  1. Body By Victoria Wireless (241-207)

Normally I wouldn't buy a VS bra, but I found this basically brand new in a thrift store for $1.50 and couldn't pass it up. It's a non-wired padded cup bra with lace detail on the cups. It has four colums of clasps which is nice and right now I'm on the second from the loosest. I usually need shallow cups, but wow, these are super shallow, bu they work for me, actually give me a bit of cleavage. The band is snug and the material is soft so it doesn't dig in or itch. The straps are non-stretch in the front and ... not full length adjustable and I can't shorten them quite enough as I'd like, but they are convertible so I can criss-cross them in the back and then strap length is no longer an issue. I recently wore the bra on an international flight, so I had it on for close to 24 hrs and it remained surprisingly comfortable and I wasn't looking to rip it off in the bathroom in the middle of the flight, which I have done before https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

There's nothing better than a comfy bra at an awesome price! Glad it works for you!

    • Thanks for the addition to the database. I know VS really isn't so bad, it's just their darn "fitting techniques and lack of inclusivity!

    Didn't fit

This is an old bra. I’m talking, this was when I only went to VS, and they told me I was a 32DD. Ha! As you may have guessed, this bra’s size is a 32DD as well... I’m a 28H/HH.

But I thought I would upload this anyways despite the amount of dislike I have towards Victoria’s Secret!

There is a lot wrong with this bra. I haven’t worn it in forever, and it’s sad to see just how bad the quality really is. The material is not the best, but I will say you are getting what you pay for (kind of) since it is from VS which is ... an easily accessible company which has alright prices (this bra is listed as $49.50 as of now).

But let me get into the sizing and fit issues. Again, I want to preface that this size wasn't for me! So, maybe if you actually were a 32DD, this could work.

The cups leave gaps at the top— I will say this bra is full-coverage, and I am bottom heavy. These two don’t go very well hand-in-hand (in my experience). There’s wrinkling, gaping under the straps and the band is higher up on the back than it should be.

This may just be me, but it was very difficult to clasp the hooks on this bra. It may be the quality or some other factor, but I usually can clasp hooks fairly easily. I noticed the clasps are a bit too close to the actual band, making it difficult to get the clasp under the hook.

To be honest, I really do not have anything good to say about this bra. It’s mediocre at best. I’d advise to not support VS, but that’s my own opinion.

Well I guess you’ll maybe be glad to know that VS is about to close a large number of stores due to financial difficulty.

    • 3

Ah yes, I have heard. The world is changing for the better.

I think maybe more people have received the “there’s more sizes out there and bras can fit better than this” message. That’s encouraging!

Well...it's hard to say whether it "fits," exactly, since this is basically a band and some straps attached to two slightly concave pillows and that means there IS no space in the bra to fill or not fill - but the cleavage is to die for, and I bought it for exactly that reason, so this is perfect! Fellow cosplayers take note. It arrived in excellent condition as promised, yay bratabase bra swaps!

It's one cup volume down from my proper size, but I like it better than my former cleavagey go-to - the 32B b'temptd b'wowed - because this shifts around WAY less when I wear it, is less stiff and doesn't cut in under the arms.

    • I also have this bra, and I wish there were more things for people in our size range that are va-va-voom.

If you like the b.tempt'd b.wow'd, try the Change Tactel Push Up.

    • Ooo, I hadn't heard of that one before - thank you! Why IS it so hard to find that in our range?

    • It's because a lot of bra manufacturers think that cup letter = cup size. For example, a lot of Gossard bras will be push-up styles in cup letters A-C and non-pushup in cup letters D-G, never mind that someone who wears 30D and 30DD has totally different needs from someone who wears 34DD.

If Gossard is going to make bras push-up in some sizes but not others, they should do 30A-30DD, 32A-D, 34A-C, 36A-B, and 38A.

I love this bra!! I have shallow, wide, FOB breasts and usually struggle to find a bra that doesn't gape at the top of the cup. I've learned that demi bras are great for me. Apparently, I'm actually a 30C/30D, but I can often wear VS in 32C on the middle hook. The underwire of this bra is perfect on me - it gives great support, shape and cleavage. Even more impressive given that it's unlined!! Haha this gives me hope that I can find other lacy unlined (or quarter cup) bras that will look good on those of us with small breasts - does anybody have any recommendations?

If you like VS bras, try Aerie. They have 30D, so I recommend that size. Betsey Johnson and b.tempt'd also make 30D and are great for shallow and broad rooted shapes.

    • 1

If you're looking for VS bras for cheap, you can find a lot on eBay as well as poshmark & Mercari. I got a few unlined VS bras for about $10 or so.

    • Thank you ladies - I'll be browsing this weekend! :)

    32DD

I never thought in a million years I would like Victoria's Secret, let alone have become slightly obsessed with their bras.

Let me set the scene. I live in the UK. I discovered my "true" size approx 3 years ago, going from a 34D to a 30DD. I now wear a 30E or F usually. My impression of VS up until the last month was solely based on other people's experiences from reading about bad fittings and company attitudes on online blogs and seeing their somewhat irresponsible advertising and imagery which very much does not appeal to me.
I went to Birmingham a couple of months ago where ... they had a VS store, and I figured I go in and have a look around, hoping to have a giggle at the nasty diamante encrusted push up tack and feel smug about how supportive the bra I was wearing was.
However, my plan failed when I saw a couple of unlined bras I really liked (basically the only two unpadded items in the shop!). I tried one style in a 32DDD (E UK) and the other style in 32DD. The fit was really pretty good...and those designs and materials were gorgeous. Anyway, I promptly left after deciding I couldn't let myself be sucked in and the fact they're like £40 a go meant this was not a decision I wanted to make quickly.
On my way back home to my home town of Bristol, I had a vague recollection a VS was opening...and googled it to find it had already opened, 5 mins walk from where I work! So anyway to cut a long story short I have been lurking in the shop more than it is healthy trying to find the two unlined bras in a 32DD as they NEVER have them in stock. Eventually gave in and ordered online (!!! madness) and then they stuffed up the order and sent me this bra instead of the other style I ordered (I also ordered this bra in light blue which actually fits slightly differently to this one!). BAH!!!

But - this bra is a great fit on me. I measure 30.5 underbust and was worried this may be too big as it is my first 32 bra. However I wore it comfortably on the loosest hook today although think I will definitely be utilising the others fairly shortly as fully stretched this does measure 32 so is true to size. There are 4 sets too which I'm pleased about. For me this design is KILLER! It reminds me very much of my Parfait Caroles except this guy has a gorgeous crochet over the lower boob part rather than lace. The upper cup is a thin mesh. The main difference between this and Carole (and what made me desperate to try this) is that this is a plunge - there is barely a gore in that it doesn't even really come up between my boobs. Sometimes the high gore on my Caroles irritates very very slightly, so to have such a similar design without that one teeny failing is AWESOME! The wires on this are slightly narrower I think, another slight reservation that I had, but I actually think this wire follows my natural breast root better than any other bra. It is very comfy and materials so soft. With no visible seams and no labels the band's interior and exterior are both completely smooth. For all VS's advertising bullshit, they seem to make some smart choices with the designs of their items. Another one is that although the straps are only half adjustable (as they get wider from the top of the shoulder down to the cups), you can detach them at the back and make them into a crossover back. I haven't tried this yet, but it's a great way to provide an alternative/racerback way to wear as well as making the half adjustable issue more wearable for more petite ladies.Smart, huh?

Time will tell with this one how good the quality is and how quickly the band stretches out. If these two factors hold up though, this might be a bra I basically buy in every colour.

Whilst VS have some clear failings, they've pleasantly surprised me in many ways so far. I must say I do feel slightly ashamed of this blossoming love but it's also pretty awesome to have a shop in my city that sells beautiful things that fit me well (albeit at a rather inflated price). Arghh I feel like I'm selling out the large cup community and am battling slightly with my initial judgements of the company and how I feel now.
But yeah, great bra if you fit in the size range! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

I dont think you are the only one to find they actually like some VS bras. A lot of the venom towards VS comes from their awful sizing advice, esp for people who really are not in their size range. Its cute!

    • I've come across a few unlined VS bras that I really like as well. And like you I'm a 30DD (sometimes 28E), and I get 32D. They're a lot more comfortable than most of the bras I have.
I have a longline version of this bra you have coming to me soon.

    • 1

Prettyncharmeuse Ooh I saw the longline version on the clearance section of their website in my size the day after I placed my order, d'oh! And it's down to like £14. I would soooo have bought! Never mind though :-) Hope it works for you. dbmamaz that's a relief, makes me feel a little better to hear that a lot of people aren't immune to VS's charms! I completely get that they only stock a small size range and abuse a position of trust to mis-fit and sell people bras that don't fit them, and I believe that's wrong. That's why I'm torn because I don't like the idea of buying things from a company who think that is acceptable way to do business/treat people. The horrible irony is that this year I've specifically wanted to "vote with my money" to get into smaller, more ethically made brands. And what do I do? Sell my soul to the biggest lingerie company in America! Eek :-/ damn them for opening a shiny store in my home town ha.

    • I'm always torn with this whole 'buy local' thing . . . i mean, I mostly buy groceries and paper goods. I do buy some bras from EM, which is a small woman-owned business, but certainly not local! I buy veggies at the farmers market when its open. but . . . most everything else comes from amazon, target and kohls. there arent very many small stores near me anyways.

    • 1

This bra looks fabulous on you! I don't have much VS experience - the ones I've seen were mostly padded, so I thought that's all they made. I don't think you should worry about the VS image - it fits and you like it, so it's a success.

    • 2

emsiepie I'm happy you found a bra that works well for you! Thanks for sharing your story of guilty love, which made me smile. That Victoria's Secret does serve some customers' needs well doesn't mean you've betrayed the full bust community at all! I didn't know VS made unpadded and unlined bras. That's good to know.

    • I have a VS unlined bra for sale actually - it was the last 'almost fits' bra I bought - I think a 32DD demi. I wore it maybe twice before getting pregnant (yeah, I think it was my lucky bra lol) and never wearing it again. its older of course, maybe before the pushup padded ones were so popular?

    • 2

erispe Aww thank you. I'm trying to not overthink the whole image/ethics thing with VS items but I reckon it'll take me a while to get over it! (haha two more bras might do it! ;-))
@learningaboutbras Omg "guilty love" sums it up perfectly, ha! :-) you hit the nail on the head there!

My first push up since getting my BA that actually works well (and is comfortable)! All is perfect except the cups are a tad too small for me. If my boobs werent very firm I would definitly get a quadboob - however since the point of this bra is to get a vavavoom push up look - I love it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

This bra is mildly uncomfortable. It feels like the underwire is cutting into my rib cage. I thought the band might be too tight...but then it has the classic symptom of riding up slightly in the back, although it passes the 2 finger test on the smallest hook. Photos sure illuminate problems...I notice it creates "armpit fat" which doesn't exist when not wearing the bra. I am pretty sure the size is just wrong for me. It's one of the only 32C bras I own - most in that size are just too big all around. I thought this fit well when I bought it though.

I used ... to think of this as a good fitting bra because 1) the band feels more fitted than most 32 band bras I own 2) the center gore actually lies flat against my chest 3) my boobs don't spill out the top, but there is also no gapping 4) It is flattering in that it's not padded, but I still appear full-ish with it. That is a rarity for non-padded bras and me.

I realize now it is ill-fitting because 1) the underwire cuts into the sides and my breast tissue spills out in the arm pit area 2) it relies too much on the straps for support 3) the band rides up a little & it's on the smallest hook. The photo really shows it does not lift me as much as it could, nor contain all of my breasts.

I like the style. I find demi-cups flattering. The lace & bright yellow color makes this hard to wear under much though. The quality seems nice, but then I don't wear it too often, and I think it's only been washed twice.

*EDIT* - Okay I edited this to say that I tried the "scoop" with this bra, where you smoosh your "armpit fat" back into the cup where it belongs, and my bra cup seriously overfloweth, creating the dreaded quadra-boob effect. So I am revising this to say, no, the cups don't fit at all; my boobs just tend to spill out the sides instead of the top, probably due to their teardrop shape. I also pulled the band down to where it should sit (it doesn't ride up a lot; just an inch or so), and when I did that it was very clear there is an extra inch of band length I don't need. When I pinch the band tight, the cups also become obviously too small.

This bra is pretty nice. I ordered it in the pink dot print, and was disappointed that the pattern didn't really look the same as it did on the website. The top is this kind of weird thick lace material (can't really describe it) that is not itchy, but it shows up under thinner shirts. The underwire is kind of poky under the armpit and it gives me kind of a square shape, but overall I really like this bra.

    Hasn't set fit

Unearthed a few of these truly ancient relics from the depths of the closet (never unpacked thru several moves over the years). At least 1 fit perfectly as it came as it never made it to the 'time capsule', the rest I presume were abandoned as lost causes to eventually piece out for frankenbras at some point that never came.

Fit appears to be tall, shallow, unsupportive, gore hovers over sternum and sits on inner boobs. Basically exists as a glorified nipple shield.

Cup itself is extremely 'open' with a less distinct pyramid shape to it at the very middle of the cup. Telltale creases ... all over the bottom, and extending from the outer side to inner corner because there's little room in it for anyone who needs projection. The wires are both typical bare steel U shape, but also corkscrewed out from the pressure of breasts bowing the gore forward and the total lack of reinforcing wing on the side of the cup. Obviously the outer wire gouged inward at the ribs, cup flattened entire outer breast and compressed the deepest part of the cup upward into a tiny 4" wide by 8" deep bowl while the rest of the foam looks to have strained diagonally from lower outer to the upper cup attempting to hold the displaced breasts back IN. If I recall correctly this thing might have been dealing with very upper full breastfeeding boobs which likely were around a 34E (actually 26GG but lol we all know those didn't exist pre-2010)

Other than that, this bra seems to be in excellent condition for having moldered away forgotten in the dark forever. I'd expect VS quality of elastics to long since begin to break down and feel perpetually soapy/sticky. Mild pilling along bottom of gore, band elastic and closure, some separation along the decorative stretch lace.

Materials used are '76% Nylon, 24% Lycra' and include a very fine stretch knit lining over stretchy molded foam cups. The external stretch lace is always the same in this trove, and only stretches horizontally.

My shape (I'm slowly learning more about this): teardrop, splayed, even fullness, average projection, low on chest.

This is a pretty bra. I love the color, and the it's higher quality and the lace is softer than I expected for Vicky's. It's mesh-lined sheer lace with just a little bit of thick-ish opaque lining in the bottom of the cup, which I assume gives it it's "push up" quality.

I think the push-up aspect is what messed up the fit for me. The band is snug and level, but the gore doesn't quite tack (I can fit one finger between the top of it and my sternum). The ... top of the cup doesn't cut into my breast, per se, but there is a lot of extra tissue on top. This may very well be the style, but I don't feel secure in it - I was waiting for nipple slippage. After swooping and scooping I had to do some strategic arrangement to cover the nipple, so I think the cups might be too small. Either that, or it's a shape mismatch and would work better for someone more FoB. The straps also feel like they're too far apart and might slip off my shoulders.

So I don't usually like Victoria's Secret bras, but I needed a few wireless and remembered loving their wireless bras. This one is very cute and comfortable! I love the mint green and Heather grey combo. I'm a 34DDD in Victoria Secret and this bra fits great (though just a tiny bit snug in the band). The only issue I have with this bra is that after wearing it a couple times the cups start to hang over the band a bit (you can see this a bit in the photos). I'm not quite sure how to describe this, but it almost creates a pocket between the band and the bottom of the cup. I'm wondering if this is because I wear a DDD and my boobs are heavier. I'm guessing that smaller busts may not have this problem with this particular bra. Still, it supports me and it's comfortable so I'm keeping it. Plus my partner thinks it looks sexy lol.

It's been a while since my last review, sorry! I expected to hate this bra - I mean, Victoria's Secret and I don't exactly have the best history - and while it didn't work out for me because of the strap configuration (ugh, cross-back, why?!), it definitely did the job of a lightweight sports bra. In my size range, I would say it could double as medium support. If only size consistency and range were improved, I would recommend this sports bra as a lightweight option. What a pretty bra! I got this in the purple marble, and I love the contrasting coral straps and trim! I tried it on with one of my fav t-shirts that's a very pale pink color (and always hard to find just the right color bra to wear with so that it doesn't show thru) and it was perfect! Couldn't see it at all! There were virtually no seams or "show-through" of any kind! Just a teensy bit of the cup's edge. And it's super soft and comfy https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

The main thing I love about this bra is the ballet back on the ... band, felt pretty tight for a 32 (which I desperately need) and the u-shaped back makes it even better. Felt secure without the band riding up my back. And the straps are fully adjustable and can be cross-crossed in the back. The cups are soft and not stiff (like they somewhat are in their "Pink" Wear Everywhere line). There is a tiny bit of padding, more of a "bump" along the wire, for a little uplift but it's def not a padded push-up. The wires do seem too wide for me, as they usually are in the 32DDD but I know I'd be falling out of the DD. The wires came too far out under my armpits. And the gore wasn't tacking at all, it feels like the cups are a tad too far apart for my boobs https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I felt the urge to keep pushing the gore down. Guess I could try taking in the gore a bit but I don't wanna ruin the bra. But if I keep it where it needs to be without scooping and swooping too much, I actually get a nice, smooth line along the edge of the cup without any quad boob! Yay for no quad boob!

Overall, this bra gives a terrific shape under t-shirts, as do just about all VS bras for me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> It gives a very nice, smooth, seamless, rounded, lifted shape without all the padding and mega cleavage! Despite the fit not being the greatest, I can def still wear this bra and plan to https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> Perfect t-shirt bra if you're looking for a seamless look without feeling minimized or flattened, but don't need all the cleavage and extra padding!

UPDATE: So I wore this bra ALL day, still have it on now, slept in it last night, super comfy!! This bra is def gonna be one of my new favs https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> It's perfect for when I want something with a little more coverage and I'm not spilling out of it, afraid my nipples are popping out! It has just the right amount of lining/padding, very thin but not too thin (kind of like VS Body but not as soft). The back of the band stayed where it was supposed to and I didn't have to keep tugging at it! Def a keeper https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

SECOND UPDATE (Lol): So I decided to hang onto this bra and I haven't really worn it much. It's been sitting in the VERY back of my bra "line-up" in my bra drawer. I was curious to see how it fit since I haven't worn it that recently. And the girls have changed a little (I do have implants and they've seemed to settle a bit more since I first bought this bra). I was amazed! I can not believe how well this bra fits!!! I'm SO GLAD I held onto it! It fits like a glove now! I was NOT expecting such a perfect fit! No more orange in a glass effect or quad boob! It's like second skin https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I added a few more pics that I just took which are more recent and the differences are pretty clear (to me anyway). Now I want to go get some more in all the different pretty colors!!! This is such a fantastic, pretty summer t-shirt bra!!!

This bra is comfortable to a certain extent. The straps are made of fabric and material for the first half of the strap with smooth elastic for the second half. I have to have the bra straps almost as short as they adjust to wear it. The first half of the straps have a material that lines the underside of the strap and towards the end of the day I feel like this rubs along my shoulders causing red marks. The cups are made of memory foam and provide good modest coverage. The band is really stretchy and I don’t feel it provides enough support. I have a few of these I got during the year end sale, so I’ve had to take the bands in to make them smaller. Overall this is a comfortable bra as long as I’m not wearing all day long.

This bra is not owned any more

    Hasn't set fit

This is one of my favorite bras and also one of the few VS bras I can wear due to my size. I am 30 D and the sister size 32 C wasn't comfortable. I tried the Dream Angels demi in 32 D after a suggestion from a friend on the tightest hook and tightening the straps and it works perfect. I have this in the solids and lace. The ones that have the lace patterns (white base color with black and white lace around bottom of cups) seem to fit a little different in the center and aren't as comfortable as the solid or lace ones. I look forward to getting some feedback on the bras I've posted.

In light of all I've learned about bras this year, I'd have to re-evaluate the quality of product that VS makes if I were to start wearing their bras again. Which is not an option because they do not deign to offer bras in a size that would fit me. And this saddens me, because I think they make beautiful looking bras. Always have.
