.

The print is lovely. If you look closely, it's small white squares with a dot inside some of them. It's geometrically fun (if that makes sense). The biscotti color scheme and the white lace detailing is absolutely beautiful and is not tacky in any way (I may actually recommend this bra as a "nude" for tanner skinner people).

The back band closes in 3 rows of 6 hooks - that's one extra row than the Freya Piper longline!! I must admit, the stretchy band does leave more to be wanted, but I feel like the extra set of hooks makes up for this. Mind ... you, I am a 26.5" underbust and I think that the Freya Carys is stretchy. This may actually mean that it is true to size and that I am a fool for thinking I could McGyver this bra into a smaller backband without a sewing machine.

The vertical seaming on the cup is wonderful for full on top/shallows and, to me, the Freya padded halfcup style is unrivaled by the Freya unpadded balconette styles. (However, I did briefly try the Freya Ginny and I can't say the same about the diagonal seam on that padded halfcup).

*** Also, the straps aren't the traditional ugly Freya straps. They match the pattern on the bra body and they're smooth and thin with a slight padding - very comfortable and don't dig in!

    Didn't fit

This bra is adorable and very comfortable. This was my first bra in the "correct" size, and my first venture outside the typical Victoria's Secret styles and department store brands. I purchased it in the largest cup size available (32G) but after wearing it a few times I have realized that I need to size up to a 32GG. Also, the back band is quite stretchy so I could have used a 30H! However, even with the sizing issues, this bra is extremely supportive and easy to wear all day. If I wear it on the last hook I have no issues with band support, but as it stretches out I may have to take it in.

It gives a nice round and lifted shape, which is exactly what I look for in a bra. I wish Freya would make this style in larger cup sizes!
