    Used to fit

This is the first of my fitting bras, and I do love it to this day even though it in no way fits me anymore.

Excellent quality! And out of all the bras I've tried on, this is the most comfortable one. The gores were bothersome at first, but with wearing over time the fabric softened.
Gives the best of support! The bra has a sturdy feel. I kinda like the design, the pink/orange color combo is cute. The bow in the middle is sort of sideways because the cup separation is so small, but I like the frillyness of the edges.
The gores are the perfect width, my boobs are squishable and my roots so narrow that the wires have to be sort of rounded and smallish to be properly snug, and the Cleo Lily does this well.

Cleo is aimed at much younger women, hence the tacky patterns and colors. Too bad they are the best fit for so many less-young women (or less in to bright colors and weird pattern women)

Cleo Lily is sadly long discontinued, so if you find another in your size, you may want to snatch it up sooner rather than later. I personally love the "ugly" swan and parrot prints, but I agree that more options would be nice.

    • dbmamaz Ahh well that makes sense. Yeah, perhaps I can mail Panache and ask them if they can make some new Cleo Lilys but with a different appearance..? Hmm. I'll look into this.

kohakuriver (ohh my gosh your username!!) Will do! Hahah naww, it's nice to hear that someone enjoys them :D It's a cute pattern but far from what I would prefer. Then again, I have a dream of becoming a lingerie model, so my tastes are a bit more lacy and decorative x)

I always see the Lily mentioned as being the most narrow and projected bra from a UK brand, as well as having both even and center fullness. That sounds like it ought to be great for my shape, but unfortunately, it didn’t work for me.

I didn’t find it to be narrower than other Cleo bras – if anything it seemed a bit wider, probably because the wires on the swan print Lily are extremely soft, to the point that they were distorted even by a correctly fitting band. It does have a lot of projection and center fullness, but the projection is pretty much all at the ... apex and the center; not only does it not allow for any fullness on the sides, but it is also surprisingly lacking in immediate projection at the underwires, more so than many FOT bras I’ve tried.

My main problem with it though was the fact that there was a vertical indentation running from the straps down to the underwires, even when I loosened the straps to the point that they were falling off. The indentation was not visible, but it made the bra feel too tight on the sides. I don’t know whether this was due to a lack of outer fullness, or if it is just a design flaw, but it was too uncomfortable for me to want to wear it on a regular basis.

I have even breasts with wide and tall roots.

(I have this bra in two colorways, and will make the reviews match.)

Very cute bra. The mesh panel across the top of the cup is gorgeous! In this size range, it is accommodating to tall roots moderately well.

I wish the side panel were a bit higher, as I see a ever-so-slight bulge above the end of the wire--almost as if the underwires are slightly too narrow, but I do not think they are.

With significant wear, the thread on the sides of the mesh panel start to get fuzzy.

    • Thank you for that assessment. I've looked at this model a number of times, but I have tall roots as well, so it's good information for me to know. I always thought the upper cup closed off too low for me.

I tried the Lily in 28DD and found that while it wasn't a bad fit, it cut in slightly on my larger boob, so I decided to try the 28E for comparison (this is my usual size, or so I'm coming to realize!). The Lily seems a difficult bra to fit perfectly, because it's constructed in quite an odd way at the top of the cups - it's as if there's a little pocket just under the edge of the cups and you need to have projection just in that area to fill it properly. The material is also different just under the stripe at the top and ... has a tendency to wrinkle.

Despite this I found both this size and the 28DD to be decent though not perfect fits. The 28E fits well on my larger breast while the material wrinkles a bit at the top on my smaller breast, though this isn't visible under clothing. The bra gives a very nice uplifted shape under clothing, and I preferred it in this respect to the Marcie. As with the Marcie, the wires in this bra are too wide for me, but I found this to be less problematic in the Lily - perhaps because the wires seem to have more of a U shape compared to the 'Nike swoosh' shape of the Marcie. Overall I like the Lily quite a lot and especially the rounded and uplifted shape it gives under clothing.

I also got the matching undies in size 10. They're OK but fit pretty small, and on me are quite unflattering as they cut in a bit. I got these at a big discount so I don't mind too much that they're not a great fit, but I probably wouldn't bother buying them at full price.

The band is tight, typical for unpadded Cleos. I'll be wearing this one with an extender for a while, but I expected that. It will be fine once it gets broken in a little. The shape it gives me isn't as round as I get with the Cleo Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831). It's more like BrasIHate's green shape. I still like it though. The top of the cup is a little loose on my smaller boob, and the underwires poke me at the gore. I'll have to bend them a little like I did with my Marcie.

I'm not a huge fan of the "cutesy" prints that Cleo and Freya seem to love putting out, but I do like the look of this bra. I like the dark blue and coral pink together. The parrots are sort of a weird choice to me, but I can deal with it. Overall, I like this bra and will definitely be keeping it.

The Lily is often described as an improved version of Meg, but I think I'd be better suited to the Meg!

The overall appearance of this bra is great. I love the parrot print and the material is comfortable. It gives a fantastic shape under clothing -- very front-and-center and VERY uplifted.

The cup is fairly closed on top and the material is stiff, so the bra can't accommodate too much upper fullness. My left breast is taller with more tissue up to the collarbone and it quads considerably. Something about this bra feels narrower than usual -- I think the wings are shorter than typical Cleo. I get a little tissue escaping out the sides, although I do wonder if that could be fixed by a bigger cup.

The band is on the stretchier side of a 28. Typical for Cleo, the gore is stabby but that will just require some bending.
