I bought this bra in 30GG (aqua) and 32G (black), and they fit so differently they might as well be different bras. 30GG is a great fit apart from being a tiny bit too wide and some in-cup quadding. 32G is way too wide with super wide-set straps, and I can't fill out the lace portion at the top, which results in a pointy shape.

Besides apparently being a completely different cut despite being only one sister size different, there are a few differences in construction between the two as well due to the jump from G to GG. The 32G has thin straps; the 30GG has thicker straps that are padded on the front half. The 32G has one layer of thin stretch lace; the 30GG has a completely different lace reinforced with power mesh underneath.

Unfortunately I can relate, this definitely happens in Cleo / Panache (and other brands - I know I was shocked to first find out, years ago with my 30GG - Freya » Flourish Balcony Bra (1542) - apparently Freya bras go from 'airy / flimsy' to 'industrial strength' between 32G and 30GG).

I've recently re-confirmed that Panache Jasmine (in 30GG versus 32G) is like a different bra as well. But for Jasmine, like you with Hettie, I prefer the 'build' of the 30GG - with 3x hooks, sturdy straps, less wide-set overall.

The 32G Jasmine has a thin 2-hook band, feels more flimsy, thinner straps, seems to suit a much wider frame (a.k.a. not me). The gore feels different as well (weirdly it seems higher on the 32G, while the rest of that bra is way less sturdy).

Good to know though, these variations over size range, so thanks for informing us on Hettie!

I've been so convinced this shape would work that I've tried it in 4 sizes now. This is the closest fit. 30G (in Black/Pink) was too small in the cups and felt extremely tight in the band (even upside down) so I sized up in both dimensions. This one feels, if anything, a little too big. (It's possible that, in addition to the size difference, the Teal/Blue colorway runs larger than the Black/Pink.) I get wrinkling in the upper stretch lace, although only on my smaller breast. The cups are too wide, but that is always true for me and not really a problem. The wires don't dig into my armpits the way they do in some Cleo's in this size (like the Blake). The gore tacks amazingly, but is a little too high and digs in just a bit. That's the only point of discomfort.

I haven't been able to make UK bras work for me in a while, so I've been pleasantly surprised by the Hettie thus far. I got this one at Nordstrom and would've sized down in the band except it was sold out. I will have to take it in, which isn't a huge deal. The great thing about this bra and why I was able to size down to a single G cup (well, I tried it on for shape since they didn't actually have a 32GG, and it turned out to work fine for me) is that the top mesh is VERY stretchy. In line with ... Ewa's BM cut stretchy. That's what allows me to keep wearing my BM Bibi Bezowa in 65GG even though I'm now in an H cup. The wires dug into my ribs a little at first, but I bent them outwards and they're fine now. I need to give this bra more wear before I truly can evaluate what I think of it, but so far so good. The fact that I can get away with the 32G is very handy because one reason I have trouble with UK bras is that they come up FAR too high in the armpit for me (which is only something that started happening once I passed the G cup barrier). My tissue is very short so that's a consistent problem. However, since I can size down here, the cup isn't too tall for me, so there hasn't really been any rubbing like there would normally be. The shape is decent as well. So I'll still stick to my customized Polish bras for the most part, but it's nice to have another option.

    Blue/Black colorway

This bra's measurements have been altered
Lowered the gore. Cups have the option of being plunge, or full coverage if I roll the cup up.
