I was really hoping this bra would be the answer to all my frustrations! I had heard that this was on the small side and as I am finding most of my 28ffs seem a bit too small, thought therefore 28g in this might be perfect. But unfortunately not. Whilst the 28ff was definetely too small, the 28g wasn't right either. It was too high under my arms and I wasn't filling out the top of the cups properly (which is often the case for me - maybe because I am short???). Also the shape was a bit funny. In the 28ff ... the shape is really lifted and round (although it didn't fit) but in the 28g I felt my breasts were sitting too low and I had to make the strap really tight to lift them high enough which became a bit uncomfortable. (so far all the Curvy Kate and Flirtelle styles I have tried seem to be similar fit for me - i.e. they don't seem right! - which is unfortunate as they make really pretty styles and there bands are perfect for me)

Ok - someone please tell me the lace trim at the top of this bra softens up with washing. Cause if it does, it's going straight to the sink. Right now, I want to claw it off my chest. Since I practically stole it for $14, I reallllly want to make it work. The itchy though, oh the itchiness. This is why unlined bras and I haven't agreed thus far.

    Back to the bra.

Pros: Nice firm band. 3 hooks - thank you Curvy Kate! So pretty, the "night" color is a stunning cobalt blue that is very flattering on my tan ... olive skin, and I can see how the nude and pale pink colors could be quite sexy. And the soft polka dots and silver trim and details are great little extras. Cups don't close in as much as the Bardot does, so there's no quadding. I feel supported and lifted, with a nice natural shape. The rest of the cup minus the lace trim isn't unbearably itchy, although I wish the whole thing was cotton lined.

Cons: My smaller boob doesn't quite fill the cup at either the top or the bottom, so there is some wrinkling on both that you'll probably notice in pictures. The lace feels like it's made of pine needles.

I like it. If I hadn't gotten it so cheap, I wouldn't have ever considered this bra. So really, it's a keeper.

UPDATE: Never softened up. So itchy. Too wide and shallow.

    • lol @ pine needles! I have it in pink. It gets better after washing but its still on the itchy side. Plus I don't like the wide wires. I just got my first unlined Ewa Michalak sm style bra and its just so much better than old CK and Freya unlined bras.

    • I'm gonna have to wash it cause it was a steal and fits really well overall. I need the wide wires lol. But dang, this lace.

Ok, I washed it last night. I'll have to stitch in a lining or something. I'll to look for something soft that is the same shade of blue next time I'm out shopping. This lace. I can't, I just can't.

    • Well, I am happy to see that a non-molded cup worked for you! I keep looking at Princess for myself but feel like I'm breaking out in mild hives whenever I'm about to pull the trigger. Maybe I'll give it a whirl.

    Fits

Pros: Fits. Didn't cost me an arm and a leg. The polka dots are kind of adorable.

Cons: not great quality, you get what you pay for with Curvy Kate bras.
can't be worn under thin fabrics unless you don't mind the lace showing through.

This is the first bra that I have bought in the correct size. The back is lovely and firm on the loosest hook and the cups fit perfectly. When I first tried the bra on the centre gore dug in slightly but with a bit of breaking in it feels fine. The shape the bra gives is very natural looking maybe a little bit pointy but not enough for me to send it back. The straps aren't fully adjustable which isn't a problem for me but could be for some. This is my first Curvy Kate and I'm definitely going to buy some more!

This bra is now too small due to migration.

Cute bra! I had some major fitting issues with it though. The 28 band seemed to stretch a lot and I was easily able to hook it on the tightest hook, and pull it away substantially from my back, whereas the 28 I just bought from Freya was a nice, tight fit on the loosest wire but the initial band length was the same. The wires seemed to do a lot of stretching - they expanded to be almost on my back, which then caused the side of the cup to cut into the front of my arm. This was pretty uncomfortable and also changed the shape of ... the cup, make the fit even worse. The gore fit pretty well on my sternum, but sat a little on top of my boob on one side. I only tried it on long enough to evaluate size and take pictures, but it didn't seem to poke into my sternum. I adjusted the straps to try and help fix the fit, but they wound up just hurting my shoulders, though they weren't visibly digging in. Lastly, I experienced a some wrinkling in the very bottom of the cups. This bra might work for me if I go a cupsize down, provided the wires don't stretch as much as this one does. I definitely need something with a firmer band since a 26 isn't available.

Like any Curvy Kate bra with a small band, the underwire dug into my sternum in a painful way when I tried this on. I used a cotton pad to counteract this effect but the cups were too large anyway. Other than that, the straps and band were just right. No discomfort under my arms and it's a very cute style.

I really like this bra, but unfortunately cannot speak to its accurate fit, because the size I currently have is a little too large in the cups. The band is a great fit, and I like the results of having three hooks in the back. I imagine the cups would be great, if they were the right size.

The fabric, when its brand new, is a little bit scratchy. I don't find this to be as much of an issue with the bra as it is with the panties. I expect this would soften with time, however.

It's a very pretty bra, but the cut just isn't for me at all. It's way too wide!

The lace at the top edge is very itchy! I couldn't get used to it, and I'm not sure it's something that will get better with more washes.

The band is very tight, which was a great thing, and in the light pink and white color, it's very feminine and pretty!
