Mt first world bra gripes

Yes, these are petty, whiny, stupid and/or odd. Feel free to add or mock, I can take it.

1 - 3+ hooks! Seriously, my smallest bras are 32G/34F. Can I please have some more help supporting the weight? 3 hooks at least. My grumpy back thanks you. 4 or 5 in a normal back would have me determined to make the bra work.

2 - Moisture wicking fabric in daily wear styles. It's 100* with 61% humidity. It's hot under the a/c vent. My sweaty bra may fit perfectly, but it's getting removed the second I get home because it's icky. If I'm headed straight home, it gets removed in the car.

3 - Related to 2. Ladies, at least rinse your sweaty bra. You don't, they reek. I do not get it. You wash underpants after one wear, why don't you at least rinse your bra. Aren't they itchy otherwise? If mine aren't disgusting, I can rinse once between washing, but sweaty bras, blech, if it somehow dries before I wash it, it just feels rough.

4 - While not now - jersey type lining is oh so very nice. More please.

5 - While I may want new, space age materials by my breasts - my underpants are a different matter. I want no lace ruffles and fancy decor. VPL is one thing, visible ruffles are another. And please, cotton. I know, it's not as pretty. But, unless I want a really fun yeast infection and butt acne, I am wearing cotton. That likely explains why my hubby vastly prefers my underpants be cotton. Really, the matching set kind of defeats the purpose. Oh well, my bras are mostly black or have black trim. Matching to a minor extent is simple.

6 - Some days, I just want to not match. Because today was an ivory and teal bra day, but I didn't want to wear teal panties. Neon pink with orange and purple polka dots seemed nice. Or, per hubby, it was a Skittles day. This is why we're still married, 13 years later.

  • I just have a few comments, just opinions of my own that I thought might be interesting to add.

    1) I would kill for a 4/5 hook bra. I think it would be amazingly supportive. I'm pretty much a 30K in nearly all brands and this three hook thing ain't cutting it, I'm telling ya'.

    2) Sweaty bras are a pain, yes. I live in 100+ degree daily weather and sweating is inevitable, but I don't have the urge to remove it as soon as possible, that may be due to other issues as in I hate being braless as that's a whole other story.

    3) While I do have a few different bras to wash, it's just not possible to wash every one after use. It may just be me, due to my fibromyalgia and sensitive hands, it's just not plausible. And yes, I do sometimes wear the same bra twice in a row, but I don't get that problem you're describing as in my bras don't get stiff from the sweat and usually smell good from the deodorant I use.

    5) I agree with you. Although I do love lacy and silky underwear, only if it has a cotton crotch area as it's not comfortable otherwise. I'm not a fan of ruffles as those show through clothing and I would only see it as being used for the bedroom. But then again, to each her own.

    6) I think I match like once a week and it's not even technically matching. I have a bra that's salmon with black polka dots/straps/band and so I throw on some random black panties I have. Or I have a white bra and it's the same. But usually, matching is not my priority when getting ready.

  • I wash my bras after ever wear. It takes about 5 minutes before my shower, so I make it a point to do that. I just don't have enough bras to accumulate a whole week's worth of bra laundry to do it weekly.
