The pictures don't capture this well at all, but this bra looks like it was painted onto my bigger (left) side and wrinkles only very slightly on my smaller side. I love the way it fits, lifts, and gives a very flattering and attractive shape. I am so happy that I got this bra in a trade!

I forget what this bra is supposed to be diagnostic of but I think it is ideal for my shape. Full on bottom? Even? Hippogriff?

Also, the cups are less than a half inch wider than my tissue on the sides, so I call that a win.

Hippogriff, hahahaha. It's supposed to be for FOB boobs. You got some tall roots but you also look quite FOB so the tops of these cups don't seem to cut into your tall roots. Congrats on a bra win!

I'm not entirely sure what's going on with this one. The band fits great. The gore is lower than my Cleo Lily, which is a huge relief. Surprisingly, the cup is perfect on my right boob and wrinkly on my left. I thought any size difference between my boobs was negligible but I guess Lucy doesn't think so. The cups also feel like they're just a tiny bit too wide. [Edit: this is negligible.] Regardless, it's comfortable and seems like a decent enough fit, so I will be keeping this one.

Edit: or maybe not. I got another Lucy in 28D which is a better compromise for both boobs imo, with only the slightest quad on the right.

Edit 2: Actually, I'm not sure about that anymore. The 28D is fine on my left boob and quads on the right. The 28DD is fine on my right boob and wrinkles on the left. Which one fits better overall seems to vary by time of month so I might just keep both.

The wires and straps were quite wide. I had quad boob after swooping and scooping, and wrinkles were the nipples meet the cup. The pink colourway is lovely, but she just wasn't the gal for me.

The cups in this bra are definitely too deep for me. I have shallow breasts and I probably should have purchased the 28d, although I'm still not quite sure it would suit my shape. The top lace portion wrinkled and there were slight wrinkles around the cup. I tried doing the scoop method and everything I could to try to fill it, but it just wouldn't fill. It's mainly in the top portion that I am lacking in. It's my first 28 band, so I guess I have to expect some failure while searching for the right bra! Everything else seemed to fit fine and it's a gorgeous bra. It is just too bad because I purchased it from the UK (I am from the US) and would rather not have to pay to return. So, if you are at all hesitant about sizing and you have shallow breasts, go for the smaller size!

I have conical breasts that act more like full on bottom/projected/short roots. This bra is my best fit so far! There is some wrinkling at the top of the cup on my smaller side, but it fits my larger one really well! The band is firm. The only concerns I have are that the lace doesn't lay well under thin fabrics and it really shows my pointy shape. However, I am used to molded cups, so this will just be an adjustment for me. I like how this bra props up my breasts!

Update: Sadly, I ended up not keeping this bra, as the uneveness of the lace and pointier shape bothered me when I wore it out in public. I still think it is a very pretty bra, but probably would not be very functional with my wardrobe.

I tried the 30DD and this one. I don't know which one fit worse, which makes me sad. I really wanted this one to work.

The 30DD was too big in the cup and the tightness of the band was alright. After trying to fit my breast tissue into the cup, I could see the wrinkling at the top for both breasts, and there was the bulge under my arms.

Whereas the cup and the band were too tight. I got quadboobing immediately after scooping and swooping, and the bulge under my arms was quite prominent.

I'm very sad, as I was looking forward to trying this bra and hoping it would be a great fit.

This bra was fantastic when I was 28DD, good for my even, tall, shallow boobs. Too small in the cups for me now, the top line cuts in and I spill out. Such a vibrant pretty colour scheme and the lower cups are lined with a soft mesh inlay.

I tried this on in my calculated size 28DD and (as I imagined) the cups were too big. My boobs are shallow with a wide root so that may be why. The cups were flat in some positions but as soon as I bring my arms together in front of me the gapping would appear. Otherwise the bra itself is very pretty. It's not very good for everyday wear as the lace shows up bumpy under thinner/jersey fabrics and my nipples still poke out. I found the band to be slightly tight while wearing it for 20 minutes so I would imagine it would be uncomfortable after a whole day of wear. As the bra is made of lace, it is slightly itchy especially around the center gore. The center gore may also be slightly wide for me. The straps are fully adjustable which is always great!

    • Cleo bands are known to run tight; have you considered buying bra band extenders to wear with them while they break in?

And, the only position of fit that really matters is standing/sitting normally, upright, etc. Gapping is bound to happen in other positions, but the one that matters most is the one you will be in 98% of the day!

    • tiggaren Oh it's good to know that some gapping is allowed. Although in this case just raising my arm seem to have caused gapping. I'll keep band extenders in mind in the future! :)

    • 1

Molded bras, especially, will gap when you reach forward or up. Gapping is definitely allowed, as long as it's not when you're standing or sitting upright. Don't have letterphobia. Or letter shock. Or whatever you want to call it. A DD may sound huge or unreasonable to you, but it's not I promise. It's just a letter. Pictures would really help us help you :)

    • lcl0706 Are you unable to see the pictures on the left of my review? It's showing up for me. :\ If you can hopefully you'll be able to access if the gapping is acceptable or not. Thank you for your help!

    • Oooh! I see them now. My bad. Yes it does look a little big. What about trying it in a 28D?

    • 1

      lcl0706 Yeah I think the next sizes I'll try are 28D and 30C. :)

    • 1

Are you making sure to scoop and swoop thoroughly? I swim in my bras before I pull all the tissue into my bra.
Also, I think this bra might be wrong for you at any size. Your review makes it sounds like an orange in a glass effect, where the cups are too projected for you in any size you try.
I would personally skip the other sizes and try shallower bras.

    • animated Right now the issue seems to be that unless I have perfect posture (shoulders behind my ears, arms at my sides, upright) the bra will gap here and there. I'm not sure how normal that is but admittedly the one bra I have that never gaps is a 30A and after scooping and tucking I will have a slight quadraboob effect.

    • It's mostly about your comfort, but a little gaping is okay. It sounds like this bra is uncomfortable for you though, so I think a different size and/or a different bra would be better. Don't write off 28DDs yet though!

    • 1

Well, I don't swim in my bras before s&s, so there's that. I might have a little extra space, but usually not much. At first, s&s'ing helped me to realize that I need wider wires though. I didn't realize how wide my roots were until I went to grab all my tissue.

Like I said, I do think this particular bra does not fit you, whether it be too big in the cup or too projected for you. If your heart's set on trying it again, I'd go for a 28D. I wouldn't bother with a 30C, just because I'm all about wearing the tightest band you can comfortably wear without being in pain. The band is the last thing I compromise on if I'm looking for the right fit in a bra, even if it means trying sizes I never could have dreamed of (28G anyone?). I will go up in the band if there's solid evidence the bra in question runs tight in the band.

animated lcl0706 Thank you both for all your insight and help! I guess it's just back to the drawing board. Geez finding the right bra really is turning out to be a treasure hunt adventure. :\

The wires are the perfect width. and the band is quite firm, perhaps overly so. The gore ever so slightly doesn't tack, but the width is exactly right for me. However, the top edge of the bra cuts in along my larger breast, and maybe along the smaller as well. I am fairly even, so I can't tell if this is a shape or size issue. Also, I have a hard time keeping my nipples under the seams, and the bra gives me a slightly downward-pointed shape under clothes. I realized that this is because the bra's apex is lower than my natural apex, which points to the bra being too small.

I am going to keep monitoring the fit throughout my cycle, as well as try a more open Cleo in a similar size.

I have the Coral color. I feel kind of smashed while wearing this bra. This bra is just too small for me. I really like the color though.
