My shape: teardrop with centered roots/nipples and allover fullness (slight FOB), super tall and wide roots, close tissue in the middle, and firm tissue that fights back and doesn't like to be pushed around.

This review is for the Papaya colorway.

So when I first took this bra out of the package, I could tell it was going to be too shallow in the bottom of the cup for me. Then I put it on, and Fauve Magic™ worked once again, making it a great fit just like the rest I already own. Ok, so maybe not a Great fit, because I can tell that if the band weren't so ... firm (on the tightest set of hooks, mind - I think I've lost an inch off my ribcage recently), the wires would want to shift down, especially right at the gore, but it is firm, so they don't, making it still a Really Good fit.

I am going to have to move the hooks on this one right away, I think. However, all my Fauves are about to get some surgery because they are all stretching (because I wear them so much, obviously). Recently having to move my 30F - Fauve » Pearl Padded Half Cup Bra (0221) to the tightest hooks was the catalyst, so I will just add this one to the stack.

The center gore chafes a little, but I can't tell if that is wires or scratchy fabric, and will report back after the first wash. It's a little wide for me, but almost every other bra on earth can claim the same. It otherwise tacks and is comfy, and is nothing like the 30F - Fauve » Maya Padded Half Cup (0271) I struggled with.

Cups are shallow in the bottoms, as I mentioned, and I think they are a mite shallow near the gore as well, because when the wires felt like they wanted to migrate, the pressure was mostly at the center. The outer edges of the cups at the wings accommodate my side fullness beautifully. The tops gape slightly, but it's nothing that will show under clothes. I love the neckline, and don't even mind the somewhat minimized profile I get from this bra.

The wires are good for most of the shape of my Infra-Mammary Fold, except the outer portion, which, like all my other Fauves, is too steeply curved for me. I've noticed lately that many bras' wings are simply so tall that the ends of the wires rest on my underarm tissue, which swoops (like the Nike swoosh) back to my shoulder blades in a mostly straight line, creating the illusion of tissue spilling over as though the wire were too short to contain it. This is not the case at all, especially since there isn't any volume right there to contain, but also because it's not uncomfortable and I almost never notice it until I see photos or marks after taking the bra off.

The straps are wide and well-placed, if a bit long - I had to adjust more than half right out of the package. They support nicely and don't feel like they'll cut into armpits or slide off shoulders at all.

The color of this bra is a bit of a miss for me, especially since I don't look good in salmon or peach, and this falls in that same orange-y-pink family. I even discovered that I had already noted in my To Try list that I would prefer the black. I love the damask/embroidered cup fabric, though!
