Sexy, lifting, and comfortable! But hard to find (& I don't think I got the item no. Correct 142787). I have this cut/style in many sizes and prints. It is solar to Cacique's regular french balconette, but the lace is stretchy (which is GREAT) and the support cup is cut differently (and satin) creating the vintage/torpedo/Madonna lifting-shape. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
My favorite bra ever! Great shape to dress up or go out, since it's the vintage, torpedo shape (rare find in large sizes like mine).
Biggest problem is the squeaky wires (at both ends of both wires). Most of my cacique bras squeak and I fix them by cutting a small hole at with end of the channel and inverting a sharp, metal nail file to rough-up the ends of the wire.
What makes under wires squeak?
Another problem (that I, like many, ignore) is that the center gore doesn't lie flat.
Nothing much... the stretch-lace at the top of the cup stretches a bit more. When I push the gore down on other bras, it creates (or worsens) quad-boob.
Decent bra for loafing around the house. No underwire or lining, so it's pretty stretchy and forgiving. The neckline is very high, so don't wear with anything cleavagey.
Unattractive and itchy fabric. Very grandma bra-ish. Tends to make slightly pointy boobs that angle to the side. Works as a very basic bra and the unlined cups make it work for a slightly bigger range of sizes but it's far from sexy.
I've had this bra now for over a year, regular wear and and washing in the washing machine (hang dry). Still in good shape and hasn't stretched out. The 38 band is a firm 38 (to me), and I feel pretty supported in it. The gore doesn't come close to tacking on me, and my boobs sort of meet in the middle over it, with a some quad oozing. It's a touch wide on me and I have gaping where the strap meets the cup about the size of a goofball, but you mostly can't see it under a tank top. You can see see the sides ...of the bra, however and might dig into armpits, but doesn't for me. The side boning however bends with my fat and gets uncomfortable towards the end of the day.
Edit: I am realizing that what I thought was a non stretched out band was the fact that the cup size was too small and pulling the band tight. Now that I've migrated a bit, I can only really wear them for a little while washing my other bras. They are much wider than I originally thought, about 3 finger's width from my root. The 38" band size is teeny tiny (only 31" when stretched) and the straps cut into my armpits. I like that the cups are deep enough not to have the trampoline effect in the front, but the tiny band is a deal-breaker.
This bra did not suit my size or shape very well. I believe this bra wOuld be lovely for someone with a different shape. However, even thigh it made my chest look awful it was very comfortable.
The center Gore is almost non existent, and helps produce great cleavage. Overall great bra, just didn't work on my breast shape.
Before making the jump to UK bras, this was my go to. I had 2 or 3 because the support, band abd straps were just so magnificent. Even thiugh the cups were far too small, abd the band much too big for me, this bra had very firm but flexible support, abd the cut is phenomenal.
This bra is beautiful, I wish it had fit better. I bought it new with tags, write it once for about 5 minutes to assess the fit. I then wrore it again for about an hr once the tags were off and realized the bra did not work for me at all. For one the cups are much too small, but I couldn't return it. And the straps are for a person with a less lengthy torso. At their loosest (11 3/4" or 30cm) they still cut into my shoulders horrendously.
The bra does not seem to be stretched out anywhere, it has never been machine washed and is a beautiful ruby red. The cups are very close and there is hardly any center gore. It came with air push up pads, which would be great for someone who fit the bra properly.
I honestly really love this bra. I love the smooth cups and the way it doesn't poke me anywhere. The band is definitely too big for me, and I plan to shorten it soon. I really love the purple base, but I don't like beige anything, so the lace on it is ew.
This is definitely what I wear when I want to be comfortable bra. I bought this because it was cheap and I wanted to see if I could do a G cup in a larger band and just alter the band. It's a little too small in the cups and, of course, the band is way too loose. I wear this bra when I feel bloated or when I just want to be comfortable while being somewhat supported.
This bra was given to me as a gift, and it just doesn't fit me correctly. I'll give all the helpful information I can: - Bra material is super comfortable. - The shape was incompatible for me. My boobs just wanted to fall out of the center (I'm super close-set) and I had empty space at the outer top of each cup. If you have narrow, close-set breasts I'd steer clear of this one! Also, the cups (not the underwire, but the actual cup fabric) comes up very high under my arms. - Bra seems well constructed and it felt very sturdy in my hands. Even the convertible straps are less ...flimsy than most that I've worn. - The bra is banded (meaning that the band continues around the body below the underwire), but it follows the curves of the cups VERY closely-- it is not straight across. - The band measurement is stated to be 38", but that was just about maximum stretch when I measured. Unstretched, the band is only 30"! So it would probably work for a good range of sister sizes. I usually wear a 34" band and I fastened it on the outermost hooks. Read more 87 more words
This is a relatively comfortable bra, if it were a bit bigger around. I like the molded cups. The wire placement is good and does not poke my sternum or underarm area.
Got it for my sister through a listing on here. I was expecting beige based on the pictures, but I got chocolate brown. Not sure how that will be received.
This is a pretty good bra for one so far away from what I should be wearing. The depth to width ratio is to shallow for me, but it served me pretty well. The straps are convertible in back only to make a cross-back.
What happens if you push the gore to your chest?
