  1. Lucy Balconnet Bra (5851)

Appearance: Dark blue, unpadded three-section cup bra. Little pink flowers on the cups and a pink bow on the centre gore. Flower embroidery on the sheer upper section finished off by a line of cute little dots running along the upper section, both in pink and purple fading to baby pink. This "fading" actually put me off a little at first but the colors suit me very well.

    Pros:
    - Perfect, Apple-Like, Gorgeous, Amazing Rounded Shape! I love this bra!
    - lots of uplift
    - fully adjustable straps
    - lightweight, a little sheer but no nipples on show
    - centre gore doesn't poke and fits my close-set breasts
    - the wires don't poke my armpits ... (I'm petite, height-wise, at least)
    - doesn't show much even under tight-fitting tops https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
    - so far, I think all of the fashion colors are pretty

    Cons:
Now this will be somehow a long story. I've had tons of issues with Lucy, even though it is the best-fitting bra that I own.
First, some things that I can't change about Lucy (only Panache can do that *not-so-subtle-HINT*)
    - The band is rather narrow and has only two sets of hooks and eyes. Curvy Kate makes nice bands with 3 sets of hooks and eyes and even though the fit of their bras is simply WRONG on me I can tell how much more comfortable wider bands are.
    - The wires are too wide. I have space left at both sides but since I bent the wires I don't think it affects the fit or the support of the bra.

But now I will come to the main issues that I had with Lucy. These are my personal experiences and might not affect you at all.
When I purchased the Lucy I deemed her pretty much the best fit I could get from a bra. The cups fit, no fourboob, no band riding up, no wires poking me in the armpits or the breastbone.
After wearing it for a couple of times, though, the bra started chafing and rubbing and leaving angry red marks that itched like crazy. I never experienced such pain from wearing bras before. I only recently discovered the reasons for this thanks to Emily from dimpseybrafit.blogspot.co.uk, whom I feel truly grateful towards. Do check out her blog.
    - The wires are only lightly padded. This means if you don't have much on your ribcage to cushion you from the wires, they can very uncomfortable.
I could resolve this issue mostly by bending the wires. That doesn't make them any more padded but at least they fit the shape of my body now. I first bent the wire to make it curve where my ribcage does, then I bent the ends of the wires so that they now face outwards a little.
    - The band is little too loose for my 27.5 inch ribcage. Which is why it started moving around on my back. It didn't ride up but it was loose enough to cause friction.
I need to wear it starting on the second hook.
And this may sound incredible but as soon as I ditched my extender (which I used to lessen the strain on my skin while still being able to wear a bra - didn't work) and tightened the bra, I felt better.
My skin has recovered and I can wear Lucy all day, if necessary.
It still isn't the comfort bra of my dreams but it has become one of my favorite bras and I wear her regularly.

What I wanted to mention, too:
I would buy another one when this one dies, maybe in white or another fashion color.
(Only.... why does everything have to be purple in 2013?)
I had a chance to try the black Lucy in 30HH once. The band was of course too loose and rode up but I experienced quadboob even though the cups should have the same volume as those of my 28J. Maybe the black ones run a little tighter in cups.

UPDATE: My boobs grew a little, so I quadboobed out of Lucy. I used BrasIHate's center gore alteration to get a some more space. I took in the center gore only a tiny little bit, probably not even one cm, but that was enough. A little goes a long way https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />
Still, this alteration changed the cup shape, and I would prefer being able to just order a 28JJ. I could try the 30J, but altering a band is much more complicated than just taking in the center gore. Cleo, why can't you just make bras up to a K cup? Sigh.

This is a fun and sexy bra that will give you wonderful uplifted, round and centered shape.
It has two flaws - only two hooks in any sizes and the straps that connect to the cup basically near your armpit (can be too far apart for some).
If you want more coverage this won't be your everyday bra, other than that it's comfy enough to be one.
The fabric has NO STRETCH and there is a lot of volume on top, so if you don't get this in the right size, there will be gapping and will look baggy on top or it may cut in if its too small.
But flaws aside - this bra is worth it just for the shape - it doesn't get much better than that.

Good for full on top and deep breasts

Panache bras usually have cups that are too wide for my close set, full-on-top breasts, so that usually the center gore sits away from the sternum but there's empty cup under my arms where women with wider set breasts would need it. This bra, however, works perfectly for me. The center gore is flush against the sternum and doesn't come up too high, so it feels comfortable. The straps are let out all the way, versus how tightly I have to wear Freya bras, so some might find the straps too short for them. The band is only two hooks on a J cup instead of 3, and I find it to be quite stiff so I wonder if it's because they needed a stiff band to compensate for the thinness. Even though the band fits perfectly and stretches away two fingers worth, it does get a bit uncomfortable versus other 28 band bras.

This bra is structured in two layers, which is something I haven't seen in a wireless bra before. It's a lot like the wired crop top styles I've seen in that it has an internal bra structure covered by an outer crop top layer. The inner bra is a three-part wireless mesh cup with a very narrow gore. Like most wireless bras, the gore doesn't come anywhere near tacking, but it does create some separation. The inner layer is rigid with no stretch to it and feels like pretty standard bra mesh. The outer layer is a soft, stretchy fabric that reminds me of athletic fabrics, with some ... stretch lace accents. This layer comes up higher than the internal layer, concealing it. Because of the way it stretches across the inner layer, you aren't going to see much definition between the breasts. With a shirt on over it, it's a uniboob, just without the boob sweat. Together the two layers create pretty good lift and support for a wireless bra.

The straps have two parts, a non-adjustable stretch lace strap in the back and a regular adjustable strap in the front, with a j-hook in between. I am very, very happy about the j-hook. It's something I wish all bras had, not only for keeping straps from slipping, but also for shifting weight distribution. This one sits right between my shoulder blades when it's fastened. Like any other wireless bra I've tried, I would say the straps are taking more weight than they do in wired bras.

The band is a wide, soft piece of elastic. It's fairly thin, so it does roll up a bit. In a 28J, there are only two hooks in the back, which surprised me. It still feels supportive, though. The back of the bra is very open, with the straps set wide and the band so thin. It reminds me of the back of the Cleo Lyzy. The wings are high, which seems typical for Panache.

While it's on the supportive side and it has a kind of athletic look, this is NOT a sports bra. It doesn't have the level of compression or encapsulation necessary for that. It's fine for less intense workouts, and I'll probably try it for yoga, but I wouldn't go running in it.

Unlike every other wireless bra I've tried from Panache/Cleo, this one is true to size. I'm between a HH and a J, and I have just a bit of extra room in the cups in this bra. I might try it in a 28HH to compare.

Overall, this is one of the best wireless bras I've tried. It's not exactly my style in terms of appearance, but it's very comfortable and fits well.

Edited for an important addition: This is the one and only bra that I have ever found it comfortable to use as a phone pocket. Tuck it between the two layers and it sits there comfortably instead of squishing my breast.

    Millie Geo 28J
I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.

Millie is an unpadded underwire balcony bra. It is black with multi colored (black, blue, teal, lime green, and mauve/brown) geo pattern and black lace tops. Personally, I love the pattern though I have read negative reviews regarding its look.

The band measures 22.75 to a max of 29” with 2 hooks and 3 rows of eyes.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This ... measurement is: 12.5”

2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 14.25”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

This bra is amazing for me! I love the nice rounded shape it gives, the pretty fabric, and it fits so well. I will definitely have this bra as a wardrobe staple for as long as it is made.

Update: After wearing this bra for a short time I have had some problems...the major problem is the wires, ouch! The band isnt too tight for me, but I have to wear and extender, otherwise the wires bruise me under my breasts. Because I have to wear the band too loose to avoid bruising there are now a host of other problems that are only problems because the bra band is too big. But one other problem I noticed before I started using the extender was that the wires go way too far beyond my armpits. Like sometimes I feel like they are wrapping around my back. Ugh! So, probably won't buy this bra again...

The bra has a lot of excess material under the cups and under the arms since the wires do go back quite far. the wires are quite high so they do poke, but the bra material is incredibly soft and it looks very pretty. It gives a nice rounded shape and it's not on my mind after I it on. It's so comfortable I was considering sleeping in it.

Clearly this bra is not my size, but please refer to my reviews of the Lily in the 32F and 32FF sizes. I will be listing this one; its a long story.

The (swan) bra itself is well-constructed, with firmer wires than those found in my size range. It is really gorgeous. The color is listed in some places as charcoal, but it appears black to my eyes.

Fit well when I was slightly bigger, has some slight gaping at the top now, but still gives a really nice rounded shape. I think I'd do better in a 30H.

Pretty bra, but too small. Mr BF likes spilling though, and wants me to keep it. I'd rather not. I would love to exchange this for one in a bigger size, maybe. It's pretty scratchy.

I was holding my breath with this, as the possibility of a babydoll both in my size and actually comfortably fitting seemed too good to be true... but it wasn't! As with many Panache bras, I seem to get the flat bit at the bottom of the cup, where my breast is most definitely filling it, but it just sits in a slightly odd way. The top of the cup also seems to sit a little loose, but again not in a way that indicates the wrong size. If I gently pull the top of the cup across my breast, it fits perfectly. Not by any means a deal breaker, especially as it's not exactly meant to be worn out of the bedroom...

NB. Currently between a 28 and a 30 (trying to lose weight!) so using a bra back extender with this, just to add an extra hook. Fits fine without, just a little on the tight side.

I got this bra second hand from another Bratabaser. It's an unbanded bra style with 2 rows of 3 columns of hooks, which is standard for Cleo bras. The straps are half adjustable.

The design on this bra is quite cute- I like the pink with the floral embroidery. The bra when I got it was obviously worn, but still certainly has some life in it. I'd say that it's a bit stretchier than a standard 28 band, stretching to closer to 77cm (30.5" ).

I generally find that the gores in unbanded bras are too wide for me, and this was no exception. I think that despite the straps ... being designed as half adjustable, if you were very stubborn, you could pull the adjustment over the fabric section. The straps in Cleo bras tend to be a little narrower than I prefer, but Bonnie certainly has fairly stable straps with no sharp edges. The wires are wider than I require, but not excessively wide in comparison to some bras in this size range.

Unfortunately, this bra is just too small in the cup & too closed off on the top for me. I think that it would work better on fuller on bottom breasts, and that I'd need something like a 26L if Cleo made it to get a decent fit in this bra.

I found this bra tighter in the band than other 28s, but I like it that way. The wires were digging in at the top of the gore, but I fixed it by pushing them all the way to the outside edge of the channel and sewing up the top of the gore - they don't hurt my armpits. The gore could be a bit narrower - it leaves marks on my breast tissue - but it doesn't hurt. It's quite a narrow gore to start with. Overall I like this bra and wish it wasn't discontinued, but there are still quite a few selling cheaply on ebay.

The band for this one is definitely too small for me. With that, it is kinda hard to comment on the fit with the band so off.
