Random innovation thanks to bras!
So my husband (and I, to a lesser extent) records videos for youtube that of him(/us) playing video games, usually called a Let's Play. It's a pretty popular thing right now. I mainly support him and help him with some of the techie stuff, including researching and buying him a good microphone for his hobby.
Well, it was a GOOD mic, but it didn't come with a pop filter. Basically a pop filter is a little thing that goes in front of a microphone that 'filters' out the harsh "popping" sounds in P's and B's and some of the hissing in the S sound. It helps get a crisper sound. Instead of paying a bunch of money for a pop filter online, I found that I could make one with pantyhose and any circular-type metal object that will hold said pantyhose in place.
Today, in a stroke of genius, I had the perfect metal contraption to use for the pop filter -- an old underwire! I popped out the underwires on a figleaves bikini I got because they were insanely uncomfortable. It's not a total circle, it's a half circle, but it's totally wide enough and tall enough to work. I used one of those little pantyhose material "socks" that you're supposed to wear with flats and stretched it over the underwire.
See, I knew it would come in handy to save all those random, seemingly useful 'extras' from bra alterations and whatnot.

I love this idea! :D My boyfriend and I have actually been talking about getting started with Let's plays as well, so I'm definitely gonna give this a try, thank yooou :) xx
Awesome, let me know how it works out for you! If you don't mind me asking, what games would you be doing let's plays of?
