Nice fit, but a bit pointy. I think it will break in to a bit of a nicer shape. The centre gore is too wide, but I like that it and the wing height are high; it encases the breast tissue better. I like the side support, although my soft breasts bulge a little.
This is a cup size down from my usual for Fantasie. The fabric of the cup is a bit stretchier than my beloved Jana, and the top edge of the lace is pretty forgiving. Nice thick straps, sturdy band. I absolutely love the delicate floral print. It's great with my 50's repro. dresses. The straps and lace are a lovely creamy off-white that suits my skin tone well. Rounder, higher profile than Jana.
More projected than I am used to, cup material a little thin for my nipple coverage preference, and edge of cup makes a line under solid/light-colored shirts - but the fit for this bra is outta this world for me!
This bra is very pretty, and it feels well-made, but it just doesn't work for me. It's fractionally too closed-in on top (which I can just about tolerate), and it's a tiny bit too shallow at the bottom (which I could put up with) but the shape it gives me is just horrendous - only one (very small) step short of the full Madonna effect. It will do for days (like today) when all my other bras are in the wash, but I wince every time I catch a glimpse of my reflection!
I love this bra! I only got it yesterday but out of all the bra's iv'e worn this one fits the best, it's a really pretty bra, it doesn't come up as much a the side support, the only problem I think I might have is low swoop neck shirts but should be fine with a v-neck though! I don't know how it goes in the long run but I recommend it now!!!
I have two others of this bra, yet this one doesn't quite fit right. The dimensions are supposedly the same but I find I can't fill this one out fully. The reason: the center gore stretches out a bit further on this one. Lying flat, it looks the same, but it stretches out whereas the other two's center gore does not stretch.
Band: As someone whose comfortable rib measurement is 28 inches, I wish Fantasie Rebecca came in a 28 band. I've had to wear it on the closest setting from the very beginning. Initially I was worried that I would be able to wear this bra for very long, but fortunately, it is a very high quality bra with a band that hasn't stretched out much in nearly 7 months. I can put an entire hand and stretch out a bit more nonetheless. I might consider altering the band because a tighter fit would make me feel a lot more secure.
Wing height: As someone who has a ...lot of breast tissue beneath the arm pits and back, it would have been nice if the band were taller. The wing height itself is fine right by the underwire, but as it graduates down as it wraps toward the back, I find at least a good inch of tissue that could have benefited from being captured within the bra.
Shoulder straps: The shoulder straps are fantastic, very sturdy and comfortable, and strong. They adjust the whole length, do not dig in, and do not stretch out.
Underwire width: My breasts are wide but do not project so much. The underwire is wide enough to completely encapsulate the breast tissue, which is all the more important since the wings are too short and the band a little loose to contain the breast tissue.
Cup depth: I am a little shallow on top, so I was worried about gapping. Fortunately, the straps and the spacer bra do a great job of providing support and conforming to the breast shape. Hence, a great t-shirt bra. A very functional bra.
Center gore: It rests nicely flat for the most part although I am aware that the gore rises very high and at times feels as if it's digging into my breast tissue since my breasts are closely set.
Fit under T-shirts: Great. Very smooth. No gapping. Gently rounded contour, that is, not artificially semi-circular, but very full and rounded.
Overall, I liked it enough that I just purchase two more in the same size. Read more 247 more words
This is very close to a full cup bra, moulded but not padded. The fabric used in the cups is quite thin and a bit stretchy which makes it very comfortable to wear if you don't like that typical hard moulded cup material. The only downside is that it doesn't keep your nipples hidden that well. I think the cup suits best women with full-on-bottom breasts.
The center gore comes quite high up and it separates the breastes nicely. The band is very firm and the band wings just next to the cups don't stretch at all (about an inch on both sides). The straps are half adjustable. One of the best things in this model is that the straps are sewn very close together in the back so that it feels very secure and the straps won't fall off.
This bra gives a very natural, a bit of a minimizing east/west look and feels secure and fit. It's probably my favourite bra at the moment.
For the most part this fits pretty well. However, the center gore doesn't quite lie flat against my chest, its close but my breast tissue gets in the way and the wires end up sitting on top. I think the center wires just come up a bit to high for my shape.
Not a good shape for shallow and wide breasts. The wire is wide enough but the cup depth is too deep. Everything else fits. I can fill the bottom of the cup and the rest of the bra is perfect except for the extra fabric and creasing in the top of the cup. I'll save this bra in case it fits me during pregnancy.
I also bought this bra thinking the fabric is stretch mesh, but it's not. The straps are 3/4 of an inch wide.
Wires are a good width for me, lace doesn't cut in on top. Band pretty generous, but not as bad as Freya. I almost discounted Fantasie on the grounds it's a sister to Freya (bra disaster for me) - glad I didn't!
Edit: after a few wears I'd say that this is one of my best-fitting bras. I do feel a little matronly in it though - if Fantasie cut the upper section lower, made the straps narrower (0.5 would be perfect), and perhaps varied the fabric and print, it'd be my dream bra. As it is, I try to wear it under clothes where it won't show through (I have it in white - perhaps it looks less frumpy in the colours and black).
I've had this bra for years. It has always been and remains comfortable, and the lace has never been scratchy. The top lacing has held up beautifully throughout many washes. The strap has become slightly loose with time but not too much. I appreciate the elastic on the sides of the cups, as not all bras have this detail to prevent loose fabric by the armpit. My only complaint is that this bra is not the greatest root lifter, and more lifts from the sides.
First foray into a proper fit. I fixed the center front poking by sliding the underwires toward the armpit and putting some stitches in the casing. My problem is that I'm short, with high-set bust, so once I got the straps tight enough, I can't move my arms forward without rubbing up against the straps uncomfortably. I suspect I should avoid the full-coverage cup, since I'm bottom-full and look for a balconette type style. The straps don't slip off too badly, but they aren't super great either. Conclusion: Less awful than the 32As I used to wear, but room for improvement exists.
First bra that really fits. So difficult to find sizes below 32 in band. Having a bra that fits actually makes my chest look smaller, which for me is a good thing. Not too granny-ish.
