    Didn't fit

Morgan…I’ve tired so many variations and I swore the last time was the last time but here we are.

Actually, I think the 34JJ is actually the best fit I’ve ever had in the Morgan. I was surprised that the bottoms barely wrinkled and had enough projection at the wire. The cups are a little tall, but honestly
I’m okay with it; I know typically the bras I wear are lower coverage, but I actually like this one being more full coverage because I felt more secure. The coverage actually reminds me more of like a sports bra. The band was a good fit as well. The only main ... issue I noticed was the gore, it floats maybe a centimeter or less, but it’s probably because it’s too wide and tall for me. The wires are long and tall and dug in a little on my side. Also, the cups themselves are wide so there’s empty fabric, but I could look past that if it was comfortable.

I’m actually considering keeping this one, but I’m still on the fence. I may return it to Amazon and buy it later when funds allow, but I think I’m going to sit on it a little while longer to decide if it’s an okay fit or not.

EDIT #1: After trying the bra on again, I realized that the wires don’t poke on the sides, but they literally wrap around to my back. The wires are also so wide that I can fit 2 fingers between them and my IMF. So leaning more towards not keeping this one at this point, which stinks but if it’s not a good fit it’s not a good fit, right?

    • Don't keep it. The wires of my Elomi bras are like that too. At first it's kinda ok because the bra is supportive but once your bands stretch out and you need to close on second or tightest set of hooks... the issues will get worse and the bra become unsupportive because the wires don't lift and support in the right place. I had to give up on my Elomis for that reason. I really love everything else about them but they stopped working properly for me at some point.

    • 1

Yeah it went back to Amazon. I decided that the wires are just too wide. The depth was great though, pretty much spot on for what I need, I think.

    • 1

Yes that is also my problem, I need the depth of a JJ cup, but wire width of an HH would be enough. I think Elomi focus is more on larger band + large cups where a more wide shape is more common I guess?

    Caitlyn 34JJ, rouge AW12

    pros
    + very comfortable AND supportive
    + soft and smooth fabric
    + strong wires
    + padded wire channels
    + comes in pretty colors

    cons
    - very very wide wires
    - band feels a bit loose, wearing it on tightest setting (I'd prefer a 32 band)
    - fabric comes up very high, no bra for low cut tops
    - gore is a bit wide... does float about 0.5cm away on top but that's because my boobs are very close set.

I really like this bra! It used to fit me best when I was carrying a few extra pounds. The band is a bit too big and there is some slight gaping on top where the ... cups meet the straps. The wires are like all Elomi wires much too wide on me! There is about 1.5-2cm empty fabric on the side. Despite those issues it's still a very supportive bra. It's also one of the most comfortable bras I've ever tried. It supports me when I am active but I can also take a nap in it without any discomfort. I could even use it as a sleep bra, I think. I barely feel the wires! The shoulder straps are wide and fully adjustable. The shape is okay, not pointy but also not very uplifted. It makes boobs look more wide from the front and less projected from the side.

  3. Mariella Banded Bra (EL4420)

    Didn't fit

I think I will share this on the front page because Mariella is not one you hear about as much as other Elomis - only one review on Bratabase! - but it's a very nice bra and deserves more attention.

First the basics of its construction: The lower cups are made of a non-stretch silky fabric, while the top cups are of stretch lace with an upper band of elastic that might cut in for FOT ladies. The patterned fabric of the cup continues up the straps and across the bands, where it is lined with a soft elastic fabric to allow stretching. The wires are relatively flexible ... and on the outer side are about 1/2 inch shorter than the fabric of the wings, allowing for some cushion.

The Mariella is supposed to be based on the Elomi Morgan, and it has a lot of similarities. Someone I read, though, compared it to a cross between the Morgan and the Kim, and I'd say that's about spot on. The bottom cup is like Morgan's - deeper and rounder than Kim's - but with more projection than the Morgan. The result is a nice "green" shape - pointier than Morgan, rounder than Kim, and less extreme than Panache Jasmine.

To top it off, Mariella is both pretty and very comfortable.

I may try this in a 34J to compare, but I'm afraid I'll lose my tack. I'm technically a 36 band, but I noticed with other Elomis that the bands are pretty stretchy. I have to wear my 36HH Morgan on the tightest hooks and the band still rides up. I'm using an extender with this Mariella and it seems to be about right.

I think the fit and shape on this one look pretty good compared to what I've tried so far, but I'm still trying to figure this all out. Would a 34J be better? Do the wires look too wide or narrow? Right now I think I'm FOB/even and especially outer full; I think wide roots, but hard to tell. There is no doubt about being super projected and pendulous. Gravity pulls the whole structure down and out, but there is tissue on the top that is very happy to fill out when the bottom is supported. Does anything about how the Mariella fits give clues about my shape to the educated eye?

Are the cups projected enough for me? Heck no! Nothing is. There's a little folding over of the fabric at the wire. But it's not bad.

Is there some wrinkling at the side of the cups, especially on my smaller breast? Of course! But I can live with that.

Does it stay tight in my IMF? Don't be silly, why would it do that? Nothing does. *Every* bra I've tried eventually settles down about an inch or so, all landing in roughly the same place. Straps and band tighter or looser, it doesn't seem to make much difference. I guess that's just my anatomy?

Maybe someday I'll find the true unicorn, but until then, this Mariella seems pretty close.

    • Such a pretty colour and print!!

    • This bra is so pretty! I think with this bra that the wires are soft and more easily stretched to the back than on other Elomi bras (Sachi, Matilda or Panache Jasmine) therefore the wrinkling on the sides. I don't know if it's a sign it's too big or just too wide wires. The more wires are stretched the more shallow a cup can get. Also I noticed that the bands are quite stretchy on this I also would liked a tighter band but that would stretch the wires more.

    • >This bra is so pretty

@alisa, I had been eyeing the Mariella for a while, but it was your review that made me decide to give it a try! I thought it looked so nice on you!

      >The more wires are stretched the more shallow a cup can get.

I hadn't considered this, but it makes sense. I wonder if I wore the extender looser if that would help with filling the bottom of the cups. I'll have to experiment a bit. I have to wear the band of my 36HH Morgan on its tightest hooks, and it still rides up, so I felt I would need to go down to a 34 for better stability.

      >I don't know if it's a sign it's too big or just too wide wires.

I'm not sure either. I do have odd-shaped breast tissue that kind of trails off under my arms, though, and I think it doesn't fit the U-shaped wires. In your experience does wrinkling in the sides of cups affect support? Or is it more cosmetic?

    • I'm pretty sure we're boob twins, so far the best fit I've gotten was in the Panache Clara after I bent the wires. Still didn't have as much projection as I need but it was the best fit I'd had to date. I heard Meredith is similar to Morgan and Mariella so hopefully it works out.

    Didn't fit

    Pros:
    Attractive
Bandless, therefore best for short waisted women and any who have underwires dig in their ribs
Low center gore for those who need it (like close together breasts)
    Underwires appear flexible
    Doesn't come up under arm
All of the above means it's pretty comfortable
Band is comfortably tight and doesn't seem prone to stretch like my Caitlyn (34K)

    Cons:
Cups are so wide it seems like it was supposed to act as part of the band. Who knows, maybe it was?
Material a little itchy. Probably will get softer with wear
Not uber supportive. Some jiggle can be noted though not extreme
Full on top women can get quad boob if they ... try since it's not lace or full coverage but it shouldn't usually be happening unless you try.

Not necessarily a con, the shape elomi bras seem to give isn't my preferred one but it doesn't look bad at all under clothes.

I love this bra. I've never had a pretty bra before! I didn't expect it to work in the least but my breasts actually sit how the models does without it coming up full coverage. I like how it looks, I LOVE the low center gore. I like the seemingly flexible underwire and most of all the bandless nature of it. The underwire doesn't tack 100% but there's only like a cm or two of space so for my purposes I said it does.

I am a short waisted hour glass/cello and my breasts are heavy and pendulous and this barely puts any pressure on my ribs. It seems to be an engineering feat to me. If elomi 's multiway bra works out, I'll be a definite fan although I wear 32K normally, the 34JJ/K seems to work for me. I just wish it came in a K cup to see if it worked even better but I'll gladly settle for this. P. S. Husband loves it. Try it!

This bra is so comfortable. The fabric is satiny and the bands and straps are lined with a felt-like material. It doesn't dig or poke anywhere. However, I have a problem with just about all the bras I have tried with them slipping down out of the IMF, and this one is no exception. The band is pretty stretchy. In fact, I started with a 36 inch band Morgan, but I have to wear it on the tightest hooks right out of the gate. This one I wear with an extender. The cups of the 34JJ fit much better and the gore tacks comfortably.

It makes a nice shape, not as east-west as some other Elomis, and pretty round. The stretch lace on top of the cup has a rim of elastic, which sits fine across the top of my breasts, but might cut in for someone fuller on top. I would like a little more uplift, especially on the sides - perhaps if it were a perfect fit. The seams show only slightly through t-shirts.

This bra looks very cute. It's hot pink floral pattern, it's printed and it has a very nice satin, silky feel. The lace top is stretchy.

It has very wide wires but that's as expected for Elomi.

The gore is nice, for me personally it could still be slightly lower or narrower, either or, to be a great fit, but I manage.

The shape of this is quite projected, but it's not a great shape for me because I do get wrinkles in the bottom of the cup as well as empty space on the sides because of the wires.

I originally wrote a review that was useless and I've now ... worn this bra many times since so I've got a better understanding and feel for the bra.

The cut is similar to Charley, which I also own in the same size, but this one is more projected than Charley.

It's decently comfortable, I've certainly had some more comfortable bras but this one is up there pretty high. I think that's because of the fabric which is very nice.

Lift wise it's not amazing but I've adjusted the straps a little tighter and it gives a better lift. But because it's a bit of a shape mismatch for me it's never gonna give me the lift I need. I think the bra needs more immediate projection. (And narrower wires of course https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />)

Very pretty bra, though not for me. Beautiful red color, nicely full coverage.
Wires are VERY wide, too wide for me. Cups are too small, the gore is floating very far.

Pretty comfortable, no poking whatsoever but the band is too wide on me. So I pinched the gore after it was stretched out some, and now it's much better again. Still, no perfect fit for me.

*edit* I've now added a picture clothed. You can see how terrible the gore fit is on it: the top of the gore sticks out through my shirt!

This bra is very comfortable. It is fairly full coverage, with thick satiny opaque cups. It has a printed pattern on the cups and very pretty embroidery detailing along the top edge of the cup. The band is fine mesh, with thick, elastic edges. It gives a low, wide shape. The cup edges form a v shape in front, and make a fairly flat separated area.

The cup is actually 4-part, including the side support panel (my favorite feature of Elomi and Goddess bras). The cup extends below the band, with no band edge off the bottom of the cup.

As I expect from Elomi bras, if I could get this in 32K it would fit much better, I think. Although I'm not in love with the shape.

It’s Matilda, formerly one of my favorite bras. Great material and look, great construction, unintentionally chosen in the wrong size so it fit way too big. 34J might fit better, but I don’t think it’ll have enough projection for me. This bra typically fit me pretty shallowly. I LOVE this color though!

    • Ah the Matilda, it's one of the best bra by Elomi. The colour is gorgeous! I also struggle with the issue that if I choose the smaller size it cuts in on top and has not enough projection, and if I size up there is gaping on top and sides. :(

I'm not sure who this bra would actually fit. Maybe someone slightly shallower and wider, or more even all over? I am FOB and inner-full with average to slightly narrow roots. I normally wear a 36J in Elomi, sometimes 36HH, and the 34JJ is a little tight in the band (the center gore even digs in to me, ouch) and pretty big in the cup, but also lacking the immediate projection I need.

It's supposed to be one of the narrowest gores and wires Elomi makes, but that's definitely not the case for me. For contrast, the 34JJ - Elomi » Morgan Banded Bra (4110) fit me just about perfectly. I thought these bras were the same cut, but definitely not. I tried it with an extender, but then the cups just got comically huge on me.

I normally wear a 36HH or 36J in Elomi, but this 34JJ is just about perfect. It doesn't have quite enough immediate projection for my FOB breasts, but the wrinkling is minimal compared to most and it does sit snugly in my IMF. Width is perfect under my arms. Gore is just slightly wide for my close-set breasts, but not enough to cause problems. There's also a very slight amount of wrinkling along the outer sides of the cups, but minimal compared to some Elomis like the 36J - Elomi » Mia Plunge Bra (EL4361).

It's a fairly boring bra in the nude colorway, and I don't love the camo pattern, but the pictures don't make it so obvious there are some pretty details on it such as the stretch lace at the top and the little bows on the straps. It's fine, but definitely not a sexy bra. It's not perfect, but it's definitely one of my best fits yet.

Very similar fit and shape to Elomi Kim. but this is more rounded where the Kim is more pointy on me.

The cup is made out of stretch lace at the top and a sturdy mesh type of fabric for the rest of the bra. It's not as soft as Kim.

It has very wide wires like other Elomi bras also does.

The gore is short and nice, although slightly too wide for me.

    Band is TTS.

Sadly the bra is just a shape mismatch for me as I gave gaping on the sides and wrinkles in the bottom of the cup with some quadding in the top of the cup on my right breast (which is slightly bigger)

The cups are a four-part construction with a double layer on the side-support section. The top panel is non-stretch mesh with an elastic band top edging. Straps are fully adjustable and have a built-in J -hook. The Etta is bandless, but I didn't notice any difference in comfort from this construction. For supposedly being designed for short women, the cups are pretty tall. I didn't care for cone shape or the east-west separation it gave.
