I purchased two versions of the Delicate Doreen; a white in 75G and a black in 80F - Triumph ยป Delicate Doreen Non-wired Full Cup (10135874). The purpose was to compare the size and fit of these two sister sizes. It is to be expected that the two are very similar; however, the white has 1cm more depth than the black, but is 0.5cm shorter. This tracks with the fact that higher sister sizes result in shallower cups, although the white is still wider. The black has a little more wrinkling in the bottom of the cup, and pushes my apex inward about 2cm, making it ... show quite obviously in the top. In contrast, my nipple sits along the seam quite comfortably on the white, with probably 1cm from its own apex. The gore also sits much closer to my chest, with about 5mm lift from the underband, as opposed to 8mm on the black.

It's worth noting that the black and the white are both equally stretchy (about 21cm); however, it's true that the black does feel a bit denser - I read that the dyeing process alters the properties a little, but I think it's been well compensated for. The black has less wrinkling in the band, which is understandable since it isn't stretching as much as the white is. But I'm much happier with the white's support, both in the band and the cup, so I think that's a clear winner for me.

Wide straps, wide band, no wires and structured multi-piece cups make this a very comfortable bra. YMMV with the Old fashioned pointed silhouette, but I really like it.

A nice lacey version of the Doreen. A key difference here is that the cups are not cut into the chest panels as in the regular Doreen; instead, a lace strip is drawn from the strap to the centre and the top line of the cup is elegantly sewn along. In order to stabilise the lace the strap hooks are in the back; they are still fully adjustable, however.

Instead of three panels to make the cup, there are only two drawn diagonally. This created a smoother line and it does comfortably cross the apex whereas the regular Doreen is likely to be off by a centimetre or two. ... Due to a lack of cup separation, the upper cup's panel actually makes a sharp curve downward to finish the gore and I must say it helps distribute the tension caused by splayed breasts. There is still a minor amount of wrinkling, but as much on the Cotton or the regular.

In terms of comfort, I'd put this between the regular and the Cotton. The scallop binding is quite soft, and the non-lace fabric is a soft polyester which glides well against the skin.

    Hasn't set fit

Regarding the construction, this a non-wired bra which looks and feels very sturdy. The band is made of one layer of thick and stretchy jersey fabric, and on the wing and under the cup the material is reinforced with an additional layer of mesh - stretchy mesh on the wing, non-stretch under the cup. The cups are made also of two layers of non-stretch fabric, the lace on the front and mesh on the inside. The wing has side boning. The materials look good quality.
Regarding the sewing, on the inside of the cup there are lots of visible edges of fabric at the seams. They look ... like they might fray at the first washing and they give the bra a very sloppy look, despite the fact that from the front the sewing looks very neat. I'm wondering if this is just a faulty item, as I would expect better quality from Triumph.
This style is a lacy version of the classic and ever popular Doreen style.
The size is not in my size range, so I cannot judge the fit.
