How to find a maternity bra with band 60?

Hi everyone!. Actually I am on the first month of pregnancy and I feel that my breasts become a little bit bigger and very tender. My regular bra size is 28D (60D) and I think now I need something more comfortable during my pregnancy, something softer and flexible. I was trying to find maternity bras by Panache, Freya, Ewa Michalak, but they don't offer maternity/nursing bras with band size 28 (60). I don't want to buy now nursing bras, it is too early, but I can't find maternity bras of my size (even one cup bigger).

Does anyone know where to find maternity bras with band siize 28 (60)? Maybe just soft cup bras will be ok for me? It's my first pregnancy, so I don't know... What do you think?

  • Congratulations!!!! That is so exciting!
Here is one woman's opinion. I have been through this process 3 times. I dont think you need a "maternity" bra, just a couple regular bras that fit decently well. I would not buy lots, as you may need to change sizes a couple of times during your pregnancy. I would not hold them to absolute perfect fits, just close enough and comfortable, and not tight bands. Not only are your breasts going to grow, but your rib cage is also going to expand. This happens in order to make room for many of your organs that normally live in your abdomen to move for baby. I averaged going up 2 band sizes, as well as a couple cup sizes, while gaining an average amount of weight.
A word on nursing bras. Buy yourself a couple of stretchy ones at the end of pregnancy, when you can get an idea of how big your breasts and rib cage is at that point. Get a couple of different styles so you can see what you like, these can be night nursing bras down the road. You are going to be a couple of cup sizes bigger still when your milk comes in, so buy accordingly, maybe at month 8 or 9. Wait a couple weeks to a month after baby has arrived to get any more, structured nursing bras so you can see where you have settled size wise. Yay for nursing- it has its challenges, but it is amazing.

  • Try the XS Kindred Bravely bras: http://www.bratabase.com/browse/kindred-bravely/

They have a wide band (elastic in the Busty model) and the cup sizes are flexible. These, for me, are intensely comfortable and supportive. Organic Cotton provides the most support and French Terry provides the most softness. Both bras don't budge on my 28" underbust.

    Sending you all the best!!
