I loved loved this bra, and all of the Cleo Maddie T-Shirt bras -- I would still love it, but since I've purchased it, I've lost a bit of weight and now the band size no longer fits me and these no longer feel comfortable. I'm here to try to share the love, and pass on a great and sturdy bra so I can re-invest in ones that are once again my size!

So, even though this bra is slightly large for me I'm keeping it for my bigger boob part of the month.

I seem to be in between sizes at the moment, especially in my pms week, and some of my 32FF cleos (Kira and Minnie) are slightly small in the cups. It's not by much, but due to the cup construction my nipple causes a bit of in cup quadding where it hits the horizontal seam. So I figured sizing up should solve this problem.

This bra is a small 32G, and the bottom cup comes up just high enough to cover my nipple and prevent that anoyjng in cup quadding. The lace at the top is a bit loose, but when I adjust the straps it's not noticable under clothes.

I got this lightly used from another bratabaser, and I like this bra! It's very soft, and has just a tad more immediate projection than Freya half cups, which is perfect for me. It does not push my boobs as front and center as unlined Cleos do, but not as far to the side as Freya half cups. It gives a nicely lifted round shape.

It almost works as a t shirt bra, if not for the stupid lace that won't lie flat. Weird design choice, I'm going to cut it off.

I have a little bit of quad boob in this, so think the cups are ... on the small side compared to the unlined Cleos. I'd like to try a 32GG to see if that fits better, but maybe I'm in between cup sizes for this style. The band is quite loose compared to other Cleo styles, I can already wear it on the tightest hook. So perhaps I should track down a 30H to try next.

One other weird design choice: the straps are not fully adjustable, and I already wear them almost as tight as they go, even though I am not short at all. If you have very high set breasts, or a very short torso, the straps may not adjust short enough for you.

In all, I like it enough to keep as a basic black t-shirt bra for smaller boob days, but I'll try to find a 30H to see if that's better for me, and look into EM half cups as well inv the future.

Weirdly enough, this bra in a 32G is too large in the cups for me, and not just al little. I can see that it has potential though, even with the too large cup, it seems to provide lift and a good shape. The fabric is a little rough, I would prefer a smoother finish. The print with the swans is cool, and I even like the neon yellow details. I would like the straps a bit sturdier, they are quite stretchy and thin.

In the right size, this is probably a good bra for me, but this one's going back.

I got this because I had the Maddie 7091 (http://bra.pe/MBvZ/) in a 32F and it was really comfortable, but too small in the cups (lots of quadding, floating gore, and worst of all, tons of back/armpit squidge).

However, much to my surprise, even though this is the same cut, it is SO MUCH less comfortable. The fabric is scratchy and the cups are much, much stiffer. The other felt like a VS bra but this one is pretty miserable. The sizing up didn't help me, either. I still quad slightly in this if I really scoop everything in, but the cups come up so high it ... gapes most of the time. The worst part is the wires. They're so wide that they actually extend to the /back/ edge of my armpits.

I have a narrow root and a lot of projection, so this bra is just not going to work for me. Band also runs on the stretchy side, and I'm at the bottom edge of a 32 so I think a 30 would have suited me better. Might be good for someone with shallow projection and wide roots, and I think it's open enough to suit a tall root as well. It does give a nice round shape, although very little lift.

I love, love, love this bra. It's totally converted me to longlines. It's amazing having the support for my breasts spread out over a larger area of my back, and I find it also helps me stand up straight and use my abs more in daily life. This longline is also actually long, with fabric and boning extending a good two inches below the wires in this size. At first I found the boning a little uncomfortable, but I found that after a day's wear this bra really formed to the shape of my body and ribcage and the boning now curves exactly where I do. Super comfortable! ...

Occasionally sometimes when sitting down, the front bunches up a little, but it isn't painful and is easy to put into place again discreetly. The boning definitely helps prevent any major flip-ups. The fabric in the straps and band also loosens up a bit after the first wear, which was great for me, as I found the straps to be a little short at first! Now they're perfect.

I'm full all over and take the same size in this bra as I do in the Marcie.

Hmmm. I don't know about this one yet.

It's pretty similar to the minnie, and it fits mostly right (no gaping, no quad boob & a gore that's tacking like a pro), but it has some downsides compared to the minnie.

The cup fabric is more stretchy, which causes some issues. The wires are a bit too narrow for me (same as the minnie) but due to the stretchier fabric I get a weird side bulge in the cup when I swoop&scoop my side boob tissue in. I'm not sure if this is only due to the narrowness of the wires & my wide roots, or if there's something ... else wrong there, I'll make a fit request on that later.

The wires end just before the fabric does, and the empty fabric tends to fold and stick out under my arms, which is uncomfortable. The wires dig into my armpit anyway, but that may be resolved by bending them out a bit (I'll get back to you on that).

I believe the band on this one is a bit tighter than the minnie band, and maybe using an extender will relieve some of my problems (will get back to you on that too).

As for the shape it gives me, it is quite similar to the minnie: plenty of lift, forward facing boobs that are within my frame, but a tiny bit pointy in some way, which may just be due to the fact that they are now more projected instead of pushed towards my chest and to the side like I usually have them. I'm not yet sure if I like the shape, but under some clothes it will probably be a good look.

The lacy fabric shows through clothes, more so than the smoother minnie fabric does.

So, in all: a well made bra that fits mostly like it should, but it will probably not make it to my favorites shortlist.

Lovely bra. Lovely upwards projected shape. Still not close set enough for me, but I love the shape so much I am going to try to alter the gore to be less wide. (I have very close set touching boobs - if you are only slightly close set you should be ok.

I purchased this bra because I thought it would fit like the Cleo Meg and it does. Just like the Meg, I have a bit of space at the top of the cup, but I prefer that as opposed to the tight, flattened-down alternative I get with the Marcie (to some degree). I also find Lily to be a bit too tight on top. [BTW, I have even fullness.] The extra fabric that I have at the top doesn't show thru clothes.

I find that I can "sister-size" in Cleo really well. I normally wear a 30GG, but since Cleo bands are so tight, the 32G and the 34FF also work for me in most cases. This is one of them. Just as an aside, this fabric doesn't seem as high of quality as my Cleo Natasha. The 32 band in this case is also not as tight as the 32 band in Natasha. Overall, it is a very cute bra that gives me a fantastic shape.

This is the first molded-cup bra I've gotten since I've learned my true size. It's black and magenta, and gorgeous, but it just doesn't fit. I definitely need a larger cup, because it seems like it's at least one, and maybe two, cup sizes too small. The band is uncomfortable, not because it's too tight, but it is stiff.

The underwires are what make this the worst. They sit too low on the sternum and feel way too tight, but they are a bit too wide as well. I have a medium-wide root, and the wires were way, way too wide. I'm also a bit too projected and FOT for this bra. It's best suited to a 32G with wide roots, shallow projection, and FOB. I'm sad, because it's a gorgeous bra.

It just feels like a cheap bra. I'm not impressed with this first exposure to Cleo. Maybe it's because it's brand new, and it'll possibly get softer with time, but I'm not a fan of the Jude.

Updated on May 02, 2015 Flag this

    • I could be wrong, but I think I remember hearing that the Jude was a disaster on pretty much everyone. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, I don't want to tarnish a good bra's rep.
Unlined Cleo's are pretty nice, so don't give up yet. I think marcie is the one labeled FOT friendly. Lily and Meg are even friendly. Lucy fob friendly.

    • Don't let Jude mold your impression of Cleo. Jude is an extremely difficult shape to fit. It's very close on me. I am quite shallow. Jude is a little too shallow on bottom for me, and a bit too shallow by the gore. But it's not a bad bra. I still wear mine around. It's just not for everyone's shape. It's Cleo's biggest mistake, IMO, and it does feel like a cheap bra. Neve was Jude's replacement - but I can't recommend it for you because it's even shallower on bottom than Jude. I can see how Neve would work on the smaller/more typically shallow end of the size range.

If you want to try a molded Cleo, Juna might work. I believe it's kind of labeled or thought of as a shallow/wide bra, but it's not nearly as shallow and wide as Jude. Otherwise, the unlined Cleos are highly rated around here. I wouldn't know, I need a wider shape than that.

    • Yes, Jude is super shallow. I think they took a design that was specifically created as a modified push-up (really push-together) for small bust cup sizes, a range where shallow breast shape is very much the norm, and just scaled that sucker up and up and up without realizing that this would be a laughably terrible fit on actual full bust anatomies.

    • I had the same experience with the Jude, where I didn't come back to Cleo for years. Try the Maddie, I think you'd have better luck.

I ordered several different sizes after remeasuring myself (retailers have had me wearing a 32DDD for years). I tried a 30H, 30HH and 32G and found that the 30H fits the best.

Superficially, I'm not a huge fan of the swan print.

  19. Neve Plunge T-shirt Bra (7196)

    I LOVE it!
I have never felt so sexy in a bra before - totally cakes on a plate, front and centre and my back has never felt so supported and secure by the under band - It was so stretchy and seemed to contour to my body like a glove.. I tried the 32G and 34ff, little flattened by the 32 and overspill in the 34ff
I just needed a 34G I think, then they wouldn't be flattened at all - since its discontinued I will get this size in Cleo Koko Mode Moulded Plunge Bra (7806)
as its supposed to be the same shape as Neve.

Really like this bras bright colors and patterns!
    Bra construction/visual
Bottom mesh is slightly stuff but it should loosen up with wear. The pattern is really pretty. Lace looks like it will hold up well. Just wish it was a 3x3 hook

    Fit
I think think this bra would give me good lift but it does. I get a slight indent where the bottom of the cup meets the lace but maybe as I break the bra in it will stretch out. Also the wires are really staight so I will probably need to bend them to fit my ribcage better. Also maybe bend the gore slightly away from my body. But technically it's a perfect fit. it give a nice round shape and my breasts are quite squishy I think. Also gives slight cleavage.
