I have reconstructed breasts (with implants) and this bra is often recommended for women in my case as it has stretchy, shallower cups. I ordered the 32D along with 32DD. The 32D is a cup size down from what I usually need, but I wanted to try it based on reviews about the wire being wide...I am not very wide breasted. It was fairly close in terms of wire width, but not quite. I felt the cups were a bit too shallow and restrictive for me. The band was a nice snug fit though and felt snug enough at 32 for me (I usually prefer 30 or very snug 32s).
This is a very nicely made bra, with high quality construction. The wires feel strong. It is definitely full coverage and a little too full coverage for me, a relatively petite woman. Not my cup of tea, but it definitely felt secure and modest.
Love this bra! This is the most comfortable bra I've ever been able to find. It fits like a well loved tshirt, and I have no problem wearing it all day long. I just wish it was a little cheaper, then I could all the colors.
What a revelation. I've only had two bras that ever fit me perfectly, and this is one of them (the other was a nursing bra)--because the sizing help here and at the Sophisticated Pair FINALLY helped me figure out my correct size. It's still new, so I can only hope it holds up well after time, but wow. Wow. My girls are proud, high, locked and loaded, but this is still a really comfortable bra.
It definitely has full coverage. I'm short and the sides do come up to my armpits, however the wire in them does not come up as high and so I'm not poked. I'd say it fits "true to size" that is I measure 36 underbust, 44 bust, and come out to 36H US, which is exactly this size. I tried the 38G and 36G just in case, and in both cases the center gore did not rest against my sternum comfortably like this size does. I don't like how round it makes my boobs look. It feels like it minimizes and flattens me out. The cups are stretchy. They completely cover my boobs, which feels like too much since I'm so short. But overall I feel very secure in this bra.
This bra is the perfect minimizer. It's great under t-shirts, and when you don't want to have any cleavage. The straps are thick, a feature which gives it amazing support but which makes it difficult to wear a shirt with thin straps and not have the bra straps show. Also, the underwire in the middle of the front goes up pretty high, so you can't have any low cut shirts.
Overall, I loved this bra so much that I bought another in a different color. I wear it all the time, including when I'm just sitting around at home. When I started wearing it, people mentioned that I looked ...smaller/like I had lost weight. The bra itself looks kind of granny-ish (thus my rate of "meh" on Bra Appearance), and since I'm young I guess that bothered me at first, but it's so comfortable that now I don't even care!
One more thing is that since it's not padded, sometimes I have a tendency to "poke out" when it's cold out, which is just something that happens with all unpadded bras. Read more 72 more words
This is a very well constructed molded bra that has wonderfully padded straps...unfortunately after washing once, the cups shrank a bit and no longer fit. Sad, since it was around $60 new.
The T-shirt type bra (it has seams, but wears undetected under thin shirts) feels well made and the band is true to size, but I just didn't pay enough attention to how my boobs fit into the cups. The center gore is squished outwards slightly due to breast tissue escaping the cups from the center (or out the sides if I pull them back toward my arms).
The bra itself has underwires that do NOT poke me in ...my underarms and the straps do NOT try to fall off of my shoulders (big thing for me). The shape of the bra gives me a rather flattened, but natural shape. I think this bra borders on being a minimizer, but it could just be because the cups don't fit right on me. The fit is excellent in everything except the cups, and it is very comfortable...just doesn't fit right though.
Overall, I would love it if the Wacoal bra came in my size--unfortunately, it only goes up to a DDD and I think I would need about two cup sizes bigger, maybe only one. Also, I wish that bra manufacturers would stop it with the flower prints on bras. Just my two cents. Read more 123 more words
