I am totally obsessed with rose print, so I've wanted to revisit Mimi for a long time despite this not working for me when I tried it in this size about a year ago. At the time, I was a pretty standard 28DD/30D, so I found both the band and cups to be far too big on me. Now, even though I am still a 28 band, I can get away with some 30DDs without band alteration due to increased cup size and fullness. Because of this, Mimi in 30DD fits almost perfectly, though the band is still a little loose and a 28E/28F would ... be preferable. At last, I've gotten my hands on the rose print Mimi!

In my current size, I found Mimi to fit very similarly to my Freya Summer Haze Padded Half Cup in 30DD. Both bras are 3HC styles, and have similar cup measurements and band measurements, though the main difference is that Mimi is slightly more open on the top than Summer Haze, and Mimi uses thicker foam padding that feels like memory foam, while Summer Haze is made with lightweight batting. Both are good for even shapes that are not too FOB or FOT. Both bras give me a rounded and lifted shape that looks great. I think compared to the Fantasie, Fauve, and Comexim 3HC styles, Mimi and Summer Haze are more immediately projected and more closed off at the top, which is ideal for my shape. The shallower and more open styles just don't really suit me. Note that seams are slightly more visible on Mimi than Freya Summer Haze or Patsy due to the thicker padding, so this is not great for wearing under very tight clothing.

In this size, Mimi fits quite well, though I feel that the wires could be a bit longer on the sides for me, and I could use a little bit more depth in the cup. I am measuring closer to 28F these days though, so many 30DDs feel a bit small in the cup. Therefore, I'd say that Mimi's cups run TTS, but the band isn't the tightest. My 30D and 30DD Cleo Marcies feel much more snug in the band. So, better to stick with your normal band size as sister sizing up may end up being a little too loose.

I'm not a huge fan of Mimi in the animal or polka dot prints, but I do love the rose. The background is slate grey, with a blue cast, and the design is of pink English roses with olive and chartreuse leaves. The print runs throughout the bra in the front, extending to the front straps, while the band is solid grey knit. The printed fabric is pretty standard lightweight knit used for many printed bras (similar to Freya and Fantasie). The band is single layer fabric, and it's on the thinner side, so this might be why the band doesn't quite feel as secure as a thicker fabric or firm powermesh. When I hook this on the tightest hook, it stays in place, but I think after some wear, it would be better altered down. 3HC styles don't give the best lift and shaping without a properly fitting band.

Cleo always plays with pops of color, and the rose print has chartreuse picot edging under the cradle and under the binding of the cup edge. Hardware and center gore bow are both pops of fuchsia. It's not too fancy, but a little unexpected, and I think the color combo works quite well. Other than the slightly flimsy band, one thing to note is that the straps are only partially adjustable, as the front is made from self fabric, and the elastic is medium width plain elastic. I wish they would've gone with a wider, textured option like on the Marcie to avoid slippage and provide better stability. Still, Mimi is a solid option, and if you are still able to get your hands on it, give her a try, and if the fit isn't quite right, try sizing down in the band to get a better fit in the cups.

Animal print is totally not my thing, but I liked the fit of the Rose Print Mimi enough to pick up another one, and Orange Animal happened to be the one that's available. This bra fits very similarly to my Rose Print Mimi, as both are 30DD, but the left cup on this bra is slightly smaller (the right cup measures the same), so it feels slightly smaller on me overall. Fortunately, the left side is my smaller side, so it works out.

Orange Animal is a standard small-scale brown animal print with accents of orange coral. The print runs throughout the bra in the front, extending to the front straps, while the band is solid black knit, with black elastic adjustable straps. Unfortunately the straps are only partially adjustable and the elastic is medium width plain elastic, instead of a wider and textured option to prevent slippage. The printed fabric is pretty standard lightweight knit used for many printed bras (similar to Freya and Fantasie). The band is single layer fabric, and it's on the thinner side, so this might be why the band doesn't quite feel as secure as a thicker fabric or firm powermesh. I'm thinking of picking up the Blue Polka Dot in a 30E to try a size up, but for now, this Mimi makes a good everyday option, as long as you aren't wearing anything too tight due to the visible seams.

I tried this on at Nordstrom Rack to get an idea of how Cleo bands run, knowing this would not be the right cup size.

The band felt ok, but now I realize I prefer a 28 instead of 30.

The cups feel quite big. 30DD is technically only one size too big for me, but it felt about a size and a half too big.

I felt the padding on this bra was quite thick and stiff, so this is not a style I would personally wear. Also, I don't like the center front seam as the only reason I would wear a bra that's not unlined is to give a very smooth appearance under very tight clothing.

    Used to fit

Narrow cup with a lot of projection and very open on top, which is perfect for tall roots and people with more tissue above the nipple. The band is pretty stretchy in the blue polka-dot colorway.
This bra's measurements have been altered
Bent the wires outward slightly at the center gore because they were digging in.

I bought this bra used because I was more than curious to test this cut. My standard size is 30D - 30DD and this bra is very wide in the band - I need the second hook - and rather big or open on the top. I am full on bottom and I can fill the lower part of the cup very well but the upper part is gaping. It is wearable but as I already own be tter fitting bras this one is not a keeper
