  1. I got this on sale at 60% off at Zovo Lingerie in Seattle, which is why I ended up outside of my usual size. I was very pleasantly surprised that the Deauville fit me in the cup, as I am normally best off in a 32G instead of 30. In fact, it's a really good fit. The wires arguably fit me better on this one than on my Prima Donna Tamise Full Cup Bra (bigger Sizes) (016-2431) while the depth is perfect. (ETA: I later read on a specialty retailer's website that the Deauville is traditionally Prima Donna's deepest fitting ... bra--good to know!)

If you are like me and have a lot of immediate projection, here's a tip for this or other higher-end bras that use very heavy duty fabrics in full cup bras with no vertical seam for shaping: look for the little wrinkles right at the base of the cup, put your hand inside the cup and smooth the wrinkles out from the inside, as you scoop and swoop the breast tissue simultaneously. Voila! A rounder profile instead of the somewhat pointy one that can occur with this full cup shape.

This band is too tight for me brand new--it is just barely 29" fully stretched out. I can wear it comfortably enough and can fit 2-3 fingers underneath without any difficulty, but bands tend to ride down on my V shaped torso when very snug so I'm going to wear an extender to add about 1in. to the band length for the first couple months of the life of the bra, or until it has stretched to 30" or so.

I love the blue color and am very pleased to have found one, since it's a discontinued colorway! And it's great to know the Deauville is a good fit on me.

Primadonna is a high-quality brand and you can feel it in the materials. It is very comfortable. It works great for people who are bottom heavy and need both wide wires and deep cups. I do have quite a number of gripes with this bra though. First the price. This bra currently retails for around 80-90 EUR, which is at the current exchange rate around 120-140 USD. Second, the wires are soft. While this makes the bra very very comfortable to wear it can also cause the wires to get bent out of shape permanently. I am not sure about the wire width that I entered, bc when ... I had a chance to compare my bra to a new one of the same model I could see that the wire on the new bra was more narrow. The bent wires cause the band to stretch far more than it should, plus it pulls the cup flat. The final gripe I have is that it doesn't come in my size. The bra doesn't fit me quite right because it is several cupsizes too small. The sizing label reads 95 H (EU), 42 H (UK), 110 (FR). However this is a case where only the bandsize is converted, when you convert cupsize the true UK size is 42 FF. I wear a 40 H/42 GG with Panache and a 40 GG/42 G with Elomi, small wonder I the wire doesn't sit flat against my sternum.

Beautiful bra, lovely shade of lila, but sadly not for me anymore. It's just too small, much too small.
I've rarely worn it ever. I let the bra lady convince me to buy it anyway even though it was quadboobing already, she convinced me that it wouldn't show under clothes but it always does of course and I was young&innocent&naive enough to believe her back then.

It really is super pretty and Prima Donna is a fine brand, although pricey.

The 44H - » Deauville Underwired Bra (0161811) Prima Donna is one of my favorite bras. It is so comfortable I can sleep in it. It's not a perfect fit anymore I'd gone up bigger than the cup size and this didn't quite hold my boobs (a bit of boob on chest action) because I had to go up to a 44 to get the right cup size. I didn't alter the bra...too lazy. I've recently changed size again and will be ordering a 40I to see if that will work for me now.

I chose the appearance as good because it is a more simple design. i love it, but I also love fancy embroidery, etc. This is an excellent bra for me!

The band is on the tight side, which is nice for once. The lace on Prima Donna bras tends to be pretty damn itchy when new, but they get more wearable with use.

Full-cup bras tend to suffer from being rather dull looking compared to other types - both in the shape they give you and in their visual design (which usually seems to involve compensating with a buttload of the aforementioned itchy lace). Deauvilles are mono-colored, and not all that visually appealing to me. But the shape they, and indeed most other Prima Donna full-cups, give you is one I rather like. The silhouette from the side ... is tear-drop like, which is both natural looking and nicely uplifted. From the front, the bra tends to separate rather than push together, which tends to make you look a bit wider than you are - but at least it's not to obscene amounts.

While the band was just about right for me, the cups on my 30H are a bit... off. There's a bit of empty space at the very tops of the cups (near where they join the straps), but one cup very slightly cuts into the breast tissue at the same time! It's a bit difficult to imagine what shape of breasts they've been meaning to accomodate with that kind of design.

  7. After going up a cup size this sadly doesn't quite work for me anymore. I don't get on well with full cup shapes as my bust is too firm and FoT when in a bra, so I now get significant quadding along the neckline.

I’ve always come back to this bra in shops, even the helpers always end up with this one. It is quite good and really handles well. I think I’ve washed mine countless times, and not by hand! Never have a single one broken

    The good.

Bottom and side sling, very high quality materials, impeccable stitching. Opaque (not net) bra back, and beautiful styling. Downward hike on the hooks, and arched gore for tummy comfort, and oppositional support.

Most notably, even though this bra is 2+ band sizes too large for me, and the cups gape hugely at the top, my tissue still remains well contained, and "guided" in this bra. I've considered taking in the band, but with the heavy engineering, I suspect it would affect fit poorly.

The inner sling sytem is amazing, utilizing seams, material stretch, and directional DOGS to achieve shaping-with most of this magic hidden inside the fabric layers that make up the cups.

    The bad.
Front strap lace that blocks the slides. ..but other then that? It's no wonder that the Deauville is prima Donna's best selling bra.

This is just quality as soon as start to put it on you feel the quality of it with way it goes on.
Depth of band is right for size and straps are perfect don't slip or mark has right amount of stretch with a nice trim on them.
The gore sits perfectly flat on breast bone with wires not poking anywhere.
Cups encompass the whole breast even to the sides very little over lap under arms.
The base of cups are in a lightly ribbed fabric which give it a light forming so pushes breast up slightly so does gives an uplifting shape the top half of cups is in a ... semi sheer embroidered fabric with a nice lace trimming to edge of cups and straps.
you just feel so held in so supported but without being squeezed anywhere and has enough cover over nipples so not rubbed/chaffed by lace fabric as one thing i look for as with P tumor mine are very sore easily so this passes with an A+ 10.
This is meant to be slightly more generous in cups than the corture but fits perfectly on me in 44F do have in black as well.
Ive worn all day and still feels just the same as when first put on so very comfortable don't feel any pinching anywhere so for me a perfect 10 what more can you want?
The look and appearance is fantastic even in white with the detailed lace trimmings showing it off.

So in a nutshell more than worth it's price and can see why it's sold as they say all over the world in great numbers a true classic bra so if in doubt go for it as a very worth while investment for your breasts! so what more can i say.

I got this with the Deauville briefs in 2xl they are a fantasic fit also very comfortable as one thing found since problem with hormones my body has changed with rear changing so female briefs fit better and with fibro things get uncomfortable so have to choose fabrics
