Out of the frying pan, into the fire. Put the bra extender on my 65FF - Ewa Michalak » Pl Burgund (204) and the straps are now too wide. So now I need to choose between a ridiculously tight band or straps on the absolute edge of my shoulders.

You dont need to choose one of those options.
Ive fixed the strap placement without cutting the straps from the bra, I just sewn them next to the original placement of straps and it works really well, I have now narrower straps, better cleavage and i can wear my 70E - Ewa Michalak » S Paris Paris (625) with the extender and it fit me very nicely and is so comfy!
