    60K

    Didn't fit

Okay got my bra...this is just a preliminary review (or maybe this is the actual one. lol). I'll add some more once I've worn the bra for a full day so I can get a better idea with regards to the fit.

So the bra is all over lace but it is lined with an inner mesh, non-stretch on the bottom of the cup and some stretchy fabric at the top. The maximum cup depth was measured by stretching the cup over the knee. This was recorded at 14 inches. The minimum cup depth was measured by hovering the cup between the knees and hanging the tape measure. This ... was recorded at 12 inches. Unstretched the band measured 22 inches, while stretched it was 27.5, making it TTS (i think) for a 28 band.

I got the 60K because I read that the Klejnot runs bigger in the cup and I wanted to try the 60 band to see if it would work. Did it work? The band did, I actually have it hooked up to the loosest setting and it's quite comfy. However the cups are a bit of an issue. Which, after I measured I was like, that's why. When I tried it on, the first thing I realised was a bit of some flattening (?) along the part where the stretchy mesh is, and then some quadding along the outer lace section. This is for the bigger breast. So no surprise there I guess. But what really got me, was that I was seeing the same flattening at the top of the small breast also. In addition to this, the bra doesn't tack. It stands about a finger's width away from my sternum. But if I'm being honest, a bra tacking has never been a deal breaker for me.

And all this being said it is still a wonderful bra. The issues aren't really visible under a shirt, so eh, (well *I* can see them, but that's because I know it's there). It still can be worn and it's still comfortable (well my few minutes of wearing it, anyways), so it's not a loss. Just not quite right.

It does make me curious, however, on whether or not I should try a 60KK. I thought about it in passing before, but now I'm actually wondering. I do feel a bit more secure with this one, but not overwhelmingly so when compared to my half-lace BM. (although I do feel I may have a preference towards the full lace option)

    Also. Gravity-defying boobs!

Side Note: I'll add pictures later whenever I get the chance.

Bummer that it's a bit small in the cup. My Klejnot did run larger for sure. Maybe mine was a fluke though, instead of thr norm? I would definitely say go with the 60KKs! I still swear your breasts are a bit larger than mine, so a 60KK will fare better. Maybe even a 60L, especially for some models thst are firmer/snugger in the cup.

    • 2

haha a 60L sounds huuuge ( I understand there are some models that will fit smaller though). But yes, the 60KK is looking like a sound bet. I'm just worried if I ask Kaska about it, they'll tell me no (considering it's not listed on their website). But you never know until you try.

It seems to be that way, or maybe it was at a time when the cups were running deeper?

The good thing is that, I can wear still wear it and it's not horribly small.

    • 5

Frazzleberry You can always pull the "but my friend has this bra" trick... Kaska told me no on a 60K but I said "my friend has this and I want it" and she said ok. Very strange. Maybe she just says no sometimes just to see if you will push back?

    • Sovavosi aaah that works then ;)

    • 1

good to know I'll have something to say, in case she says no (double posting, sorry..but I apparently have jumpy fingers that select add comment without finish typing, and the option to edit the previous comment isn't appearing)

    • 1

True! I just looked at your measurements, and there are several differences compared to the one I got, not just the depth. Your cup is shorter, plus your wires and gore are wider. The wider wire will make the cups less projected, and in turn smaller as well. One of us got a rouge bra for sure!

You can confidently order the 60KK. Kaśka will say yes to any BM in the 60KK, I have never been told no, with 18 in that size so far. No worries with that one. In fact, I had it confirmed that a 60L BM is also possible. She doesn't recommend it, but will still do it. :-)

    • 1

MamaPagan I realised that as well... I was like o.O well something's not right the whole time I was measuring. lol. The funny thing about the wires is that it doesn't seem that much wider when wearing it, but I guess that also goes hand-in-hand with the lower cup depth? Or am I off-base there?

Oh that's great to know about the 60KK (^_^)

    • 1

Yes, with Ewa's bras I don't really notice much difference between the 6" & 6.25" wires *if* the depth is enough, but when it's too small to begin with it's more noticeable. With Comexim on the otherhand, 6" to 6.25" becomes a deal breaker on fit haha!

    • 1

Yes, with all the things I read about comexim, I can understand a difference in wire width being a problem.

    • 1

MamaPagan looking back at your other 60K BMs I noticed that the measurements are at least around a 15, so I'm wondering if mine was the fluke.

Side note re: the gore tacking, it also doesn't have that overlapping gore on the inside..so that would contribute to it also.

    • 1

I had noticed both as well Frazzleberry. The gore being wider is very odd for Ewa, as they should always overlap slightly at minimum per Kaska in our range. I have gotten a few oddly smaller cup depths before myself though, so while disappointing for you, it doesn't surprise me completely.

With this one and Bibi Black & Flamenco, it's as if the upper lace is sewn on looser & more open in comparison, making them more spacious and accommodating.

That actually makes me nervous, as I cannot do gores that wide, so I hope my orders don't get filled by that seamstress. :-/

I wonder if it's worth mentioning to Kaska?

    • 1

*crosses fingers* I hope it doesn't get filled by that seamstress either. They don't overlap but the top or the wire channels do touch. So maybe it won't be too bad? :/ (I know I'm probably reach here)

Oh, I see. That does makes sense. I think the problem for me is that stretch matterial under the upper lace section. There's only so much and no more stretch it can accommodate.

    • 2

Just a thought, my new Bibi Black also has very loose top lace. The old one did not.

    • 1

Hmm.. this does make it a bit difficult in deciding which size to go for when ordering. But seeing as it tends towards a more open lace, I wonder if I should try another 60K in the BM Bibi Black this time?

    • 2

I think honestly the Bibi Black construction is kinda wonky and the make inconsistent. If I were you I'd consider going for one of the other lace BMs and maybe order the 60KK?

Just as an example, I got the Bibi Black in 70FF knowing it runs larger in the cup. What I got tho is a pretty shallow at the wire bra that is effectively smaller than my other 70FF and keeps sliding down. I thought the cup would stretch with wear like my old Bibi Black did... but nope.

    • 1

brasaremean Ahhh, okay. I guess I really should do the 60KK, I have no idea why I'm avoiding it, when I already have the 65K and that works, so they should theoretically have the same volume..

    • 2

      Indeed they most likely do.

    • 1

Frazzleberry, I am confident you shouldn't order smaller than the 60KK. Even if you get one that's a bit more open on top, it would be better for you, a future bra to grow into, instead of another one that's too small, right? You have plenty of the too small bras already.

@brasaremean That is interesting that the top was more open than the other.

I did order Flamenco in a 60KK to compare it, even though I can still wear thr 60K one. I also have both Klejnot and Bibi Black on my bottomless wish list in 60KK for the same reason. :-)

What will be most frustrating for me is our sizes are custom and not returnable, so if we get a wild seamstress, the result can catastrophic at our expense.

I hope Ewa isn't becoming like Comexim and unreliable. .....

    • 1

The more I think about it the more I realise MamaPagan the difference between 70FF and G shouldn't be this big! Idk how I feel about it lol. I guess it depends on the whims of seamstresses.

    • 1

And that is scary, and expensive! !
Yet at our propensity for growing instead of shrinking, I do think a bit big is far better than a bit small at this point for us all.

    • 2

Very expensive, I have spent more than I care to admit on Ewa bras and it stings lol.

    • Me too, so believe me, I feel your pain!

    • 1

MamaPagan I do think it's probably one of those 1 in 10 chances where you receive an off-size. Or at least, I hope so.

    • 1

aaah why do I take so long to type brasaremean I didn't see you post, and the responses that came after.

This does appear worrying. I'm limited to one order at a time due to my customs duty limit but when I do conversion rates. one bra is pretty expensive in and of itself for my country's currency, so I can understand where you're coming from.

    • 2

Frazzleberry There is at least one rogue seamstress, I have BM Grace in 60JJ and it had 6.5" wires, and made it super wide and shallow. I want to order that bra again but scared I'd get her making it.

    • 1

Frazzleberry I'm in the same boat, but I'm limited to 2 per order. Still tho, paying for their stupid (illegal) Paypal fee, then shipping, then extra for the straps it adds up. I don't mind tho, I just wish the strap thing didn't make the bras non-returnable.

    • 2

brasaremean ah man that paypal fee. It's really high, it takes an expensive but affordable bra into the higher region. But if there are two things I'm willing to spend money on, it's bras and food, lol.

Sovavosi I can see how that will be a problem. I wonder if it's the same rogue seamstress who swapped out the colours (the black with the brown) on the La Gloria? But those measurements were at least consistent right?

    • 1

pictures up on the main page for 60K...but they're spaced between the other pics so the order is a bit messed up :/

    • 1

With all these oddities, how much do you want to bet Ewa has a newer seamstress? Maybe one that left Comexim....this would explain a lot.......? ;-) :-| :-o :-(

    • 1

Definitely a new seamstress. Hopefully things will get better as there's always a bit of a learning curve on the job.

    • 1

Frazzleberry and brasaremean One way to avoid the Ewa Paypal usage fees (& paypal conversion fee) would be to order them through Magda. With the customs import fee factor, I'd really suggest you ask Magda for a quote for 1-2 Ewa bras , letting her know the customization need (size &/or and straps) and see how it compares. With all the fees involved her price with shipping is likely to be lower thsn Ewa's, and with the potential of fully trackable shipping. Just a thought!

    • 1

      And 100% agreed Frazzleberry!

    • 2

Just saw the "pictures are up" comment-how did I miss that one?!?

Wow! Ummmmm, makes a great date bra for sure! Knockout cleavage. Max capacity has been exceeded for sure, wow.

Sadly, if you were to ask Ewa, I'm sure she would say it fits perfectly! O.o ......... My boobs look so tiny pinned nexted to yours now, haha! :-D

Definitely do not order smaller than a 60KK, and if this is the new norm for the 60K, and above cups follow suit, I'd say 60L or 60LL to get a decent fit with proper coverage.

    • 1

MamaPagan that is definitely an option (re: trying Magda). So whenever next I'm ordering, I'll ask her about it.

haha, maybe it's just the angle? I try to get it directly in front, so...idk..But yes lots of oomph on that one, lol. I'm actually wearing it right now and I'm seeing quadding through my blouse so I definitely won't be going lower than a 60KK.

I'm hoping I can find a good midground with it, because I don't think my smaller breast would be able to manage anything higher than that.. I know everyone always says to fit the larger one..but I can compromise with a good midground.

We'll see when I order the 60KK...hopefully this won't be the new norm for the 60K though, because I don't even want to think about how that will affect the other sizes.

(I'm crossing my fingers even more now, that Nazeli turns out to be a good option)

    • 1

Agreed Frazzleberry ! And honestly, you need to do what makes you most comfortable in regards to asymmetry. If fitting to the larger side isn't what you're comfortable with, then it is fine to go with a middle ground, especially with the BM and SF styles & that stretchy lace. :-)

    • 1

Stretch lace is my ultimate love. lol. It just works so well.

    • 1

Agreed! It is bra bliss. :-)

    • 2

Gotta admit tho, the lift is tons better than Bezowa Perla!

    • 2

      And support!

    • haha yes brasaremean the lift is much better that the Bezowa Perla, and the support is about two levels higher than the Perla. I think because the material has less give than the Bezowa Perla/mixed with the overall construction.

Granted, after I adjusted the Bezowa Perla, The lift was better / not as great as this, but I guess a more natural lift? Support for the Perla (after adjustments) was on par with my Jasmine also.

    • 1

Frazzleberry Another thought worth mentioning is that the cups can (& most likely will) stretchout, so with a bit of wear this one should fit a bit better. I just pulled mine out & remeasured the band and cup-band hasn't stretched out but the cups now measure a full inch larger to a max of 16" so I am confident yours will as well. The base of this cup has more flexibility than most of my BMs as well.

    • 1

MamaPagan that's good to know. Funny thing is, if the under layer had as much stretch as the outer lace, I don't think I'd be having this problem. Because the upper lace section does (as you all have said) seem to have been sewed looser than the other sections.

But that's great to know it can stretch to fit.

    • 1

I know what you mean, I would love full stretch cups, but do realize it would lessen the lift abilities and support of the cup, so it's a trade off for sure. (And I have actually asked Kaska about full stretch cups. She said a strong no. :-/)
Half is better than none though, and the base does have some flexibility, so wear it with the intention of stretching those cups out!! :-D

    • 1

Full stretch cups would be great but I do understand the need for a structured base, so I'll take that trade-off 😉. I was actually talking about the upper section with the stretch fabric underneath the lace. Sorry, I didn't explain it properly 🙈. I'm not sure what that material is called. I guess that's the stretchy knitwear fabric she mentions in the description?

I do plan on wearing it, with the hope that it stretches though.

    • 2

I can tell you all my bras stretched a bit after a cold water wash.

    • 1

Great! (Who kneew cups stretching would be a good thing, lol) Is it just the all over lace BM, or the half lace too?

Because I've washed my Bezowa Perla, a few times already and haven't seen any noticeable stretching. Wait nevermind..I tend to wash it in warm water so that could be why.

    • 2

I never noticed any stretching on the bottom of the cup. I've had the top of the cups stretch out though (Sofia).

    • 2

Not the half laces, just the full lace. But not by a significant amount stretch though, Just ever so slightly--but you never know it might be enough. I also tend to leave my bras in cold water for way longer than the 15 minutes recommended on Soak... who knows if that plays a part.

Sovavosi it sucks hearing Sofia has so many fit (and now stretching) issues. I wanted that bra SO bad.

    • 1

Wait, did you notice any shrinking in warm water Frazzleberry ? Cause I just might wash mine in warm water if that's the case haha.

    • 1

Aw man and the Sofia is so pretty too. I really like people bras.

@brasaremean , I soak my bras waaay longer than 15 minutes too. I tend to forget I'm washing them so they're soaking for longer than necessary 🙈

    • brasaremean , I haven't noticed any difference

    • 1

      By some logic

      cold -> stretch
      warm -> shrink

I shall test this theory out even though I just did my braundry. Tomorrow.

    • 1

brasaremean The stretching is actually a good thing with Sofia, when I first got it it cut into my roots near the strap. It's fine now. I also live in a state where cold water coming out of the tap only exists Dec-Feb, so not really possible test that most of the time :)

    • A lot of my cups seem to stretch, but maybe it's just the size/weight of my breasts, or that they are "bullies" towards the cups. :-D
I wash mine in cold water (washing machine in bra bags) then often do a quick hit in the dryer to take some of the dampness away in the same bra bags before hanging them from my bra tree. [Don't judge me. I can hear all the thoughts in your heads! ;-) ]

    • What kind of dryer do you have? I actually have a program on mine for 'delicates' but I'm still scared it'll kill the elasticity in the bras.

    • I have a Frigidaire Affinity a ton of settings (bulky, normal, causual, timed, plus max, high, normal, low, air dry fir temp level, then high, normal, low, damp for dry level.

@Frazzleberry The mesh is called tulle by the way.

    • 1

      Thanks MamaPagan.

@brasaremean I *think* they should be good if you put it in the bra bags on the delicate setting. I did that for my non-EM bras and they were fine. (I hand wash the EMs especially the Perla because I find the lace on it very soft and don't want to damage it)

    • Mine don't get damaged in the wash, it's the post wash traumas, like not hooking the bra closed before shoving them in drawers, getting them too close to my Royce Sports bra velcro, my shirts/arms rubbing against them...ugh, I am rough on my bras!

    • 1

Haha MamaPagan I know that struggle quite well. The hooks from my bras are always snagging onto the lace of another

    • 1

Yes! Thank you! Glad to know it's not just me. :'-/

    • 1

okay so and update. the cup materials seem to have stretched, so quadding reduced a bit, but, oddly enough, I feel like the outer wires may be resting on my breast tissue (then again if the cup is too small it wouldn't be odd). I just can't tell for sure.

    • 1

You can tell when you take off the bra and see wire marks!

    • 2

Wire marks where? I always have marks everywhere.

    • 1

For me it leaves very distinct wire marks on the sides of my body so it's easy to tell if it's on breast tissue.

    • brasaremean yep, that's why I say that, because of the marks I see, it looks right about on it...but at the same time I'm wondering if it's just part of the regular tissue, instead of breast tissue (since it's borderline)

    • 1

A disclaimer with those marks though: when the bra is on- and especially when the cup is too small-the breast tissue can and will be squished towards those wires, so when you take the bra off the marks may not look like they are on the tissue even if they were while the bra is on. Better test in this case is to palpate around the wire while the bra is on, to feel the tissue. If you can reach inside the cups at the wire, you should be able to tell.

    • 1

aaah kk thanks MamaPagan that helps ;)

    60K

    Fits

BM Klejnot is an unpadded black lace with silver-grey flowers on it. Like all BMs, it has stretch lace on the top horizontal section, and normal non stretch material in two sections below. It also has a wedge area that connects the straps to the cup, so 4 sections in all. The band has no lace on it, and as with most Ewa bras without lace on the band, it is a bit stretchier than it should be. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops, which appears to be standard for my size range. The BM tends to run larger in the cup than Ewa’s ... padded bras, and it is usually advised to order a size down from your normal Ewa size.

For specifics, the band measures 22.25” and stretches to 29” which is a bit more than expected of a 28 band. The cups have a width of 6” (standard), a height of 10.3” (taller than usual), and a width of 12.3” to a max of 15”. The 12.3” is measured with the cup hovered between the knees and the tape measure lightly placed in the cup without any resistance, while the 15” is measured by placing the cup over the knee (with tape measure still in the cup) and then stretching the cup over the knee as far as it will go. I feel this gives you a true representation of both the minimal and maximum that the cup will hold. Since the database only allows for one measurement, I am opting to enter the max, as I feel it is more important of a figure than the flat conservative measurement. As for the gore, it has a height of 4.25” and is spaced at .44” wide.

For me, this one fit like the BM Bibi Black, with a soft tack and a comfortable natural looking fit. I am almost tempted to try this one in a cup smaller to see if the shape becomes more rounded, as the stretch lace on top should allow more flexibility before quadding. In comparison, BM Kleks was a tighter feeling fit in both the cup and band (being a full lace band it was expected) and definitely couldn’t be sized down, and if anything should be sized up in the cup. To compare to Ewa’s half lace cup of BM Bibi Czarny Tulipan, I got that one in a cup size larger and it fits a bit snugger in the cup than this Klejnot.

Overall, Ewa’s straps are wider set than I’d prefer, but it’s more of the high straight curve of the cup side that’s the issue. If they were shaped more curved like a ”J” than straight like “/” I feel it would be less of an issue for most high set & narrow shouldered women. It’s what I call the jumping the curve instead of rounding the corner issue.

The cups seem almost rounder than my last few BM attempts. It has more of a pre-2018 construction to me. I always got a rounded, yet east-west look, which is possibly why I didn't care for the BM's before ha.
    Band felt firm too.
Just an okay for me. I wouldn't try it again in a bigger size :/

It's no longer available anyway, so it's a good thing you aren't wanting it larger. 😄 Fits like the 60KKs though, right?

Yes! But also, not quite as large. It's weird haha

It's like the top is more open. Definitely not a TTS 60K that is for sure.

Yep. It fits similar to the red half lace Bibi. It has the more rounded shape, but the seams of this one and Bibi cut in more than the newer BM's. Not sure what they fixed, but it works for me! :)

    • I don't think it's a newer vs older model thing, I think it's a seamstress and fabric flexibility thing. 😄

    • It could be! :)
