Bring out your dead!

I'm looking for your extremely worn/beat/dead bras. The kind of bra you'd consider throwing away because it's beyond wearing. Rips, tears, broken/poked out underwires, popped straps...all ok!

Specifically unpadded Cleo's in 32GG or 34G (meg, Marcie, lucy, lily, Melissa...), and Comexim plunges in 75J.

I'm open to paying a little for these, but will gladly accept donations! Shipping within the US.

I intend to take them apart to make a pattern and sew a few. There aren't any sewing patterns that come in that size and it will be much easier to alter an almost perfect bra pattern than one 3 sizes too small (the only available commercial pattern). And I can't bear to tear apart any of my still usable bras. At least this way dead bras will serve a purpose instead of just being thrown away :)

  • i don't have any bras for you in that size range, but points for the spamalot reference.

  • I recently dragged a completely full trash bag that was the largest size carried in stores out of my house to put into the car so I could take it down to donate - there were at least 8 bras in there, though most of them were only 34D/DD. If I come across anyone (I have a friend who wears a 36-38G/H) with dead bras they want to get rid of - can you do anything with larger bands? Since you're planning on dissection, maybe the volume of the cup and ability to mess with the underwires to your heart's content would be possible even though the bra as a whole would be the wrong size?
