This style is old and been reviewed a zillion times. It's not like anyone's gonna find a brand new one from any major retailer so I don't really feel the need to post a giant blog review about it. I am planning on a comparison review between the Comexim and Ewa 3HCs and the Freya 3HCs, because I think it would be interesting to the mass public to see the fit differences with them lined up side-by-side.

As adorable as JFI is, it's really not a shape match for me, and I knew that going in but was hoping I could overlook that. The problem with ... wearing fabulous bras that fit all day every day is it makes you unable to tolerate anything less than a fabulous fit. This bra is about a half-cup (haha, funny pun) too small on me, but it's obvious the wires are already much wider than I need. It gives cakes-on-a-plate cleavage because it's a bit small, but it also feels like I'm going to fall out of it (even if I really don't). I suppose I'm used to more coverage, even though this is the look some people go for. It's also lacking in depth at the underwire. Too wide, too shallow - story of my life. The band is also too big, and this is pre-owned but it likely would have been too big from the start. The longline aspect of it prevents it from riding up on the tightest hooks, but I wouldn't get much use out of it as is. Sizing up may offer more coverage, but would also result in much too wide wires. Given the fact the wires already bug me, and it's just too shallow, I'm not going to be re-trying Freya half cups again.

Interestingly - at the same time I got this I got a Daydreamer (Lauren based) half cup that had noticeably more projection at the underwire. It was also a 28E and I couldn't pray my way into it, so it went to the stepdaughter.

I will be listing this bra. Overall it's in really good condition for being secondhand.

I can believe the Just Flew In longline is too wide and shallow for you, but the profile shot makes you look quite projected! It's amazing. If I hadn't read your review, I might've believed you loved this bra.

"...28E and I couldn't pray my way into it, so it went to the stepdaughter..."

Oh man. I tried with that daydreamer too. I've always loved that bra. I tried not scooping & swooping, & it was passable if I stood very still & never planned on moving that day. Sigh. At least it's still in my house ;-D

    • It looks amazing!! Sigh--regarding fit.

    • looks beautiful! I know what you mean about fit though--now that I have some bras that fit great, I've gotten a lot pickier about what I'll accept fit-wise.

I look forward to your comparison. E.M. CH fits me significantly better than the others and it will be interesting to see the measurement differences :-) :-)

I love birds so I've been trying to get ahold of one of these (or the balcony) for years with no luck :(

    • I have a 36D with alteted band so that is a 30F now. The just flew in is perfect for a swallow shape. The wires are wonderful and the bra is soooo comfy. Just love it.

    • I would very much appreciate a comparison between Polish half-cups and Freya half-cups. The latter fit me pretty well, although the cups are a little wide, so I would be very interested to see what are the similarities and differences with Ewa and Comexim.

Love4Pollinators I've already done a direct measurement & fit comparison between Comexim 3HC and Ewa CHP. It's here: http://dreamsandunderthings.com/2016/01/28/bra-science-a-direct-comparison-between-ewa-michalak-chp-comexim-3-part-half-cups/

I think doing one with all 3 will be helpful, if only to show that not all 3-part half cups are the same, i.e. it is somehow possible to make a wide and shallow 3HC thanksfornothing Freya.

This is just soooo pretty, I'm in bra love. When I first saw the pictures of this bra, I knew I had to have the set. Didn't matter that it was full price and I didn't know if I'll experience any tissue migration. It's every bit as pretty as the pictures, the ivory lace trim, the oriental-inspired bird print, the gorgeous lilac colour. This is easily the most beautiful bra I own! The longline also looks much more elegant than the balconette version. I can't stop gushing about this bra!

The cups on these are quite low-cut and maybe runs just a bit smaller. They run smaller than the ... Freya Deco Honey (1254) for sure. The fabric is smooth and luxurious, and the fully-adjustable straps are comfortable, even when shortened considerably. Everything fits, and nothing digs, scratches or pokes.

The band runs a tad big, though not as big as the Deco Honey. Only having 2 rows of hooks is very annoying though. I wonder why Freya did that. I'm already on the innermost hooks after a few wears as the loosest hooks didn't provide enough support and there was just too much jiggling.

This bra is gorgeous, comfortable and gives me a great shape. I love it!

To be honest it's probably a tiny bit small in the cups but I am in between 28F and 28FF in Freya and I tried on the 30F in a store and it was a bit big in the cups, so I think the 28FF would have been too big. As long as the gore tacks and the underwires aren't digging in, I would personally prefer to have a bra that is a little on the small side than too big, as I hate the look of gaping cups under clothes. That issue aside, ... this bra is very comfortable and the back band doesn't seem to ride up even on my 26 inch ribcage. The straps are fully adjustable too, not that that is a problem for me. The only issue I have with the bra itself is that there are only 2 columns of hooks rather than the standard 3, which means it won't last as long.

I highly recommend this bra! I'm so happy that Freya is making it in a 28. For size reference: My ribcage is 26 inches, my bust is 34 inches, and I'm full on bottom. I usually wear a 28F in Freya bras though I'm definitely at the upper end of that size.

EDIT: I have just gone back onto the pill and my breasts have grown again, making this bra now too small for me. I've added pictures of how it is now. Shame as it's such a lovely bra! I'll still keep it for if my breasts shrink again.

I thought Freya longlines fit me well, but after wearing the Cleo Marcie, I've realised they kind of squish my boobs. I'm not sure if it's because the cups are too shallow or too far apart. However, they don't give me the same lift that the Marcie or the Zia do.

Beautiful bra. I like the lavendar color. I like the full band and the 6 hooks.
The cups have a very thin padding. Very comfortable bra.

This bra is just beautiful! I love the color and the bird print. The fabric is soft and the longline is comfortable but flips up a bit in the front if I bend over, etc. The cups run a bit small, i was getting quad boob is the beautiful thing. Gives good lift and shape, but I think I need a size up or need to lose some boob weight.

My impression is: This bra runs small in the cups compared to other Freya halfcups and longline bras.
The cup measurements of the 28F are similar to the Freya Ingrid Padded Half Cup (4453) in 30DD. I compared them side-by-side and they have the same size.

The band runs tighter than expected in Freya. I had 30 bands that stretched out too quickly and ended up giving no support at all, so I went for a 28 in this bra.
    Not the best idea.
I can close it, but it feels uncomfortable and restricting after a while. It didn't stretch out much with wear either.

    I tried a 30E (see 30E - Freya » Just Flew In Padded Longline Bra (1393)).
First of all, the wider band fixed the problem of wires digging painfully into my sternum. Such a relief!
It fit much more comfortably and still gave proper support.

To me, the rule "size down in the band in Freya" doesn't prove true for their longline bras after all.

I love this bra. The material feels flimsy because I'm used to more substantial padded cups, but I don't really worry about nipping. The wide band is super comfortable. I get amazing uplift and support even though the band feels very loose compared to my other 28 bands. My only fitting complaint is that the wires are super wide on me, but it's not a dealbreaker. It's also really shallow for a Freya. I normally fit the 28E, but I got it in this size so I would have something comfortable and pretty that doesn't quad for that part of the month when I'm otherwise miserable.

I love this bra. It's cute. It doesn't give make a weird shape under clothing.

Still, it's not perfect. As many people have pointed out, the band tends to roll up. It's not uncomfortable, but once I notice it, it really annoys me. I do think the band could be a little more snug, so it would be nice if there were three hook settings.

I would like the wires to be wider and go higher on the sides to accomodate my wide, shallow boobs... I do get a bit of armpit fat while wearing it.

I have a shallow and wide root, and this shape is nice and open on top. I was worried Freya wires would be too narrow, but they seem perfect. However, I don't have quite enough projection to fill the 28F out (though I almost can right before my period).

Although I filled out the size 28E cups fully, the wires were too short and the cups didn't provide enough coverage near the underarm, so I decided to keep the 28F instead.

I wear the same size in this as I do with Cleo. It's more open on the top than the Cleo Marcie, kind of like the Cleo Juna ... (28F), but with better side wire and cup fabric coverage.

Note that there are only 2 columns of 6 hooks each, not the 3 columns found on the other Freya longlines in 30+ bands. Also, the shoulder straps are wide "industrial-strength" elastic (like on the Freya Ivy longline).

I find it comfortable (and it's really really pretty overall!), but some may find the gore too high - if you find the Juna's gore too high, you won't like this.
