Original problem
Is this in cup quadding? I ask because I feel like the top portion of the cup is an empty bubble of space though the seam is laying flat - not gaping, not cutting in. Does that mean this is too big? Too small?
I have a Magenta Cleo in 30E that does this, but it's less severe. I think it fits better because the wires measure narrower than the blue color.
I'm interested in trying more Lilys. Originally I thought I was buying a 30F Lily, but the ebay listing was inaccurate.. Is a 30F worth trying? I like all the other colors more than Magenta, of course. I hear the swan print ones run large, so i have my eyes open for one in 30E.

Yep, that's pretty significant in-cup quadding. It also looks like the top edge of the cup might be cutting in just a tad on you.
You certainly could try a 30F Lily, but you might get some loose fabric on top. In-cup quadding is a shape issue or a manufacturing issue (lots of unlined Cleos are prone to giving in-cup quadding), not a size issue.
You should try Cleo Hettie or Cleo Kayla - both are similar fits to Lily but afaik they aren't prone to giving in-cup quadding and they're a bit more open on top.

It's always there unfortunately, doesn't get much better. :( the tightening does hide some gaping, so it's probably just the wrong shape for me. I might have had them too tight in the pictures as I searched for the right spot though.

Makes sense - thanks! Do you know if older models like Meg are as prone to it? Definitely looking for Cleo Hettie now that it has more colors, and Kayla too!
